Pretty good BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a crisp, drinkable lager. Absolutely lovely staff and company in the locals. Former junkyard turned brewery and smokehouse- great stopover if you’re driving down I-40.

Really unique spot for a visit. It's a junkyard you can actually purchase parts from AND it's a brewery. They serve bbq sandwiches with chips, and have a collection of beers. The decor is snazzy and fun. It's a great place to meet friends and just hang out. Also a wonderful spot to park an RV for the night.

What a find in Grants, New Mexico! My partner and I had just hiked El Morro and were looking for a place to relax with a beer. The Junkyard is exactly that - it's literally surrounded by old, beat-up cars. It looks very non-descript from the outside. Inside it's a nice, clean, ultra-cool brewery. Their lager was excellent, and if you want a treat you must try the Rack 'n Pinyon brew. It was nutty and delicious! Can't decide what to eat? No problem - there's only one thing on the menu. BBQ sandwiches. They were big and juicy and served piping hot with a bag of chips for $12. The inside is filled with antique car memorabilia, and there's a large room where the vats are filled with old car stuff. There are games and a pool table, and everything is open and welcoming. Several kids were present and having fun playing checkers and such. There was only one staff member working on the most recent Saturday. She is a pediatric nurse and usually only works Sundays, but was called in. She was taking the orders, taking money, pouring beer, and running back and forth to the kitchen to cook and serve the sandwiches. A one-woman show and she was awesome. Tip your wait staff well, and make the drive out to Grants to try this place. You won't regret it!

The perfect stop on a long drive. You might miss Junkyard on 66 Brewery because it looks like, well, a brewery. But don't let the chain link fence, wall of wheels, and row of wrecks turn you off. The BBQ is really good (we had the pulled chicken sandwich) and the beers (mostly lagers) are unique and flavorful. In addition to their own brews, they pull a host of guest beers as well. The quirky atmosphere completes the package. Pull up a chair to a car hood that serves as a table. This auto shop turned community space is unlike any pub you'll be likely to visit. The host/barkeep/chef/server was welcomeing to us and our pup. If you are passing through Grants, NM, take the time to stop in for a pint.

Great stop for lunch on Route 66. Beers and BBQ were all yummy. Lots to look at, too, especially for car lovers! We had only planned on stopping for a bit, but Maria, our bartender, was so great to talk to and we ended up staying longer. Hubby loved looking at all the decor and the cars outside.

Stopped here in our RV for some barbecue and an overnight stay in their large parking lot (boon-docking). They were very accommodating. Food was excellent. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re traveling and need a place to pull over and spend the night and enjoy some great food.

I've been wanting to try this place for a year and a half. I finally took a ride on my bike with my girlfriend. I love this place. The decor is awesome. The staff is super friendly. Great drinks. We will definitely be back

While staying in the area during a cross country trip, I found Junkyard on 66 Brewery near my hotel. What a cool place! Atmosphere was just awesome, loved it. I had a couple of their beers and was not disappointed. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, it was VERY tasty, paired well with the beers. The lady working there was very nice and brought my food and beers quickly. If I travel through Grants again, I'm definitely stopping at the brewery.

This is a GEM! Friendly waitress/bar keep, very cool Historic 66 vibe, great bbq sandwiches. Get the junkyard, you won’t regret it. Their home brew lager was great as well. Will be stopping here every time we pass through Grants.

We knew about this place through Harvest Host so we stayed a night. Had a beer and dinner after our long drive. Very cool spot. We felt safe the night we spent here. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We ate here to kind of repay them for letting us park overnight with our motorhome. As the namesays it's on route66 and as such filled with references to that theme. Teo places to sit in bar and in bigger room with antique cars. Menu is short. We took the sandwich pulled pork with chips, which is teally that and not french fries

We really liked this place! The pulled pork sandwich was great! The place is unique, and the interior tables are made of tailgates from trucks. Very creative in designing the place. The owner was very friendly. Definitely would stay again and come to hangout.

Delicious food and great prices. Designed using more car parts than you could imagine! Unique beer flavors. My partner brought one over and asked me to taste it to see if I could guess the flavors. As I am not a beer drinker I thought I'll never get this right but my first guess was caramel chocolate, which was spot on (rack and pinion beer)! It's amazing, those aromas are so prominent without taking away the beer aspect. It wasn't sweet and I ended up finishing the glass. We arrived 1 hour before closing and they only had pulled pork left but it was delicious. RV/trailer parking overnight for guests too. We'll be stopping in again next time we travel though.

A place where they make you feel like a local! We were passing by in our RV and saw on Harvest Host they offered a place for us to stay in our RV and decided to stop. Veteran owned business, friendly and amazing food and drinks. We had the brisket and ribs and being from Tx I have to say they were amazing!! Our stay in the camper felt safe and quiet. There were two others who also stayed in the lot and we didn’t even know they were there till we went to head out. I can’t recommend this place enough. Maria was our friendly bartender. Got to chat with her and another local person at the bar while we ate and had some local beer.

I enjoy stopping by breweries in my travels, and this place did not disappoint. The brew and food were great, and Maria was a pleasure to talk to. I was able to watch the Packers win and able to park the RV for the night. Thank you all!

This was, by far, the best junkyard I ever stayed at… Wait a minute… It’s the only junkyard I’ve ever stayed at. I really enjoyed my time, the food was good and the beer was great but, even better than that was the bartender. She was very welcoming and was quick to respond to any needs we had at our table. I met up with two other people, and we sat together, enjoying our food, enjoying our conversation and most of all enjoying the surroundings of the junkyard.

