If I give this lousy company a one star, I'm giving them gifts of praise. The garbage trucks not only has missed deliveries day in the past this time they destroyed my garbage. I called in twice to have ait replaced?Nobody knows what they're doing. They STATED oh, it was supposed to be delivered.Nothing was delivered... I would rather give a zero star rating or a negative zero.If that is the case to this company. You have to be out of your mind to give them a star.. Anybody considering this company move on to the next, Terrible WASTE DISPOSAL COMPANY AT A LOWER PRICE.

Would give a zero if I could. The trash service itself was bad when I had it, but the customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I’m now going on month four—after countless calls—still waiting for a reimbursement tied to a closed account that I continued to be charged for after it was no longer active. There is zero accountability: transfer after transfer, only to be hung up on. Despicable way to handle a business. Stay away from their services—pay more for another company; it’s worth it

If I was able to give 0 stars I would. My husband I have been trying for over a year to get this company to work with us. We’ve updated our banking information, yet they refuse to charge… they then add on fee, after fee, after fee. We call and they are like oh we still have this old account, well why we’ve changed it? Then they get snappy with us trying to blame us for something they did wrong. Like we’ve updated everything we can on our end and yet, your company refuses to use that information, and says “sorry” as though you’re not picking up the trash and continuing adding fees

Two weeks of no garbage pickup for our entire street. We’ve called Republic every day since our scheduled pickup was supposed to happen and are told that this is “escalated” and your trash will be picked up the next day, but nothing happens. Pickup delays seem to happen multiple times per year during non-holiday weeks and it’s just to the point where this is ridiculous. Like if you don’t care, don’t give me false hope that you’re actually going to pick up our trash, which we pay you to do. If you live in an area where you have trash collection choices, they’d be my last choice.

I am the Office Assistant with NJACP located in Ewing NJ. Our service Representative Jessica Spedaliere has a phenomenal customer service manner. She has always been polite and resolved issues instantly when they occur. I recommend using Republic Services for your business or for any personal usage.

Republic is HORRIBLE!! They completely take advantage of people - do not use them! They charged us $371 for 4 extra bags of recycling around Christmas. They just decided on a whim to charge us per yard instead of per bag. Who actually thinks that's okay to do to someone? Sickening. I'm so disgusted.

Off to an absolutely brutal start with Republic (it's a shame I have to give a minimum of 1 star): Called in January to setup services for a new home. Was scheduled to have bins dropped off on 2/1 and service begin on 2/7. It's now 2/13 and the bins are still yet to be dropped off which means we've already missed one pick-up on 2/7. I've called 3 times to inquire about the bins. 1st two times I was told they were "running behind" and assured the bins would be dropped off next day. They weren't. Called again yesterday (2/12) and was told this would be escalated to a supervisor on the phone support end and sent over to a supervisor on the dispatch end and that they would try to have can out by the end of the day (again, on 2/12) and that I would receive a call back that same day either way. The cans were never dropped off, nor did I ever receive a call. It's now 2/13 and we have ~5/6" of snow outside so I highly doubt anyone is coming around with bins to drop off today which likely means we will miss our 2nd straight garbage pick-up on 2/14 as well as our 1st recycling pick-up on 2/15. We've been in our new home for 2 weeks now and have been piling up garbage and recycling in our garage ever since. As a consequence, we are unable to park our cars in the garage so now we have two cars to clean off on top of all this -- just a little salt in the wound. Thanks, Republic! Needless to say, if Republic doesn't make it right, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. Honestly, I blame myself as I was warned by multiple people about how terrible Republic is...

Up until last week I would have given them a 4. I used Republic when I live in Scotch Plains with no problems. When I moved to Readington, I kept them. Last week, Republic took away my trash and recycling cans by mistake. I understand that mistakes happen, but not only are they not correcting the mistake right away, they have continually lied to me on the phone telling me that the cans well be delivered back to me (insert whatever day it is). Even though I have spoken with three/four different people who assure me that my cans will be returned right away, evidently it's up to some guy in dispatch, who has the power to veto the correction. I have four pets - lots of cans piling up - I pay my bill on time - I will forever link Republic Services - the liar company. I have paid in advance for three months and can only imagine what it would take to get my money back to switch right away. I guess I have time to do some research - can't wait to get the bill for them to pick up my cans when I cancel my service. Who do these people think they are?!

I received a call from someone calling me about a payment however the phone got disconnected and they called me back accusing me of hanging up. I would have happily paid the bill over the phone, but how extremely rude and unnecessarily accusatory of them. I'm a paying customer. Do better. No wonder the reviews are so low. Literal trash customer service.

