I had the pleasure of dealing with Bassani Power Equipment (shoutout to Lisa) when my new Cub Cadet snow blower that I purchased at HD didn't work. I purchased it May 25', unboxed it, filled it with gas and stored it in the garage til Dec when we were due to get our 1st snowstorm. When I tried to move it, it would't move. I reached out to HD, but they told me that it was over the 30 day return window and that I needed to get in touch with CC - as it was under warranty. I went to the CC website and the nearest warranty service center was Bassani in NJ-just under an hour away. I am old and do not own a truck so even though Bassani was not close, I called them anyway knowing full well that I would need pick up and delivery and it would probably cost me for it. Lisa got me in right away and after just under 2 weeks, she let me know that it was fixed, but that the issue wasn't covered under warranty, as it was considered a "wear and tear" issue. She said it was a loose drive belt. She told me that I had to reach out to CC and explain the situation and see if they would cover it and the pick up and delivery. I did that and CC said NO. Defeated, I called Lisa and said that I was told no and that I will just pay for the service and be done with it. Lisa called them and they said that they would cover it. She's good. They were a flat out no for me. I'm so glad that I reached out to Bassani and dealt with Lisa. She is a good and caring person. I did learn a lesson too. I will never buy any power equipment like a snowblower or mower from a big box store again. And honestly the only reason I even bought it from them was that since it was $1,300.00 it went onto my HD credit card and they offered free delivery. There is literally nothing like shopping from small neighborhood shops. They stand by their products, whereas the big box stores don't. Thanks again Lisa!!!

Stopped by one day thinking I was looking for a tractor and had a certain budget in mind. Spoke with the owner and he was able to work with me on a Zero turn for the same budget, but a better machine. Worth a visit if considering buying a mower!

Bassani Power Equipment is one of the most honest and upright companies I've seen in a while. Even though there were issues with my warranty on my lawnmower, they honored me as the customer caught in the middle of an issue and fixed my mower. They made wise recommendations, and took my number as I'm considering purchasing a mower from them, because i know I'll have great service.

I brought my Toro Personal Pace mower in during the last week of August to replace a bearing and/or drive belt for the blade disengagement. I was told it would be a four week wait due to a backlog. At week six I was told there were two small jobs ahead of mine and it would be done at the end of the week. At week eight I enquired (again) and was told they had broken a cable during the repair and had to order another one. At nine weeks (November 1st) I finally got the mower back. I used it today to pick up leaves. The blade clutch does not engage as it used to and the cable is very tight, and the self propel hardly works (it worked fine previously). On top of that I found a hose clamp was used to hold one of the cables in place on the handle. I have used Bassani for repairs previously and bought my snow blower here a few years ago and was always satisfied. Today I am very disappointed at what I've found!!!
**** UPDATE: Lisa from Bassani saw my review and called me immediately. She apologized for the lengthy delay in getting the repair completed and said they want to correct things to my satisfaction. She arranged to have the mower picked up on Friday and reworked on Saturday. She called this morning and said they called Toro tech support to to find out why the blade delayed in engaging (unlike it did previously). It turned out that a plate above the blade had been reversed during assembly, which is an alternate mode that provides the delayed engagement. She had also explained that the cable had broken during the original repair and the replacement was an update which was stronger and had a heavier spring. She said it would relax with use. The mower has been corrected, and checked by the service manager and the owner. Lisa said the mower will be delivered back to me on Monday.. My faith has been restored! Thanks to everyone at Bassani. I will continue to be a faithful customer!
What a generous owner Don Bassani is. He took time out of a very busy Friday to repair a couple of axles for a generator for me, and didn't ask for anything more than the cost of the replacement parts. Made my day, and now my generator is ready for the next power outage. Good to know there are still honest businessmen out there. Thanks Don!

Can't say enough good things about these folks. Bought a used commercial mower from them years back and this year a Cub Cadet 30Max snowblower. Turned out there was some factory assembly issues with the snowblower and I needed to bring it back after less than an hour of use. Very annoyed on the quality control at Cub Cadet despite a solid reputation.
I'm still happy with the product choice.
Nonetheless, Lisa and the team took care of the issue immediately.
You won't find this type of neighborhood service from a big box store so good for them making a difference at a fair price. Shop these folks when you need lawn and outdoor maintenance products. I know I will again. -Les
The crew at bassani's are awesome. In this blizzard I had a snoway plow module burn out and left the plow dead. I called every snoway dealer in 50 miles and nobody had the parts except bassani and they were open first thing with the best price on very expensive parts. Got plow up amd running quickly and back to work. Cant say thank them enough for being available amd stocking parts. Two thumbs up all day long

I have purchased in the past a snow blower, a log splitter , a trailer ,a leaf vacuum, also brought a good friend of mine ,that lives in Islin new jersey to purchase a snow blower . The staff are very nice , and helpful ,they have few good brands, I don't bother to go anywhere else if I need an power equipment. Don is a wonderful person . So happy that I live very close to the store .I highly recommend it to all .

Cub Cadet finance kiosk in-store made the transaction quick and easy. Staff was very nice and willing to answer any questions. Great Experience!! I went in to Bassani Power to look at a scag residential zero turn but Don asked me to try a cub cadet steering wheel zero turn before deciding on another machine. I was sceptical but was quickly impressed and appreciative of the recommendation, that machine handled slopes better than any other zero turn I've used, including the $12k professional mowers. Financing and pick-up were surprisingly easy. All around great experience from an obviously well seasoned crew.
Bassani is a great power equipment store with a great atmospher. Don is a really great guy and is honest and passionate out the equipment he sells and builds relationships as opposed to just pushing equipment out the door. The entire staff is friendly and very knowledgeable and always willing to help. I drive past other stores and a distance to do all my business at Bassani. I highly recommend the store and if you haven't visited yet your missing out!
Don is a class act goes above and beyond to make sure you are completely satisfied with any purchase you make at his store. Not pushy at all lets you sleep on it, teaches you about any item you are interested in and can't say enough good things about his work ethic and attitude. He is truly a 100% customer satisfaction hands on owner. His staff is incredible as well. Have never had a negative experience at his store. Took me a few days to make a decision on a tractor - actually a few weeks and not once did I feel any pressure from him or his staff. This company cares more about a happy customer than just the bottom line.
Where the pros buy parts. Bassani has done repairs for me right, the first time, thouroughly, and at a fair price, with my questions answered honestly. No smooth BS sales talk, no flashing lights, no phony smiles, you get it straight out, just the facts. They WILL take the time to explain repairs, which I value above everything.
This is a Stihl/Honda dealer, the two absolute best names in power equipment; I won't buy anything less. They do service and sell other brands. I have purchased these items at other dealers, but Bassani has won me over for all new equipment purchases with their honest, forthright style, and fair pricing.
