I had my car at Kingwood Foreign Auto Services for about two days, and the experience genuinely stood out in the best way.
I’ll be honest: at first glance, the crew might look a little intimidating to some folks, lots of tattoos, very “shop” energy. They actually joked with me that some older clients worry they might be gruff or unapproachable. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Every single person I interacted with was patient, thoughtful, and genuinely kind.
Joe took the time to listen carefully to what I was experiencing with the car and never once brushed off my concerns. Jimmy walked me through the diagnostic process in plain language, which was reassuring and showed he actually wanted me to understand what was going on. Keith was meticulous in inspecting the issue and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. Brian was great at explaining options and professional solutions without pressure, and Mike helped keep the whole process smooth and organized from start to finish.
What really impressed me was that they trust the customer knows their own vehicle. They listen first, validate what you’re noticing, and then back it up with a thorough inspection and solid diagnosis. No rushing, no dismissiveness, just experienced mechanics doing careful, honest work.

Outstanding!!! Amazing!!! Andy and is team saved me over $5000 repairing my suspension on my 2017 Mercedes GLS 450 from what the dealer had quoted. The best part, it was done in a day and the work was perfect. Absolutely worth the drive!!

This is the kind of auto shop you build a long-term, trusted relationship with. They’re friendly, highly skilled, and always available when something comes up. Their work is top-notch, their prices are reasonable, and they’ve treated every member of my family with respect and care. That means a lot — especially when it comes to my two daughters, who are both young women and need a mechanic they can rely on. It’s a huge relief knowing they’re in good hands here. DO NOT bring your car here. I brought my mustang for an alignment. The guy servicing my car popped the fuel rail basically creating a non existent issue. Lucky for me but unlucky for him, I built that car and there isn’t a bolt I haven’t touched from the engine to the diff. He was trying to scam me. Now, this was sometime ago and the guy may not even work there anymore. But I will never bring my race car to your shop.
Edit: Thank you for the kind reply, I do have a copy of the alignment paperwork. It is not an issue of money, just a personal issue I have with some people being dishonest. Mistakes happen but that wasn’t the case with me. I ll send the info over. Highlights: I go pick up the car which was parked outside of the shop. I go to turn the key and fuel poured everywhere. I look under the hood and the fuel rail on the driver side was off the injectors. I popped it back in and secured it with the nut. Lots more details in between all of this but this was the experience. I spent 2 hours on your lot drying up the fuel enough so I can go home without catching the motor on fire. Your guy disappeared and never bothered to help or check up on me.

The guy never took my name but the paperwork had my car model. It’s a 2000 Saleen Mustang color is white. I am fairly certain I am the only one in town. I realize that there are consequences for negative reviews and believe me, I did not enjoy writing this one. But I am happy to hear that some staff changes were made. It came for an alignment only, no under the hood work. I take care of that myself. Now I do alignments too, so something positive came of this anyway. But look up Saleen in your database. I think that’s how he entered it. Thank you for the honest reply. Maybe I ll stop by one of these days and shake your hand. I have been ripped off over the years and I despise with a passion when good honest people get taken advantage of. But I am glad to hear I was the exception.
We have our vehicles serviced here and go nowhere else. After squeezing me in last minute recently, they also offered a loaner car - always willing to accommodate. They've sponsored the Del Val cheer team for at least 3 straight years, where many businesses are a hard 'no', making them an asset to the community. I can't say enough good things. Conveniently located on Rt. 12.
Andy and his team are the best! I feel confidant taking my kids out on the road in all of our vehicles thanks to Andy's fantastic work... 100% recommend !
I’ve been wrenching my whole life and as much as I enjoy servicing my own vehicles, I don’t have the time. The dealership quoted an astronomical number for my wife’s VW Haldex and Brake Fluid service interval. Since you need the car level for the Haldex, I decided to search out a mechanic specializing in German vehicles. I came across Andy and his team via a Reddit forum. These guys really know their stuff and I couldn’t be happier. Also, how many mechanics call you and say “it’s going to be cheaper than what I quoted you?” Andy does! My wife’s VW switched from a filter based Haldex to a sealed unit mid production year. We both assumed a full filter kit was needed which is more labor intensive and costly from a parts perspective. Andy called me once it was up on the lift to let me know if was sealed and as such, much cheaper to do. He could have charged me the original figure if he wanted (would I have caught it later? Maybe…) and made some extra money one time but instead, he was honest and upfront and now has a customer for life. I look forward to bringing my vehicles here in the future.
After a horrible experience at the local Toyota dealer, I took my tundra to Andy where I was well taken care of. Pricing was honest and upfront. The staff are top notch and knowledgeable. Glad to find an honest mechanic again.

I have been taking my cars to Andy and Kingwood Foreign Auto for over a decade now. It started with my Volvos and continues with my American and Asian made vehicles. Kingwood does excellent work at extremely reasonable prices. If I ever had an issue with something still not working (think Volvo!) Kingwood would take it back and make it right.
My family and I have been going here for years. I'll drive an hour just to get my car checked by Andy because I don't trust anyone else with my car. Reasonable prices, great service, and dedication to their customer base. I recommend this business to anyone who needs a reliable, reasonable, and trustworthy mechanic. Very happy that I was referred to this location to service my BMWs and Mercedes vehicles. I recently visited Kingwood Foreign Auto Services to replace brake rotors, pads and an oil change for one of my BMW’s. The price was reasonable and the service was fantastic. All done in one day. Andy even alerted me about a few other issues that the vehicle had (recalls and warranty) that I should’ve have been notified by BMW but was not. This location has earned my business and glad to have such a terrific and knowledgeable mechanic locally. I highly recommend them.
Took 1 month to repair my Volvo.
Had to call each week to receive excuses on the length of time the repair was taking. Never apologized for the delays or lack of communication!
Final invoice was very high and I was informed that not all the work originally requested was completed.
And now, 1 week after getting the car back.
The check engine light is back on.
AVOID them.

Friendly service but after getting new air compressor I had a belt noise problem. Returned twice with issue and a new belt was installed. Problem remained and was discovered at new mechanic that the belt was the wrong size. He replaced, no more noise.
Very impressed! I have been to Kingwood Foreign Auto before for a checkup on a car I was about to purchase and found them to be very helpful, fast and efficient when assessing the car.
More recently, I was having issues with my VW Jetta overheating on hills and while stuck in traffic. I flushed the coolant and was going to change the thermostat; but, on my car it’s extremely difficult to access where the thermostat is located. I called a closer mechanic to see how much it would be to replace the thermostat and got a rude response. So then I called Kingwood Fareign Auto, the person who answered the phone, Andy, was very knowledgeable, he explained that it would indeed be difficult to reach and that it would take a good deal of time to do the job-more time means more expensive-he then explained to me that I should be ok without changing the thermostat unless I had issues after flushing and replacing the coolant.
Several days later, I was able to flush the coolant and add new coolant, I’ve driven the car around on the roads it typically would overheat on—nothing! It’s fixed, that did the trick!
I’m so impressed with their service, they didn’t gain any money by telling me to wait it out and see if the flush would fix it-but, they gained a loyal customer because anyone willing to go out of their way to save me time and money deserves my and everyone’s business!
Please, don’t hesitate to take your car here, they are very kind and knowledgeable, they will treat you right!
