I was coming thru some really rain outside of Raton when my car alerted that it was losing air in the back right tire I quickly went to Google to find a tire repair shop and JM tire came up. I went to there and they immediately took my car in and took off the tire and told me it was just the temp change in the weather that made it lose 6lbs. They didn't even charge me for them airing up all of my tires. Big thank you!

While traveling, we had an issue with our battery and possibly our alternator. Louis was able to quickly diagnose that our alternator was working properly and our issue was an overheating bad battery. They seemed like straight up good people who were honest. We are grateful.

I have a 1992 Chevy truck, driving from Houston to Seattle. It started acting up. They did not even take a pause. I have problems finding mechanics who work on that year and they can. Yes, I have to spend the night, but I am not broken down in the middle of nowhere

Flat tire sensor went off on our way from AZ to ND. Luckily, we were 9 miles from JM Tire and Auto Repair. Friendly guy scanned our tires immediately. Told us the problem; our air pressure sensor batteries were dying. Gave us education on lifespan of sensor batteries and quote to change. Since it was not a safety issue, he recommended we just continue drive and change later. Thank you!! Back on the road in 15 minutes! Free of charge was extra amazing!! Thank you!!

you guys are angels! i really appreciate your help. we are traveling from santa fe to Galesburg, il and my high pressure fuel pump gave out, and these guys got me checked out immediately and will have my car ready by tomorrow. they went above and beyond and gave us a ride to our hotel for the night. thank you guys so much <3 i could give you guys a million 5 stars if i could

Can’t say enough how great my experience with JM Tire and Auto was. My car broke down on the way from Santa Fe to Denver and we got towed to JM. Within 30 minutes they had diagnosed the problem and had a quote for the repair. The part that needed to be replaced wasn’t in stock anywhere nearby that day but they could have it done the next day. My wife and I both had to get back to work the following day and the staff at JM helped find a rental at the regional airport for us and even drove us out to pick it up. I drove back a few days later to pick up the car and they helped coordinate an after hours pickup and drop off of the rental. Everything with the repair went well and I felt like the price was reasonable considering the work. Highly recommend, the staff was super helpful and went out of their way to help us through a frustrating and stressful situation. Car trouble sucks but these guys really did everything they could to help us out. Highly recommend

This place helped me out when my car broke down on my way to CO. I thought my transmission was a goner but they figured out that a bolt had just come loose on my brakes and fallen out. They were honest about the job and it literally ended up costing me like $50. I was totally stuck and they basically could have told me anything, it was nice to get an honest place. This was literally years ago at this point, but thanks for the help!! I meant to write this review back when it happened but I was thinking about it today 🤣

We had a catastrophic failure on one of our tires on a trip and JM Tire and Auto had us back on the road in under 20 minutes! Nicest guys ever! Highly recommended if you're local or just passing through!

Nick and Stephen were extremely helpful, polite and quick. We had a trailer tire shred and they were able to fix it despite it being a 40ft triple axle trailer loaded very heavy. Got us in and out in under 30m

My daughter hit a pothole on the notoriously awful roads in New Mexico and got a flat! Wyatt was amazing and was great at getting her back on the road! Went above, and beyond to make sure they were taken care of! And the price was super reasonable!

An honest mechanic is a gem beyond price. Their dedication service and kind caring ways are beyond comparison. I have never in the decades that I have had vehicles serviced ever had a better experience. Than the service they give. I thought that some of the service I have had these past 50 years has been stellar. They far surpass stellar.

Goodness, it's been over a year since our visit (6.10.22) but found JM Tire's card again and wanted to PRAISE this group ! We were driving from the DFW area and our 2005 Tahoe died about 15 miles outside of town (on our way to Raton then Colorado to meet family). I believe it was a Saturday afternoon near 4:00, and we had our car stuffed with vacation gear, a bike rack, and our 14 year old Labrador. Not only did owner Angie Hill and manager Lewis Monohan arrange for a tow truck (Bobby) to get us into Raton and the shop (presumably to find a rental car since it was so late on a Saturday) but Lewis quickly diagnosed the engine problem, rushed a team member to the parts store, and had it fixed before leaving near 6:00 on a Saturday evening.... WOW !! To this day we are so very grateful for saving our entire trip !!! Can't describe our GRATITUDE enough except to finally write this review even a year later !!! (finally found the business card). Next time we are in the area I want to come by and Thank them again !!!!

Recently while traveling in NM I had an issue with my brakes. The shop got me right in and got my problem fixed quickly and for a decent price. Will definitely use their service again when I'm in the area! Great customer service.

Highly recommend these guys! We were in a tough spot after an accident in the middle of nowhere, and I first tried using my Life360 towing assistance to no avail. These guys were my next call, and I wish I had called sooner! They were very fast to get to us, and they allowed us to take our 3 fur babies on the truck with us. The driver was very friendly and made sure that before he left, our babies were good.

