Galloping Hill was an incredible reception venue for our wedding. They were reasonably priced, very organized, and made the entire planning process easy from start to finish. The staff kept everything running smooth on the wedding day, from setup to coordinating with our vendors, and their attention to detail took a lot of stress off our shoulders. The food was outstanding and our guests kept complimenting it throughout the night. The ballroom looked beautiful, the service was excellent, and the entire team was professional, welcoming, and always quick to help. If you are looking for a venue that delivers great value, great food, and a seamless experience, Galloping Hill in Kenilworth is an amazing choice. Highly recommend.

Have never played here before course looked nice and then I went to check in for my round. When we got inside the person at the front desk told us that the back 9 was closed and we would play the learning center course as our front 9 which was only 2300 yards. I did not have a problem with this until I saw people playing on the back 9 which really infuriated me because I would’ve liked to play what I payed for. When I asked the front desk why this was the case they said they had three leagues booked for today so they came up with the excuse that the back nine was closed when it wasn’t. The greens are freshly aerated as well which golf now does not tell you and they were very bumpy. These two reasons I will not be returning here.

While Galloping Hill offers a stunning backdrop to any wedding and delicious food (our guests especially enjoyed the cocktail hour), the planning process of creating my vision of a personalized wedding with certain cultural aspects was a bit challenging. There were some limitations and requests I found absurd - like suggesting to bring in cocktail napkins, cake knife and server - items they actually had available. I did speak with the manager and he was able to alleviate some of my frustration. On the day off, guests missed out on the pre-ceremony refreshments because no one was there to inform them. That said, our bridal attendants (Ellis and Charlize) were amazing and the guests loved the view, food and signature cocktails. And they did upgrade our chairs to match our decor. All in all, it was still a positive experience.

My husband and I got married there on 8/9/25 and we had a wonderful wedding. Everything was amazing. The food was great, the room looked perfect, and the staff was super awesome. Especially the team we had with us all day. We had Ellis as our coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly and he certainly made sure there were no problems and that everything was on schedule. We also had two bridal attendants Kasey and Charlize. Without them I think I would have fallen apart with stress. They were absolutely amazing! Made sure everyone in the wedding party had anything they needed, kept the atmosphere light and fun while still doing their jobs. We loved having them there as our attendants

Galloping Hill Golf Course is the one of the best public courses I have ever played! So well kept and an amazing driving range. I always had a very pleasant experience at the course and I would highly recommend. Also, shout out to Pete, one of the best golf instructor I have ever had! If anyone is looking for lessons, I would strongly encourage you to work with Pete, he is amazing!

Had a wonderful time playing a twilight round Galloping Hill today! There are few (if any) courses that can come close to the quality and comprehensiveness of Galloping Hill, within a reasonable driving distance of Hoboken. Driving Range ✅ Practice Chipping and putting Areas ✅ 27 Holes (including the “practice 9”) ✅ Beautiful and challenging design ✅ Solid course conditions ✅ Reasonable fees ✅ Why I haven’t played here sooner is beyond me.

The course is beautiful - a lot of wide open fairways and scenic greenery which contradicts its surrounding area. However, for the price you pay, to not have a marshal or ranger on a weekend is absurd. You tee off at 4pm.. you should expect to finish. There was a group two times in front of us holding everyone up taking 15+ minutes per hole. We tried to call the pro shop multiple times but were never answered. We ended up playing just 9 ending almost 3 hours later.. we were given a coupon for free 9 holes which was nice but was very frustrating. The tee times need to be either separated more or have someone enforcing pace of play.

Friendly staff, great food, ample parking. Had our daughter’s bridal shower and it was just perfect, from the venue decor and available space, friendly and welcoming staff and the food is very tasty (Halibut on peach salsa, tortellini with Alfredo sauce …,

Stunning golf course, beautiful tree lined and hilly course that’s fun to play and very well maintained. The photos don’t do it justice, worth a visit !