I don't understand what this company is doing. We were with them for 2 months before we couldn't take it anymore. They missed 2 recycling picks up out of 3. Multiple calls, still no pick up. Terrible system for reporting. I was told my last missed pick up was not recorded. She kept me on the phone for an hour until she saw it recorded somewhere it wasn't supposed to be. We are extremely dissatisfied with this company. I feel bad for the customer service people because obviously their whole system is a mess. The drivers don't know where they are supposed to go, their salesforce system is a mess, and they have to deal with disgruntled calls, like mine. I canceled and was told that if they didn't pick up, they would come and get the cans in 11 days! My recycling has already been out there for almost a week, and they think its ok to have customers keep their recycling out for over 2 weeks. This company is the worst. Do not use. them.

I HIGHLY suggest that you stay away from this company. I unfortunately had my local contract for commercial weekly pick up services of a dumpster transferred to Raritan Valley Disposal / Republic Services when they bought out my RELIABLE provider whom I used for over 7 years without an issue. Over the past 12 months we have had nothing but excuses for the complete lack of maintaining a consistent schedule at a busy commercial location. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone that can actually do anything to solve the problem. We have had to call them daily for over 2 weeks in regards to our lack of pickups. All we ever get is "we will send a message", can't get anyone in "operations" on the phone, nor do they ever actually make attempts to reach out to solve problems. STAY AWAY. I can say this is the first review I have ever left in my life, I operate a customer focused value based service business and the way this company treats their customer is HORRIBLE. If you want to PAY for service, and receive ZERO service, and then be threatened to remember you have a contract you will be very happy with this company! If someone at this horribly managed business wants to talk about this further, look up my name, and the associated commercial account, Call Me, Leave a Message, and "Someone will reach back out to you" (maybe), but probably not . . .

Price: I was at $112 per quarter. Called to cancel so they have me a price around $80. Got my bill and they actually raised me to $118 per quarter. And they only do recycling every other week. we now pay less with more recycling pick ups. Don't discount someone and actually raise their rate! In what world does that work?!

What terrible service. Or should I say NO service. Highly irregular. Do not care about missed pickups even when missed pickup issue ticket is created. Customer service couldn't care less about your failed pickups. I was told issue ticket was created and someone will reach out to you within 24 hours with a resolution. Its been only 3 months now.

2/15 Update: John made it right, thanks for reaching out sir. I'm glad to have a local contact versus reaching out to a customer service call center 3 states away, who don't have a grasp on local logistics. This place is an utter joke! Sure we've gotten some snow this year, why put out a message saying 1 day pickup delay when you never come out. I've called 4 days in a row and each time I'm promised they'll be right out. Now I'm just going to drive the 96 gallon can over to the nearby location and dump it in their driveway. Didn't realize I had to deliver my trash to you. I can't wait until I receive my quarterly bill, I'm going to need a serious adjustment and I'll be switching over to LMR for sure!

We have had issues with this company ever since we moved here 2 years ago. Several missed pickups. Recently they changed their service days due to the Labor Day holiday, and our recycle was supposed to be picked up on Sat 9/12/20. My can still sits out at my curb for today's scheduled pickup. Customer service is even worse. They don't ever even apologize. The Republic app is worthless when reporting anything. All you ever get is a confirmation that it was received, with no follow up ever!! I would change services, but other available companies are just as poor from the reviews I have read.

I have nothing but troubles with this company. It never used to be like this when it was a local company. Now they miss pickups all the time. I call, they put in a "ticket", promise to pick up my trash, don't come. I call again, same cycle. I am so sick of it, but I can't do anything about it because they are contracted by my town. I make complaints to the town, but still same old "trash!"

Absolutely THE WORST. Terrible Customer Service and Business Model. I'm so thankful that they screwed up and didn't pick up for weeks. Yes, I called several times and yes, they promised pick up but it never happened. The good news - I started talking to people and understanding the price difference. People in my neighborhood were paying $90 - $100 per quarter. I was paying $319. Do you want to know why? Because I've been a customer of theirs for such a long time and prices go up every year. After 3 calls, the best they could do is take it down by $40 per quarter. I told them the next time I called I would be cancelling. Didn't matter. When I did call to cancel I was transferred several times to a person that wanted to give me a "deal". Too late!!!! Horrible. I think they owe me money!

So put my garbage out for Tuesday pick up as usual, not picked up. Just called today Wed morning and they tell me my pick up day is now Friday. Can't tell me when the date changed, but they picked up Tuesday last week. Even if it started Aug, last Friday was 8/1 and I was home all day and did not hear any truck. This company is horrible. They have no problem raising rates w/o notification, hidden charges etc. Stay away.

Republic is the worse company I have ever dealt with! 4+ weeks and still no recyclable pick-up. I've called numerous times and I get the same response, "We'll send a truck tomorrow" Guess what,... It is still here burning my grass!

