Hands down to all there workers, customer service, and not to mention they pay really good!!! They have some kick ass customer service!!! IF YOUR GONNA SCRAP OLD METAL THIS IS THE PLACE THAT TAKES CARE OF THERE CUSTOMERS AND ACTUALLY CARE NOT TRYING TO STEAL FROM THERE CUSTOMERS!!!!
I usually save all year and take a truck load in to recycle just once every year.
So I have several different types of scrap. Just the basic. Cans, aluminum, copper, insulated wire and brass.
Being a customer, just as any customer, I feel I should be treated as good as any customer, and be given the time to get all credit and weights of my scrap.
I was totally ripped off the other day when I went. Rushed through like my stuff didn't matter. A person was working with me, he was doing good. But 2 other people happened to show up while I was getting my stuff out of my truck.. The owner came out angry at myself and the guy working with me and started taking everything off the scales, telling me to move my vehicle.
I was still trying to unload stuff. He made the guy loose track of everything he was keeping track of...ripping open bags of the copper spilling it and then saying it weighed 2 pounds less then it did because he had scattered it all over... he cheated me out of at least 40 lbs of insulated wire, most of the aluminum he was placing in another place off the scale. When I said something to him he said "well what was that? a tenth of a pound!" All caddy. Like I was ok for him to get it free. Long story short...you get ripped off BAD even if you try to watch. I wouldn't recommend anyone to ever go to this old geysers place. He just wants you to donate it to him. After the experience with him...I'll never try to recycle anything again. My scrapping days are done. I'll throw my stuff in the trash before I'll drive to Kirtland and give it to him again!
Wouldn't recommend at all or atleast now, great friendly staff but I've brought 600lb of rotors and got back $15, that 0.02cents a pound, sound like a really bad deal to me?
The prices they advertise on google for a ton of light iron is no where near what they pay. 1 cent a pound is a rip off 20 bucks a ton is not worth the work, time, or gas for anyone to do
