Yes, the owner has a specific method for selling the items - take a photo and don’t touch. This is also why it is THE MOST ORGANIZED AND ENJOYABLE shopping experience you will ever have at an antique or architectural salvage store. Front doors lined up with dimensions on the side? YES. Themed rooms of wares like vintage mirrors? YES. Love this place and it is worth the process. Bought multiple pieces for our home reno here. It won’t be the lowest prices but everything is in good condition and you can negotiate if you’re getting a few things.

This place is a antique hoarders paradise. Three floors of absolutely everything you can imagine.

The team here does such a great job keeping things organized. Make sure you give yourself enough time to see all the treasures. One of my favorite things to do. So much of our 1914 home was salvaged and put back original from Carolyn and Brett’s amazing finds.

This might have been the oddest shopping experience of my life. There are a lot of treasures in here, definitely something for everyone. However, like many others have said, the experience is sketchy and inconvenient. You have to take pictures of what you like. Many things are piled on top of each other, so I felt nervous, even touching them. At the end, you bring the woman at the front desk, who is a very unfriendly, a list of your photos. She writes them down and then looks on the internet to see about pricing. This process took about 15 to 20 minutes, while we stood there awkwardly waiting for her to come back. Then she comes back, tells you to take a picture of the pricing and contact her with any questions. She told me to Venmo her if I’d like anything and walked away. It was just very odd, very unwelcoming and very very inconvenient. I wish I would’ve looked at reviews before I wasted my time here. There were definitely some items that I would’ve loved, but ended up walking out empty-handed mostly due to the process and the insane prices for some items that weren’t even close to being in great condition.

This warehouse of a store was amazing. I was look for a duplicate slide lock for my vintage French doors in my Victorian house. And couldn't find anywhere. Even online. Found Salvage through word of mouth and couldn't have been happier. Will definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!

We're doing a home renovation and were unhappy with options at the big box stores. Salvage Angel has an extensive assortment of inventory to give a home some personality. As others have noted, you do have to ask for prices and things aren't Goodwill cheap, but you're also not wading through a bunch of garbage in hopes of finding a diamond in the rough. I was happy with my experience there, appreciated the professionalism of the owners, and will be returning in the future.

What a beautiful collection of unique antiques and vintage. My one star goes for the outrageous retail prices that these items are priced at and the attitude of the person who gives you those prices. It blows my mind how they wouldn't want the public to be able to afford practically anything that's here!! It shouldn't be open to the public if the prices reflect those who are more "well to do" that hire interior decorators to purchase items on their behalf with no budget! I really wish the owner would reconsider their pricing for the rest of the community. Or if you don't want to sell just re-brand the store as a museum!

This is 1000% not “salvage.” This is wildly overpriced items overseen by an extremely snooty woman who takes a list of the items you want to buy and then runs off to the back to google how much the items are worth so she knows what to charge you. And she can’t even muster an ounce of kindness to anyone in her vicinity, including other employees. Weird, weird energy and just so vastly overpriced.

Such a Gem. This place is gigantic. It has all things architectural salvage. They even have houseware. If you're looking for a unique piece of furniture, window, lighting fixture, even doors. You must check this place out.

What a cool find this place was! You could spend hours wandering around looking at their treasures!! The couple who owns the place were really nice!!

Great place to find anything you need to bring your home or the world you live in or your place of business back to the time when there was quality craftsmanship. Salvage - Vintage- Eclectic . The Owners are great as well as the crew always ready to assist with your needs - it's a go-to place for sure !

Have been back a few times. Organized enough to know the section to look if you have something in mind, and diverse/eclectic enough you can go days in a row and always catch something new. The type of place you're excited to go wandering and searching for cool stuff, but don't be afraid to ask the staff if you're looking for something specific. It's crazy how well they know the place and they're a blast to chat with.

From as soon as you enter the property, there’s stuff. What you would expect from salvage. Some cool stuff. Go inside, more stuff. Some freaking expensive stuff. Even broken stuff. Expensive. Even random stuff NO ONE WOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH BECAUSE ITS RANDOM BROKEN PARTS. EXPENSIVE. You want to chat with the owners? No, you plebe. Sorry. Too busy, too cool selling broken doorframes to the next Asbury TappasPizzaTandooriPizzaJoint. You want prices? HA! Hope you brought your phone and are prepared to PHOTOGRAPH EACH ITEM YOU THINK YOU WANT. If the owners aren’t too busy acting busy, they’ll look over your photos and quote you prices that will make you Blanche. Do everyone a favor, if you want salvage or uniques or antiques… go support another small business.

