What clients say about Atlantic Towing and Recovery in Paterson (NJ)

These people are price gougers, they are unconscionable, unethical and charge excessively for towing. On top of that they are bullies with very stink attitudes especially when your property gets towed by them. They towed my truck after gaining entry who knows how and starting my truck to have it unhooked then hooked separately (tractor to tow truck and trailer to another truck with a whole different company name DAMIT LLC). Both towed simultaneously literally 20 minutes away and stored 3 minutes at best apart. They charged me 3.5 hrs for tractor and 2.5 for trailer at $500/hr + $8.28 each for tax and $125 each for storage ($3,266.56). My dashcam turned on the moment they turned electrical switch on at 0144 and showed when the drove my truck into the parking spot at the yard at 0217 to end that. When I inquired "Elmo" who had a stink attitude shouting and talking over me said they had to pick my locks and ignition and they had to go back and forth to tow truck then trailer. Again, my camera showed that both were towed at the same time using two separate trucks. He also stated that they had to leave their homes away from their families and I had to pay for all that as a pacjage. I could understand charging 1 hour plus storage but to say the time it took to do everything was 3.5 hours is overkill when clearly they had some kind of master key. This is a predatory and price gouging company and I wish karma finds their address asap !!!!!! I will make multiple reports against this company and seek legal counsel because I believe I was charged $2000 more than they should. On top of it all, the other truck they used to transport my trailer "DAMIT LLC DOT 3372541 MC 1081419", was not listed as a tow truck or owned by a tow company yet it was used to impound my trailer. I will report this to the FMCSA, Carrier 411, DOT and any other oversight body for commercial trucks to have them reprimanded. I have downloaded videos from my ELD with time stamps to show all that I've listed here. This is nothing but hustling for them !!!!!!! Photos below shows my trailer being towed separately.

If I could give this towing company a 0 rating I would. they are not carefully towing these cars. I unfortunately got towed out of a spot where I wasn't supposed to be which I take full responsibility for. My horn was burned out do to the alarm going off all the way to their lot. And a few days after I took the car home I noticed a oil spot on my driveway I got worried that it was something very bad. When I took it to Honda they told me that the tow company must of punctured a small hole in my oil filter. Thank God Honda didn't charge me.

I was an employee here. I left to go to basic training, and when I came back my tool box was empty . Thats right, all of my tools were gone! Ofcourse nobody knew how, but im sure the managers drug problem had alot to do with it . Why did I leave my tools there ? Well , I planned on returning to work after basic and was told my tools were safe. Live and learn! #karma