Worst company I have ever done business with. I started garbage service with republic services. Three weeks later and countless phone calls and promises, no garbage pick up. I have a huge pile of garbage bags a broken container, and a bill for my garbage collection service. The only thing this company found it in them to do for me was send me a bill for a service that I had never received. I was told the issue would be escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor must have been busy because even after canceling service I am yet to be called. Save yourself a horrible experience and use Dave's Suburban Disposal if you live in Hillsborough NJ.

Cant give less than 1 star. Trash pick up is either random or non-existant. Customer service is terrible and "obnoxious" Customer service provides different excuses depending on the caller! (Saw 4 different excuses from one FB string) Customer rep states a refund for missed pick-up or inconvenience will not be provided because "They have issues that they cannot resolve." Promised pick-ups for delayed pick-up are not met. My trash is out on the street for 5 days - getting strewn around by night critters. Time for a new company

I wouldn't even give this company one star. I have not had my recycling picked up since the beginning of June and now my trash for over a week! It's overflowing and stinks at the corner of our driveway. I have called numerous times and the representatives tell me that they are on a hourly delay or it will be picked up by the end of the day. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor which then the representative will try to do but they never answer. I received one call back from a representative named Brenda who was honestly just as disgusted as I am. My trash still sits here waiting and overflowing and now your drivers will have to get out and pick it up. I bet they didn't know they signed up for that and most likely why you have lost a lot of them and are now incapable of fulfilling your duties. You are a company and paid by many who rely on timely professionalism. Get your act together!

This might be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Every day for the past 7 days I called and was assured someone would be out to pick up the missed recycle pickup. This afternoon I gave up and brought it back up the driveway. Canceling the service tomorrow. Anyone who says they had good service was lucky or lying.

I would give 1 star but that’s not an option. This has got to be hands down the worst company ever. I had my regular trash pickup for Monday, Republic no show. I called each day and was lied to by customer service that they were on their way and it would be picked up today. After a full week no show. Cans are at the curb full ready for Republic to pick up because they are fired! LMR starts today! Republic will never have my business again!

Horrible. Premier disposal was recently purchased by Republic Services. It has been a full month of Republic services missing our garbage pick up. We call everyday and they assure us the truck is coming but is delayed. Every day! This is horrible! Unbelievable. I live in Delaware Twp and there are tons of people complaining.

We formally had Raritan Valley Garbage dosposal which was purchased by Republic Services. Raritan Valley made very few mistakes over the nine years we had them before they were purchased. Since that time Republic services has been extremely unreliable, missing our garbage pick-up day more often than not. Their customer service representatives were uneducated and rude. Our final straw came when we need to call to report missed services for six weeks in a row. We were often lied to by customer service being told that our garbage would be picked up the next day and sometimes was not picked up for over another week. We have have canceled our service and highly discourage anyone from using this company.

I;m in Bethlehem Twsp. NJ Started with this company when they were a local business 14 yrs ago. Now they are a giant multi-state conglomerate that has horrible customer service and even worse trash pick-up. Recycling pick up, which was ever two weeks, the scheduled pick-up was missed at least 50% of time. Then you need to call them to get them to fix the situation. When I complained this was starting to become a second job for me, they told me "hold on we will issue a credit". Waited 25 minutes for billing to come on the line and issue a $5 credit! I'm done. Run from this company!

My recycles were to be picked up 11/15/18. Today is 11/28 and my recycles can is overflowing and still at the end of my drive, along with all my neighbors, who also have overflowing recycle cans.My husband and I have both called numerous times and these calls were supposed to "expedite" our pick up. No way! Complaints go in one ear and out the other. I pay for this service to help the environment. But RVD hires irresponsible drivers who cant pick up their designated stops. Their customer service dept needs to be completely restaffed. I am highly upset.Tomorrow is one month since my recycles were picked up and they are supposed to be picked up every 2 wks! How irresponsible!

We moved to the area, recently, and went with the company that the previous owners had. We’ve quickly learned that they’re not reliable. During a holiday week instead of being delayed one day, like most companies, they just decided not to pick up at all that week. When we had double the garbage the following week, they only emptied the trash can itself and couldn’t be bothered with the trash bags next to it. So here’s to a new week. We still haven’t had our garbage picked up, the company is MIA and there’s no holiday to excuse their absence. Scratching my head as to what we are exactly paying for?

Most garbage companies have every week recycle pick-up with no added extra charge. This company wants to charge extra for every week recycle pick up. They start you out at a reasonable, attractive rate, but if you don't keep your eye on the invoices coming in later through out the year, they keep adding more charges on slowly, next thing you know a couple years later, your paying $20.00 to $30.00 dollars more and it keeps going up, so then you call and they offer to lower it again, constant game playing. Also, if you cancel service, they charge you $60.00 dollars to pick up your rolling bin and recycle bin!! I've been with them for 10 years, never again!