Wow, this store is packed with inventory, the majority of which is stacked precariously in unnavigable aisles. Imagine a hoarder with a warehouse... The majority of their items are not labeled with prices. This would make you feel like perhaps you were at a flea market where deals abound and prices are low and negotiable. You’d be wrong. Upon finding an item, you bring it or show it to the store owner who will research the price. The woman in charge was rude and had a nasty aura and her poor attitude was very off-putting. I had spoken to her the day prior about the item I was after and she gave me a price rate for the items of 350-650 dollars for a complete unit. Upon arrival, her lowest end item was 500 and the high end items were over 1000!! Classic bait and switch. A sign in the warehouse stating “make it easy for the customer to spend his money” is clearly a remnant from the previous business that occupied this space. I had two pages of legal pad worth of items to purchase today and I intended to possibly spend several thousand dollars. Unfortunately, the buying experience was so painful, I left empty handed and shall not return. Visit Second Chance Inc. in Baltimore instead, it’s worth the drive.

I refuse to do business here for the following reasons 1.) Items are not priced. Consumers have to wait for the owner or an employee to make that determination "when you are finished shopping". God forbid you are wanting to inquire about multiple items or wish to continue shopping after receiving a price and make a second inquiry. 2.) I understand that this business is located in a sketchy part of town (huge understatement) and no doubt theft is an issue, but, judge your audience or relocate to a better part of town. I do not need to be followed around unless the person trailing me is knowledgeable and has the autonomy to provide the asking price of an item I am potentially interested in purchasing. 3.) Owner is condescending, ill-informed, and frankly rude. Do yourself a favor and either shop for salvage items on-line or purchase from a company that can at least pretend to appreciate your business.

Beautiful items here, but extremely over priced. Items are very dirty, covered in dust, smell, & require some serious TLC. (Which is why prices should be lowered).. when you try to bargain, you’re met with an attitude from what appears to be the woman in charge. As a thrifter, and refurbisher, this place would be a gold mine- but very unreasonable.

In my 25 years of antiquing I have NEVER seen a place like this. First of all, it is MASSIVE. You could spend hours exploring all the sections. The second thing that sets Salvage Angels apart from other shops is that it is organized by type of item. For example, there is a room for artwork, a section of rattan furniture, a section for signs, a section for lighting, etc. so you if you are looking for something specific, you can find it very easily. When I went, I purchased a beautiful mid century lamp and a gorgeous crystal ice bucket with an etched polar bear. Pricing is very fair. Definitely worth a visit!

Carolyn is super accommodating with every visit. I’ve purchased several beautiful items including a one of a kind antique solid wood chest and barn wood for a table project. If you haven’t been here it’s truly a unique place not to be missed.

This place was amazing! It is a organized labyrinth of incredible findings you didn't know you need but absolutely must have. From sinks, to doorknobs, tubs to vintage phones; there's even a conveyer belt and a ice cream hand cart. Plus, any place with a big, ol' friendly dog is A-okay in my book.

Very well laid out for a salvage yard. You really need half a day to truly appreciate this place. It’s full of all kinds of salvaged items but very well organized and laid out. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for unique pieces for your home or business. Friendly staff and cute doggy too.

Pretty intense object hunting! Huge place with something for every taste. No such thing as a quick trip here!

As someone who works in the interior design industry, this place was a gold mine. Found exactly what I was looking for for the cost of shipping from one of these online companies. This place is quite a gem!

The two men were super nice and helpful. The lady behind the desk was rude. Some pretty cool stuff, unfortunately extremely over priced. We won't be going back.

Neat place where you can always find a treasure! It’s open sporadically so check the hours before you go.

This place is amazing! They go pick up doors, windows, furnishings, etc. from buildings that are getting torn down or renovated. Need a door? We got 6 there. Four had beautiful carvings in the wood, one had colored stain glass, and one had three large several-layered 8-point wooden stars on each side. They have wrought iron furnishings from our great grandparents' day, decorated wood and mirrored medicine cabinets, old bannisters, church pews, lamps, pots, etc. Nice staff. Inventory changes regularly. Bring towels or blankets to protect the stuff in your car.

Cool resource for all older or antique home renovation items. Each visit has something unique from previous stops as they are getting different items routinely.

Carolyn and Brett always have the thing you need. Great ever changing selection of salvaged stuff from great doors and cabinets to vintage things to put in them. ?????

What an amazing place. If you own an older home in the Asbury Park area and are looking for building materials to match your existing construction, this place is for you. Or if you’re just looking for cool furniture items and/or antiques you can’t go wrong.

I LOVE my French doors. I'm so grateful that Salvage Angel saves the history and character of the Jersey Shore from the landfill and stores it safely till it finds its new home.
