I've been to quite a few garages, and like most people, feel as if I am getting the runaround. Not at Ray's. Had a problem that another garage (Firestone) for some reason or other, could not figure out. But Ray's did. And Ray explained it to me like I was 5, which helps completely, because I am not a tech. He took his time, got it done and no more problems. He is a busy guy, but worth it. Completely.

Difficult to find mechanics that are trustworthy, and after many months of searching, I've found my mechanic here in Binghamton. After a bad experience at a few "quick turnaround" shops, Ray's took care of me better than anyone else around the area. Not only did they replace the bulb I needed, they fixed the seal around the compartment that was broken by the previous shop. Didn't even have to ask, they just did it, without charging me an arm and a leg either! Walked out with a quote on a future service, as well. Thanks for taking care of me and treating me as an equal.

Told me my Scion was in great shape it not took back to Cortland brakes bad and windshield cracked want know what did during there pre inspection not much.Then soaked my brother 511 dollars for what.

They are so helpful and nice. I got my windshield wiper fixed but then it broke again and they re-fixed it very quickly for free

Brakes are already worn. Pads are installed the wrong way. And they charge way too much if you're a visitor. I did the brakes myself and realized how stupid their mechanics are. Owner is a pure hustler.

Our first time here, came for a NY state inspection on the wife's car. Everyone was super friendly and even other customers seemed pleasant, both in attitude and with the service they were receiving. I'll definitely be bringing my car here when I need my inspection as well. The only reason I don't see it 5 stars is the parking is chaotic to say the least. Might have been just the time we got there (inspection was scheduled for noon) or just a coincidence. I heard something about there is a secondary parking lot but other than overhearing that conversation I know nothing about it. Very happy with the service we received, I recommend bringing your vehicle here, though possibly ask about parking when making the appointment.

Actually, I was a victim of his towing by victim.I mean that without my awareness, the town of bing. decided to hold Saint Patty's Day parade two weeks early, and the county had my car towed. But if you wish to do a punitive action against somebody who's illegally parked on your prace, Ray's towing is the one to go to $275, and that was without storge. I went to go shopping and the car was gone. The good news they did no damage to the car when they told it.It seems that they were very careful when delicate with it so there is that.

I couldn't be more impressed with Ray and his staff. My car broke down as I was passing through the area. Ray was there within about 10 minutes of my call. While it is a busy shop, they quickly fit me in -- started working on my car almost immediately -- and diagnosed an electrical issue that two other mechanics overlooked. While it took several hours of working (off and on because of the demands of the shop), Ray graciously charged me a conservative estimate of the time that he took on it, and had me on my way later that day. Greg and Jay were most pleasant and accommodating as I sat in their office, and even allowed me to eat of the pizza that they purchased for lunch. Although I attempted to pay for my portion, I found my money in the cupholder of my car once it was ready. To top it off, after Greg found out that I am a Christian, he escorted me out to my finished car and prayed for me before I departed. It was an unbelievable experience and way beyond good customer service. For what it is worth, while sitting in the office, they received a call from a young man who had been quoted $3,500 worth of work needing to be done (rack and pinion, and struts -- if I recall correctly) by another company in town. They fit him in (same day) and discovered that he only needed a fraction of the work done. Greg and the mechanic did not throw the other company under the bus as he gave the summary of their findings, and did not pressure the young man to use them. In fact, Greg encouraged him to think about it, research or ask someone he trusts about it, and give them a call if he would like for them to do the work. Again, I was impressed by their honesty and integrity. I would recommend Ray and his staff to absolutely anyone! If I didn't live seven hours away, I'd use them for all of my work!

I had a good experience here. I've only been here one time, but they absolutely fixed everything that was necessary and helped me pass my inspection. They even gave me a discount when asked. It was very helpful as I was tight on cash. Always ask for a discount at shops fyi!! Couldn't do the work myself as it had to be towed among other factors. It seems they marked up the price on certain parts, but it is to be expected. They have to profit off the time and effort put in to acquiring the parts so please keep that in mind. 100% will recommend them.

I drove up to Binghamton from Long Island and my car had an issue two blocks away from my hotel… luckily after a 4 1/2 hour drive I made it to the hotel parking lot which happened to be across the street from Ray’s. First thing the next morning I called, and they were super pleasant, accommodating, and incredibly helpful right from the start. Greg and the staff were dedicated to getting my car back in driving condition so I could make it home that night. I am grateful for their expertise, as well as their kindness!