What an amazing experience! This is an incredible place! We have tried Pulled pork on barbecue sandwich, and chips. We have drunk homemade Belgian beer and tea, it was good. The service is excellent, the lady is adorable! And the decor is exceptional, you can eat in a garage! Good music also. We loved it!

We stopped in Grants, NM on our way to Arizona, and it's a great example of a once great town along route 66. Lots of relics along this stretch of the road, and not much to see or do. This brewery, however, is a gem. The Route 66 Junkyard Brewery is super cool, with an owner who has a very creative eye for the decor. It's hard not to like it no matter who you are, but if you're a car person like me you'll think it's one of the coolest places you've ever had a beer! Add to all that the fact that the beers they brew on-site (and other local selections from elsewhere) are excellent. There's something for everyone, and it's all good stuff. I highly recommend the Rack & Pinon, brewed on-site. Three-year revisit update: still excellent, still welcoming, and Rack & Pinion is still one of the best beers I've tasted!

This place was excellent. Amazing beer and the pulled pork sandwhich was one of the best I’ve had. They smoke everything themselves and you can tell, if you are passing through and need a place to eat definitely stop here you won’t be disappointed,

Made a planned stop here for lunch on our way out west. It did not disappoint! BBQ was awesome. Hubby had the brisket and I had the pulled pork. Both had a great smoke flavor and the sauce had a little kick to it. Served on toasted buns. Portions were really big. Beer was also very good. Hubby had the Junkyard Lager and I had the Rack & Pinon. Lager was clean and refreshing, great with BBQ. R&P had notes of chocolate and caramel. Not heavy and also very good with the BBQ. Atmosphere is also great. Love that all of the tabletops are car hoods. Excellent stop for us!

So glad we found this little gem on Route 66! We were hot, tired and hungry and Crystal and the Junkyard took care of it all! We got there just as they were opening so thought we might have to wait a bit but we were greeted with a smile right away and offered food and brews! The beer was ice cold and the BBQ was amazing! I had the pulled pork and hubby had the brisket. Both had BBQ sauce on them which hubby doesn't normally care for but it's not a heavy sauce, not too sweet and definitely didn't hide the flavor of either of the meats. The sandwiches were piled high and served piping hot with nice soft buns. The decor is super fun with car hoods for the tables and plenty of junkyard to take in while enjoying the beer and food. The music was at a nice level and it was some great oldies we really enjoyed. I highly recommend Junkyard Brewery and we will definitely be back. Next time we'll spend the night through Harvest Hosts!

I looked this place up online before I came into Grants to work. I was stoked to come and see this place and it didn't disappoint! The only disappointment was that the locals aren't here every damn day enjoying the food and ultra crisp beer! The bbq was exquisite..I mean ultimate fire. I worked at Rudy's BBQ and they got nothing on this place! The beer was tasty (I was off the clock and had a ride to my hotel so no violations here 😂) and refreshing after a looooong day. The atmosphere is wicked cool. I love junkyards already because they bring back memories of my dad and Crystal (bartender/server/life saver) walked me through the whole place and showed me the super cool Lincoln limo with the wooden spokes and the the rest of the classics that adorn the property. I must repeat: that sandwich was so fire it ruined me for other places because I don't know how they can stand up to the Junkyard sandwich 🤤 I still think a pickle would have made it sky rocket but even alone it was amazing. I look forward to coming here again! If you live here and don't come here and support this place you are missing out on what local means! Support small business or we will all be doomed to lackluster chain restaurants! PLUS they let truckers park overnight which is a super luxury I hope fellow drivers take advantage of!!!!

You could drive right by this place… but don’t! Great little local brewery. Tasty beer, and AMAZING brisket sandwich! Michael was behind the bar and was awesome. Enjoyed talking with him and the rest of the patrons that day. A few others ordered lunch, as since we had recently eaten we declined… big mistake. Once those sandwiches came out, we knew we needed to try one!! Fantastic!! Highly recommend a stop here in your way through Grants!

Went in on Friday night because I was curious to try the Junkyard Sandwich. Plus, I'm a gear head 🤪 so I wanted to see the cars as well. Man, this place did not disappoint. The sandwich was fantastic! And eating it of the Tailgate table made it somehow taste better. A very chill, relaxed vibe. I no longer drink so no reports on the beer for you beer drinkers, but I can say the food, bartender and vibe were awesome! Thank you Isiah! I will be back

Great beer! Great BBQ! Great people! Great atmosphere! We tried the piston colada (pina colada beer) and the Junkyard Lager (similar to Yuengling amber lager) and the junkyard sandwich (pulled pork AND brisket). It was all great. The people were friendly. Such a cool place. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again!

We stayed as Harvest Host Guest with our RV. This place is a hidden gem for sure!! The BBQ is fantastic, the brews were tasty, the environment is wild!! So much to look at and see. Worth the 2 mile detour off 40 if your looking for a spot to stretch your legs. Don't let the "junk yard" fool you park and GO INSIDE.

We heard of this brewery on the Harvest Host site. We weren't expecting it to be an actual junkyard. It is one of the coolest bars I've ever been in. Everything including the tables and bar are made from car and truck parts. Lots to look at and explore. The bartender Maria was awesome and made sure our stay was great! They have great beers brewed on site. Every Friday they smoke ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. A great place to visit if you are looking for something a little different.