The gentlemen at JM Tire in Raton were so wonderful! On the phone they were extremely polite and helpful and got us in on an emergency! My partner and I were traveling for a work trip and our temp gauge wasn’t reading and my vehicle thought it was overheating, we were totally in a rut and Victor and Louis at JM Tire saved the day! Not only did they get us in immediately, they were patient and so friendly and got our vehicle back to us in no time. We are so happy we found JM Tire and Auto Repair, and I can’t say thank you enough to Victor and Louis for taking such great care of us and our vehicle! 10/10 service!!

Words cannot explain how thankful and grateful I am for you all. I am stationed in Denver and my family was driving back to Denver from Albuquerque, but they got a flat tire in the middle of no where. I called you all (after hours) to tow my family and you all were there quickly to get them before it got dark. Then you all went the extra mile and replaced the tire as well. Our pop-up camper experienced a blow out just south of Raton and we had already used our spare tire earlier on the trip. Victor at JM Tire was extremely helpful. He went out of his way to search around for a rim, towed our camper in a timely manner, and they were able to get everything taken care of in about 2 hours at a very reasonable rate. So so helpful and friendly!! We really appreciated this more than we can say! Highly highly recommend!

Check engine light came on during a road trip. These guys got us in wuickly. Inspected the vehicle. Found the issue. And were able to recommend a very low cost solution. Really appreciated how knowledgeable and helpful they were. Plus they were friendly to our dog, I always think that says a lot about people.

Stuck on the side of the road. I was told, by Verizon roadside assistance, that it would 3 hours before anyone could help because it was Sunday. We got a hold of these guys! They had a driver out in less than thirty minutes from the call time. He was SUPER helpful and quick about loading and unloading the car onto his truck.... fastest I’ve ever seen. Very friendly, professional, and considerate!! Highly recommended!!

Husband and I got a flat tire on our way to Denver. We called around Raton to see who could help us. We were really worried because it was already past 4:30pm and places start closing. JM answered the phone and were more than happy to help! They were friendly and fast. We were on our way within 30 minutes with a patched tire. No issues with the tire since!

They charged me $173 labor to change a starter on a Honda Odyssey, likely 45 minutes worth of work, & they didn't even bother to correctly hook up the battery. I had to fix that myself the next day when my van wouldn't start. I was a casualty of being "on the road" & needing a repair. They did get me back on the road quickly, but the shop was pretty dead. I chose to go here because the ratings were good. There are other places in town; know what you're getting into: shop rate $95 an hour, & apparently they don't work all that quickly.

Man where do I start. These guys are awesome! From start to finish were professional. My 2010 Expedition broke down 1000 miles from home, 10 miles from Raton NM. I had it towed to the nearest gas station by J and M tire till they opened on Monday morning. They had it picked up and had it figured out in a day. Wish I had mechanics down here like them!

We broke down in Capulin Nm. The tow truck guy was great. Funny, talkative, nice guy. (With an adorable son.) When we got to the shop ALL of the personnel was super nice. They gave my family and i some drinks while we waited for them to inspect the car. They went above and beyond to help us out. Lewis was very honest and upfront about our situation, and the time it could take to get us on the road. He recommended a Motel (which was awesome, the Roadway inn and suites) which was conveniently placed a short distance from several place my family and i could walk to for meals/drinks. Not only were they super nice, they drove us to and from the motel. As well as brought us a few things we needed from the car. If i could give more then 5 stars i would. Thank you guys for everything. You are the best!

These guys were our geico breakdown service providers. We had a blowout that caused $1500 in damage to our travel trailer, these guys came out, cut the tire off and towed it. Then stored it 5 days until the adjuster came. We bought 3 new tires from them and they repaired our trailer wiring for free. Highly recommend all services. Great staff.

Broke down with a horse trailer, on Trinidad mountain, they were prompt to assist, brought 2 trucks one with gooseneck for trailer and flatbed for truck, had truck fixed in 2 hours being there, sent me to a wonderful motel in area. Couldnt ask for better services and professional at all aspects. Thank you so much!!

We pulled into Raton at 1:30 in the morning heading to Yellowstone for vacation. As we turned into a truck stop we lost a back wheel on our new travel trailer. Called triple A and they referred us to JM Tire and Auto. First thing that morning Tyler and his crew came to our rescue. Got the trailer to the shop and started trying to help us with warranty, etc. He worked tirelessly to get info for parts and best plan for repair. Sometimes had two phones going at the same time trying to help. Deciding we did not want to wait for warranty to replace, Tyler referred us to trailer company in Trinidad and we took the axle over for repair and back to Tyler for parts and to put us back together. They even worked late on Friday evening, Fathers Day weekend to help us get on our way for vacation. We are so very grateful for their concern and hard work. Could have been stuck for several days getting repaired!!! Can't say enough about the way Tyler worked and led by example the work ethics and character you rarely see today!!! I finished changing a blow out with a spare donut on I-25 at 4:45 pm on the way to Albuquerque. I couldn't drive the rest of the way on a spare so called around in hopes of someone being able to get me back on the road. JM Tire closed in 30 minutes and I was still 10 minutes away. I called hoping they could do it and Louis answered the phone with a "No problem! We can get it done for you." They were fast, reasonably priced considering the circumstances, and proceed great service. Thank you!
