Literally known for being the worst tire place around. I had all runflats on my bmw. First tire blew, took it here to get it changed. Apparently they didn’t put a matching tire/brand and it wasn’t a run flat. I had a second tire blow, They put another tire on which was again a totally different brand/ different mm. (i was not aware). I had a third tire go (run flats are known for blowing easy), and AGAIN a totally different tire. I had a fourth tire have a bubble in it and decided to take it to BMW. They fixed that tire and made me aware that every single tire now on my car was completely different. This could destroy my drivetrain and also made me aware it was also very dangerous to be driving with 4 completely different tires on my car. As well as makes the tires more prone to blowing because of the different tread lengths. I do not know anything about tires so i didn’t know of this. Tonight, i had one of my tires blow again due to the different tires on my car that they installed. I’m going to be taking my car to Mavis again in the morning and if they do not resolve this issue i will be taking it further. Another issue, i had my brakes changed there a few weeks ago. Now, my brakes squeak even more then before so idk what they did but ill be questioning them about that too. It’s just absolutely ridiculous how many problems they have given me and not to mention the prices of the tires going up every single time i come. Which it should be the same price for the same tire that i need for my vehicle should it not? The amount of money i’ve given them for my tires constantly and for them to not even put the correct tires on my car that causes them to blow again is just ridiculous. Not to mention the staff at the register (not all of them, just 1 or 2) just do not care to explain to you anything without you asking them. I’m so insanely pissed off at what they did to my car, after this final tire and if they don’t either change all the tires they put on that were incorrect or at least don’t charge me for the one due to their negligence, i’m going to be taking my car somewhere else. It’s just absolutely ridiculous.
Do not recommend. Booked a online reservation for Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.. I showed up at 8:50 a.m. and the gentleman said I should leave it for the day. I said I booked it online reservation and would wait the hour or so. The gentleman said that he had nine cars in front of me and that he was unsure how long it would take. Nine cars in front of me at 9:00 a.m.? Why take a reservation? He did kindly offer to lend me his car for the day with a broken tail light. I declined and tried to schedule for the following day thinking I could leave my car at night. He then said they have no key drop off box and that I should leave the key in the car overnight. So I asked for a refund on my $25 deposit and he told me I would have to call the home office for the refund. Total waste of time
I had a very disappointing experience at Mavis Tire.
I made an appointment at 9:00 AM for a 12:00 PM tire replacement and also requested an oil change. We arrived on time at 12:00 and waited there for three hours, only to be told that they did not even have our tire size in stock.
If the tires were not available, why were we not informed in the morning when we made the appointment? We wasted half a day waiting, and by the time they told us, it was too late to go somewhere else. That means our entire day was lost because of their poor communication.
What made the situation worse was that instead of apologizing or offering a real solution, they said they could order the tires — but only if we came back the next morning in person so they could place the order. They claimed it was because they were worried we “wouldn’t show up.” This felt unprofessional and disrespectful, especially considering they were the ones who failed to check inventory before confirming our appointment.
There was no apology, no accountability, and no effort to make things right. The whole experience felt dismissive and unfair. As customers, we expect basic communication and respect.

Got tires mounted and balanced and an oil changed. They also told me I needed new brake pads and that they were worn out. They are almost full on their pads. Not a trustworthy mechanic.
Mavis of Clinton continue to be my go to for all car repairs. Most recently, they took me in the same day to resolve my tire issue, was back up and running the same day. they are always very friendly and helpful and the team there is very experienced. I highly recommend for your service needs.
Brought my ford focus in for some new tires and john was very helpful in addressing an axel issue that was able to fixed up quickly. I got my car back that day and not a bad price at all. John was very efficient and everyone was so friendly. Very good service 😊
I went to this location on 12/30/25 in need of a single tire, as there was something in the road that popped my tire the night before on my ride from CT to GA. Not only was I not offered the same discount as every person(who happened to not be of color) that walked in ($20 off for leaving a Google review) but left with a missing lug nut & a tire that was incorrectly put on. I drove from NJ to GA on that improper tire. When I went to use the vehicle the next day and at any speed less than 50mph heard a loud banging a clicking sound. My vehicle was unable to be used for 2 days, as we assumed it could be a suspension issue, where I had to catch rides or Lyft from my 2 jobs and home. When I brought the vehicle to my shop & left it for them to inspect, they let me know that the new tire was improperly put on the vehicle. After finding out this info I called the store to complain. First person hung up on me, the second could not find any record of work & said they would call me back. They did not.
If they are going to do the work, check after to make sure nothing is wrong.
I dropped off a wheel with a blown tire at the Clinton NJ shop and John gave me a good quote with a promise it would be done by the next day because it was not in stock. Later that evening he called me to say that the wheel was ready to pick up. He located a better tire and price matched it for me. Excellent service from a very friendly crew 👏.
I’ve been bringing my cars here for over 10 years,. Their service and prices are always competitive. They check my tire pressure for free, don’t try to sell me services that I don’t need and always take coupons.

I was in this location recently looking for help with a nearly flat tire. I didn’t think it would make it home. Met the assistant manager who was nice enough to fill all 4 tires free of charge. Very nice, well spoken man. Best experience I’ve had at a Mavis in a while!

I stopped by Mavis Discount Tire because of low tire pressure. They assisted me immediately and found a nail in my tire. They fit me in the following day for a tire plug.

i wouldn’t recommend going here especially if you are a young female. i’ve been here now twice, first to get my oil changed sometime last year and within the last week to get two tires replaced. the first time i waited roughly 3 hours for an oil change. (it was empty) that’s insane, and to top it off they tried to tell me something was wrong and i needed to buy a new one which i denied.
now within this last week i called them about replacing two tires, easy. brought my car in and picked it up on my break. tommy the man who i have had both interactions with, claimed i needed to get all ten lug nuts replaced and said they could “get them off but not put them back on” that’s ridiculous lol. we got 5 on when we put a donut on my car to get to the shop so how was that possible. my father ended up calling them and having to explain how to do it. we managed to get only 3 replaced for obvious damage. when i came in to pay i also asked that i have the good tire (not the one with the hole that can’t be reused) be put back in my car. what did they do? they put the blown tire in there and still charged me the fee for discarding them.
don’t waste money here, they don’t know what they are doing clearly if someone has to call and explain how to do their job for them.
I came in for two new tires & a wheel alignment that needed to be done quickly because I had work. Richie & Travis were awesome ! They were able to work with my budget that I had set & got me in and out with in an hour. Top tier customer service. 10/10 recommend
This location is super helpful and accommodating! I was hearing a weird sound from the front of my car and I called to see if they could look at it right away. They were able to accommodate me and check it out within the hour. It was something minor that could be fixed easily. They fixed this for me and didn’t charge me for looking at it or for fixing the issue. I so appreciate them fixing this at no charge and for their honesty! Would totally recommend! I had an unexpected flat tire in the middle of the highway, and I can’t thank the team at Mavis Tire enough for their incredible support. Instead of leaving me stranded or waiting for roadside assistance, the service manager himself came out to help. He didn’t hesitate—grabbed the tools and changed the tire personally, ensuring I could get back on the road safely.

The people at Mavis Tire were amazing! I had a nail stuck in my tire while traveling from NYC to Virginia and they got me in and out super fast and made the whole process so easy. Everyone was really nice, especially the gentleman at the front. I so so appreciate everyone at this store!