Great place! Very understanding, polite. Reasonable prices. I believe they care about their reputation and work with integrity and professionalism. Very good experience here. Very helpful. Did not promise me same day service, but accomplished it the same day! Highly recommend for those who require quality of auto service!

I highly recommend this place, they are honest, fair, fast and do excellent work. By far the best mechanic I have ever been to. I have brought my car here several times over the past few weeks, and most recently my car was not going into park. They were able to take me the next day despite already looking pretty busy and it was done in a matter of hours

I whole heartedly recommend Ray's Auto shop for the Binghamton area. While passing through the Binghamton area, my alternator stopped working. A stranger recommended Ray's Auto. I called close to closing and explained my situation. From out of area, passing through. Looking for a repair that evening if possible as my whole family was with me. Ray went the extra mile to hunt down an alternator part, and also checked with his guys to see if anyone could stay late to work the repair. Ray was genuine and patient while working with me to figure out what the best chances were. Greg was a God-send as he stepped up and agreed to work the repair that night to get my family back on the road, as we weren't from the area. After a couple of hours for the repair, my car was working again with the alternator change. Greg also took extra time to explain to me different things about the repair. Afterwards we chatted a little more about life and reminders. Overall, both were genuine and I felt blessed to have met them at the time that I did, as they understood the situation I was in and both stepped up to help in the manner they could. Absolutely recommend giving them a call to find out what they can do to help when you need repairs.

Ray's saved my life when I needed a tow and an exhaust fix. They got to my car right away and helped me get my vehicle back to work after I broke down in the area. Nice guys, the price was fair, and they worked fast. Thanks Ray's!!!

Y’all, auto mechanics get a bad stereotype for shafting the unwitting customer. Not Rays. I swear to any god you choose, Rays is legit. I came in due to a funky noise, and they literally took this rusted part out and showed me where the wear and tear was, gave me price options, and a very accurate repair time. I’ve had them replace lights, brakes, fix cosmetic damage, and just... like, if my car looks/sounds/acts squirrelly, I take it to Ray’s. They always tell me if they spot something else while they’re working, too, and that’s fab. To boot, they’re always hella friendly and always willing to work with me. Great garage, 100% recommended always forever.

I have nothing but great things to say about Ray’s Auto. I have been utilizing the services provided for about 2 years now. Oil Changes, Inspections, Heat Shield tightening, etc. I have told my peers and colleagues about the great service and they all will be heading in this direction to have their vehicles serviced. My Minivan broke down at 11pm on our way home and we were stuck 130 miles from home with my husband, 16 year old son and 13 year old special needs son. Ray’s Auto was able to get our van in first thing the following morning and get us back on the road. Greg was fantastic and I would highly recommend Ray’s Auto any day of the week. Ray, is the owner, and he makes time for your needs and safety, and his crew are hardworker, and very helpful and rays services are affordable. He's my number 1 mechanic shop, and he has good vehicles for sale, also. Either way his goal is to keep you safe, riding and all at an affordable price.

Ray’s has been amazing! They saved us a ton making recommendations for what to fix now, what has some more life left in it, and sometimes performing repairs instead of always just replacing parts! Additionally, we broke down while out of town and Ray took the time to make sure we were safe and talk us through the situation including helping us get to a mechanic and back on the road ASAP. We could not be more pleased with the service we have received so far! Referred by a friend and we will definitely be making referrals ourselves!

I am eternally grateful to the fine gentleman at Ray’s Auto. My car broke down on the highway and they towed me to safety in no time at all. They then fixed my car first thing in the morning so I could be on my way. They are great guys running a great auto place. I highly recommend ditching any of the commercial auto shops out there and going strictly to this trustworthy place. You will quickly see a difference.

Stayed over night in Binghamton on my drive to NYC. Noticed my car may have been leaking oil so I got referred to Rays. He put my car up right away and inspected it to make sure I can continue my drive. He was fast, precise, fair and honest. Did not take a penny after being offered multiple times. God bless him and his shop! If ever in that area and need something go to him!

While In town from out of state N.C. for a family reunion with our whole family, myself, wife 4 kids and a baby, leaving the Hyatt we had a loud rattling noise coming from the front side of our vehicle. My wife spotted Rays form parking deck so we drove next door went it spoke to the owner Ray. The gentleman was gracious enough to come out on the spot and help check out the situation for us, although it turned out to be nothing major it gave us the piece of mind for us to drive back 10 hours to NC safely. Also Ray refused to take any money i offered, that shows a mans true character right there helping out a complete strangers in a situation where we could have easily been taken advantage of God Bless you Ray.