I recently hosted my daughter's first birthday at Galloping Hill Golf Course, and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Kristina was an absolute dream to work with – she was incredibly organized, helpful and responsive to every question and request. She made the process so seamless and stress-free! The food was delicious and the service was incredible. The staff was attentive and made sure everything went off without a hitch. I had the best experience and highly recommend booking Galloping Hill GC for your next event!

Very nice course that is up and coming. Good service, very nice layout, good pace of play. Very good bar too and beers have gotten cheaper not more expensive!!! Driving range, putting greens, chipping area. Golfers just need to be thoughtful and repair ball marks on the greens to keep the course in good shape. Course was in great shape today.

September 13th, 2024 I got married at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth and could not be happier with out choice. Maria Novo was my main contact from start to finish and she truly had such a huge role in making our day so magical and special. I met Maria when she gave me my first tour of their venue. Her kindness, enthusiasm and knowledge was not only impressive but made me trust her immediately. She walked me through every step of the planning process and was always available to answer questions or to meet up if needed to go over things. The Golf Course was immaculate and the food was phenomenal but the staff is really what stood out the most. Maria, Kristina, Michelle, Ellis and so many more had huge impacts in making my wedding the one I have always dreamed of. All our guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was (inside and out), how delicious the food was but mostly... how impressive the staff was. My husband and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Galloping Hill Golf Course for any and all events, you will not be disappointed!

This was such a well staffed place. ELLIS WAS THE VERY DEFINITION OF GREAT SERVICE. The facility was beautiful, and the greens were so well kept that it looked like a surgeon cut the grass with a scalpel. The views were great, and the bathrooms spotless .

We absolutely adore Galloping Hill! Working with them has always been an absolute pleasure, and they are such an incredible venue! The attention to detail in the venue's design and landscaping truly sets them apart from the rest. From the staff to the stunning grounds, we are confident that any wedding held there will be amazing. Not to mention, their beautifully manicured grounds allow for so many photo opportunities and the photos always come out idyllic. As a wedding vendor, we cannot recommend them enough! If you are searching for a spectacular wedding venue that makes a statement, then Galloping Hill is the perfect choice for you.

The galloping hills course was accommodating, and picturesque. The 9 hole round to support an individual dealing with stage 3 cancer made the experience all the more engaging. If another opportunity to play arises I would not hesitate to gear up and take the ride. If you're reading this simple expression and have the time and or opportunity, take and make a memory.

Excellent course, a little wet that day. The hills add a to the great scenery, and add challenge. Lost a few more balls than normal. Nice bar and patio.

Attended a fundraiser/golf outing. The staff was very courteous. Patronized the bar and may have had my best drink ever. From the taste to the presentation, it was fabulous!

Had a great time this past Friday at a family members wedding reception. The staff treated us like royalty, the food was excellent. The guys even got a quick 9 holes in earlier in the day. Thank you again Galloping Hill...

Very nice golf course. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Gorgeous inside, nice bar and banquet hall. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great drinks and delicious food! Can't wait to go back!

I love this place because it’s nice and cheap for me and my friends because we are under 18 the staff are amazing and the range is basically top golf because their is 2 floors the course is also so Beautiful and relaxing to watch from the outside eating area highly recommend this place

It's so beautiful to watch the trees change colors on the hills we had beer pub cheese pretzels and wings the food was delicious the drinks were definitely great I will definitely come back again

We rented the entire restaurant for a 40th birthday party. The food was quite good, the staff friendly and responsive, and the event went off without a hitch, a very good evening.

As an event planner, I highly recommend GH. The space is flexible, beautiful, and clean. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The food is delicious and the presentations are appealing. Try the salmon. You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice county course with resort feel. I played here years ago before all the upgrades. They have done a tremendous job with new club house, electric carts, etc. The up and down slopes add to the scenery, plus on hole 10 you can drive it onto the Parkway with severe slice (not recommended of course). Had good experience with their staff as well. Some possible negatives are too many blind shots and several holes being too close together.

Beautiful golf course and clubhouse in NJ. The great thing is you dont need to pay dues or a yearly membership. Plently of carts and the property is huge. The clubhouse is also magnificently decorated and the food is quality.
