Hey I just had a question, do you guys know who I can reach out to at Montauk Energy Capital that’s next to you guys. I have a question to ask them but I can’t get ahold of them. First time there last year. The operator at the weigh station directed me where to go. When I got to the area, I was guided into the spot to unload, and the person guiding me also used proper communication with the driver of the huge earth mover to ensure there were no accidents. Very professional, very friendly.
To those who say that it smells...... It's because WE, as consumers, are dropping off waste products. If you want it to smell like roses, bring some fresh roses with you next time, fool.
Friendly staff, very accommodating if you're new. Make sure you've got your license, registration, and cash. This place pulls through when you've got to get rid of junk, scrap wood, etc. Excellent public service.
The recycling center was absolutely fantastic. My first time there and the employees treated me like gold ! Polite , courteous and took their time with me since it was my first time! They do VERY important work and I for one really appreciate them. No one should ever leave any waste on the side of the road ever. I disposed of 8-10 old wooden windows for $6 👍
UPDATED ON JUNE 21, 2021: I've changed my review, now that I've realized how limited are the days that this site is open for regular business hours. When I did receive the answer I was looking for, and drove over to drop off some dangerous chemicals, etc., the staff was very polite, helpful and courteous and went out of their way to help me with a drop-off and answer my questions. No one EVER answers the phone.
Good place. Good help. Nice people. Easy to unload area. Brooms available to sweep out the truck when done. Every employee is nice so far. They keep it clean too
The staff willingly answered my phone questions & were quite friendly. The setup is convenient - I drove in, showed my credentials, they weighed my vehicle; I backed up & pulled out & tossed my trash. We pulled up, weighed our car a 2nd time, paid a very modest fee (cash) & pulled away. It was a snap.
