Had the unfortunate experience of needing to replace a catalytic converter on each of my vehicles. YS took a little of the edge off, buying back the old ones. Quick in and out, and I got to leave with a bit of cash in my pocket. Keep your head on a swivel going in and out though, those forklifts move faster than you might think.
Port of albany gave me 50$ more then these guys clearly these guys are low balling day to day civilians hoping they are naive making way more then they really need to
Great guys to work for and do business with. Have all ways been helpfullvand straight forward. I recommend them to everyone I know. Always have the best prices around for scrap at JD car services in coxsakie and catalytic converters on dot ave.
Edited: I guess they do the proper checks to make sure the catalytic converters they buy are NOT stolen. Thank you guys!

Very unprofessional I’ve dealt them for quite some time texting them photos of a catalytic converter for a price they would send me back the price and if the title was needed they would include that information in the price quote. I sent them two pictures one day of two different cats from two separate cars. They responded with the price quotes and nothing stating to bring the titles. I drive all the way down there which is close to an hour from me, get there and am informed that they need the titles from both vehicles or can’t help me. So not only did I waste my time I wasted gas which is $4 a gallon!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!
As long as I'm alive, scrapping, & living in the Northeast, I'll be bringing my business to these gentlemen. Easy in, easy out. Friendly atmosphere, fast cash. The thing about this place is, competency. They know what they're looking at. Got Automotive Parts to recycle? Go to the specialists. Enough said
well guys i can only speak on my experience, which was not great ys has a price list but they dont pay from that they use a price list that is different from they one that advertise. i traveled one thousand miles and was excited to do biz with ys recycling i must say that i was disappointed to find that the reality was so far removed from what they advertised. i took a load of 150 cats and i got robbed IIIII GOT ROBBED. I WILL NEVER DO BIZ WITHEM AGAIN.
These guys deserve a raise and vacation they work so hard there realistic truthful respectful and fare equal on prices they will never do anything that's wrong even there mistake and they never made a mistake with me they take there time work with you as a team and fix the problem till it's all figured out they don't give up on there people or staff when you sell any scrap or cars or converters and YnS is so clean no lie they got everything sperated in piles it's crazy how they do it but hey that's there job there awesome they follow the rules of COVID 19 there god blessing hard workers even there other YnS yard another place that work hard and do the right thing and there realistic can't get any better then that and def. Drove from Batavia to sell converters. Good service, straight forward deal. Same prices paid that were quoted over the phone. A good place to do business.
I'd give 1 star if I could. Was quoted 150 over txt for there and asked the guy what the cat was going for he said 150. I went to my car and brought it in. He goes well ill give ya 95. The boss was not there. If you see a guy with a black beard stay away. He'll rip you. As far as your reply of 70 dollar I have ur text of 150 with a picture, and was also told 150 when I came in before I brought in the cat. Should I post that n make you look even more like a con man. Not the way to do business n hopefully you'll go out of business because I know multiple people you ripped ir tried to rip off
First time bringing in my catalytic converter and was very happy with my experience. Ys has great service and great pricing. This is definitely the place to go for bringing in catalytic converters. Would recommend to anyone who has a cat to cash in.
just take your cats give cash and a recept? why not run the prices by the costomer before you finalize the deal. short a grand, live and learn; i'll be going elsewhere; lots of competition to be shady mofo's!

He went $10 over... id say that's pretty close to our quote. If you want me to overpay on a converter thats not going to happen. If you feel shafted by that im truly sorry, we are not forcing anyone to sell.
I called a day ahead of time to get prices on 2 Catalytic converters which i was told were priced at $86.00 a piece. I went in the next morning (March 20, 2020) and was given 100.00. I told the man that he told me I’d be getting 86.00 a piece. He smiled and told me “oops well it looks like you're only getting $50.00 a piece” and walked away. Very poor place to do business with. Thieves and liars.
Called them yesterday they told me 86.00$ a peice I brought them in the very next day told me the prices went down gave me 50 bucks a peice for the cats crooks

I’ve been dealing with ys for years, they have always treated me great. Very responsive when ever I have a question. Wouldn’t think about going anywhere else for my catalytic converters. A++++++
This is the first and last time I’ll have a scrap converter I was a little nervous dealing with out of state but glad I did nice honest company to deal with.
Everytime I go there its friendly and never have any issues. Oustanding customer service everytime. Only place i go. All employees r nice and friendly. Love ys recycling
