Old school, under-the-radar, under appreciated, local auto repair shop. I live in the neighborhood, but never understood what Annandale Auto Repair was about driving by it every day. Originally from Bergen County, I wasn't aware of Annandale and Pete's local reputation (though Msvis recommended Pete for major repairs) hidden in a gas station on west Main Streetin Clinton. Well, I found out. A terrific old-school, local repair shop that you can trust. Fair pricing, trustworthy, if not quirky in an old-school kind of way. Don't expect a definitive timetable for repairs as you might find at chain shops, but, the quality of work at the pricing more than makes up for it. They have a loyal following and get backed up. Repairs large and small are no problem. I've had everything done from plugging a tire, to engine replacement. Pete even replaced a driver's side rear view mirror, and painted it. It came out great. They are the go-to repair shop in our area, particularly if you're looking for that old-time neighborhood mechanic feel. No questions about it.
Annandale Auto Repair gave me the best quote and service multiple times on my vehicle. I’ve referred their professional, honest and reliable service to many friends who all enjoyed their service and their prices. Pete and his team is very knowledgeable on cars. Mike rocks. They even helped fix my son’s dirt bike. Ten stars out of five.
My air conditioning recently gave up in my car, so I gave Pete a call since the shop isn’t far from where I live. Pete and his crew had the car diagnosed and repaired within 2 days and, as a person who is extremely picky about their car, the work is very neat and clean. Their pricing is also extremely fair.
Needed a radiator replacement, and some hoses fixed. Pete checked to make sure the leak was even there first. Double checked with me to see if I wanted to go forth with the service and was in communication throughout. Really quick and efficient service. Awesome deal, I highly recommend.
I had an emergency car situation, my car broke down while I was driving to work(it wouldn’t drive forward or in reverse). I had to get it towed to my house and get a ride to work in another state. I called Pete, explained what happened and he immediately knew the problem. He actually went to my house to check out the car and towed it to his shop. He sent me videos of the issue and got it running the next day. I would recommend him and his shop to everyone, he was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond!
Not only are Pete and his crew trustworthy and honest with cars, I called him in a panic at the shop on a Sunday asking if he could machine a spring for an old 1800s deadbolt front door lock as our door wouldn’t close during a blizzard. Pete gladly helped machine us a temporary spring for a medieval door lock, and saved us for something completely unrelated to cars when we needed it. Pete is the best at servicing our cars, fairly. And the fact that he and his crew go above and beyond.

Original Post: Small shop but great workers. Pete helped me repair my vehicle for a third of the cost that the dealer wanted.
I'll be taking all of my vehicles here for any work from now on.
We just stopped here with an emergency tire situation and they absolutely could not have been more helpful. They saved our tire and our road trip! I live an hour away but am considering making these guys my go-to mechanic because it was such a positive experience. Highly recommend!
Pete is an honest and fair priced mechanic. He is always willing to explain everything to me in detail and has done a great job on any repair I needed. To top it off he is super friendly! I highly recommend this shop.
My car started having issues along the highway and they were the first shop I could find in the area open on a Saturday morning. After only waiting a few minutes (since they were also servicing other cars), they were able to pull the codes and had some parts sent over to see if that was the problem. Turns out the problem was much worse, but the staff was very helpful and offered me some suggestions (and even showed me where I could walk my dog while I waited). They watched my car for me over the weekend until I could get my car towed back to my regular shop. They didn't have a regular customer to gain for treating me so well, but they worked with me as if I were a regular. If I lived in the area, I would definitely use this shop!
Pete always takes good care of us and is very helpful. I have used his expertise a number of times over the last few years and have never been disappointed.

I had the unfortunate experience of breaking down on Route 31 last evening on my way home from work. I found Annandale Auto Repair online while searching for a tow service. I was lucky enough to have Pete answer my call. Instead of just telling me that they don’t have a towing service, he first offered to help me find one (first pleasant surprise). He continued to ask what had happened with the car, and gave me some things to try over the phone to get it started again(second pleasant surprise). Long story short, he helped me get the car started and I was able to get home safely(ultimate pleasant surprise!). In this day and age, it’s unusual to find someone who will go out of their way to help a complete stranger. This is what Pete did and I am totally grateful! As stated previously, PETE ROCKS????
Snowy Saturday afternoon and I came out to a dead battery. Pete came to my house jump started the car, I brought it to his shop and he replaced the battery. I was up and running again in about an hour. Great service and the fee was very reasonable...Thanks!!!

Pete and his crew are A+. I'm a pretty capable mechanic and do most of the work on my vehicles myself. However, for work that I cannot do, I only trust Pete and his team. Prices are fair and he knows what he's doing. I brought in four tires I had purchased online at a good price with anticipation of just dropping them off and picking up later. Pete asked if I could wait for 10 -15 mins while he mounted and balanced them. That's service!
My son blew a tire on his way to college from Boston, MA to Charlotte, NC. After putting on his spare on I found this place and called to see if they could patch his tire. It was late on a Saturday afternoon. The person on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. He said he could plug it but may not be able to do more but they could take a look and see what they could do. When my son arrived they saw that the tire had a slash that couldn't be plugged. The gentleman said he called around after I spoke with him and would be able to get a tire, mount and balance it. In less than an hour after my son arrived, he was back on the road and on his way to college.
I can't say enough about how courteous they were to me and my son. Clearly a class act shop!
Prior to my call to Annandale Auto Repair, i call a local chain "Discount Tire" center and was told they might get to it by tomorrow. If he wanted to come by and wait in line he was the 20 person waiting, but they couldn't guarantee that they could get to it.
I'm sure glad I went with a small local shop. To the workers at Annandale Auto Repair, thanks for all your help today.
Fast service, HONEST prices about repairs (a lot of places will overcharge) They fixed a few things in my car without me asking and offered to give me an extra part they had lying around free of charge. Stuff like that stands out to me. Very satisfied
When people say "they got a guy", Pete and the crew at Annandale Auto are my guys. He's the only one in the business that will tell it like it is. "this is going, but it can wait" or "this is recalled and the dealer will do it for free" are things I've heard at Pete's shop and nowhere else. I've been going to Pete since before they moved (over 10 years), and i'll never go to a dealer for service again!
Honest, reliable, and pleasant to deal with. They fix what is broken and not pad the bill with unnecessary parts and labor. They have been servicing my vehicles for more than 6 years.
