I have always had great experiences with the Kearny ShopRite, but this time I was extremely disappointed. I placed an order for a Minecraft-themed cake and was told that the theme was not available. Instead, I was informed that a Minecraft image could be printed on the cake, so I went ahead and ordered a half-sheet cake. The party was for my child at Kids Empire, and I had asked friends to pick up the cake. When I finally opened it at the party, I was shocked, embarrassed, and deeply disappointed by the presentation. The image was printed only in the center of the cake instead of covering the entire surface, making it look very poor and unprofessional. No one informed me in advance that the image would be printed this way. If I had known, I would have chosen a different cake altogether. I had even shared a sample photo at the time of placing the order to show how the cake should look. Serving such a cake at a big party was truly embarrassing.

They carried everything I was looking for. They are very helpful when you ask them for a specific product. I definitely recommend anyone look to shop for good products to shop at SHOPRITEB??

They have good service, and they have the stuff they need. 5 stars.

I like this ShopRite travel 40 mins away pass two ShopRites to come to this one. I went to get some lunch meat and the older lady cutting meat coughed into her gloves and went right back to cutting cheese for the store. She did not change her gloves. This will no longer be my ShopRite of choice.

Bought steaks from there and one of the packages meat didn’t look ok. I ended up throwing it away. In the attached image you can see how the middle is dark colored.

So glad this ShopRite carries Chifleton Toston! They’re always fresh, super crispy, and delicious. It’s really convenient to be able to pick them up here while doing my regular grocery shopping. Definitely one of my favorite snacks!

Love this ShopRite but try to compare prices to Amazon because the blonde espresso is only $7 and at store it’s 10 . Could save some money. ?

The produce ALWAYS have rotten fruits and vegetables for EACH and EVERY item in that section. I asked a worker to bring out some bananas, and then he brought out 2 big boxes of them. Guess what?? The bananas were HOT, SWEATING & FUNKY. They smelled like feet & butt, seriously. I wasted my money shopping here!! Please don't bother to send me a generic reply asking to give ya'll a call to get further information, because I will be calling the health dept.!!

Bought a rotisserie chicken on Saturday, June 14th, only too consume a 1/4 and get terrible food poisoning for two days. They need to be more careful to cook those more thoroughly. They did give me a refund when I stopped in today and let the Nanager off the address know

I love the ShopRite. I’ve been going here since I was a kid now in adult. The owner is a spectacular person. He even notices his regular customers. Majority of the workers are extremely helpful and polite most of all they are always fully stocked OCD clean lol and you always have a parking spot no matter what the weather is. I truly love this store 100 stars for me.

Plenty of parking, not shared directly with another store. The deli and hot food bar are right at the entrance to the store. The store has good fresh selections, is well stocked, and has both self checkout and staffed checkout lanes with plenty of staff. Customer service is helpful and eager to serve. This is another excellent ShopRite store!

I visited the deli section at ShopRite today at 8:00 AM, and one of the male employees was extremely disrespectful. When I asked about pricing, he aggressively exclaimed, “Wait! I’m busy!” and then shouted, “What do you want?” His tone and behavior were completely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. Although he later apologized, the experience was disappointing and unacceptable. I expect better customer service from ShopRite, and I hope this issue is addressed so other customers aren’t treated the same way.

This is the go-to grocery store in the area, even for the city of Newark. I would not recommend going to the Newark location. When you see the Newark PD sub-police station in the lobby of the store you immediately will understand why. I have been going to The Kearny Shop-Rite for 5 years. It has been under new management for several of those years and has undergone a lot of reconditioning projects which has helped improve the appearance and speed up the shopping experience greatly. I believe the same family that owns this Shop-Rite owns the Nutley location as well which is similarly nice but too far for me but I occasionally go there as well when it's convenient for me and I have no complaints. The liquor store attached to the Kearny location is good as well with decent prices.

Great supermarket and just keeps getting better! New self checkouts, new freezer for seafood are just a few improvements. Always well stocked and I have never found a single thing that was old or outdated. The new owner is really doing a great job!

The products are well-marked, and the service is decent (cashier efficiently handled my membership discount queries).

Very unprofessional, someone with this type of attitude shouldn’t even work with the public . I had literally 2 items and she told me to go get in a line then followed up after with a smart remark and then I watch her take someone else which had about 10 plus items . She needs to honestly be fired in my opinion if you don’t like the job don’t work there .

So I ordered a cake for my son 3rd birthday and I was very pacific with the shapes and smoothness of the number. I kept asking the young lady at the bakery about the amount of cupcakes to complete the 3 for the shape. She was very dismissive and annoyed of my questions but this is the reason I was asking. My husband went to pick it up in a rush and when he got it home. I was so disappointed cause it looks like a 2 or a 5 that they winged into a 3. An to make matters worse the cake was disgusting. I asked for butter cream icing. The cake tastes like fondant and it wasn’t sweet. The icing was thick and inedible. We took it off and still have 14 out of 24 left. Photo: I added the Elmo toy.

Ordered my mom a cake here and when received design was incorrect. My mom noticed the butter cream soft but brought it to me to see if it was fixable. All layers of the cake were shifting and the cake its self was still warm. in the summer a warm cake does not stand a chance. When i called the store to ask for a refund now that i have a sideways cake that looks like a sad stack of pancakes; first i my call was dropped about 3 times then store manager karim with out asking for information on my order automatically started raising his voice and saying he was not helping because i needed to return to the store. Had he spoken in a matter that made me feel like he was actually trying to help me with my concern i would of tried to at-least go to the store. But being said no with no sense of care is ridiculous then to raise your voice when i was speaking in a normal tone is diabolical behavior. Cake in the right was the design requested cake on the left is their work.

Please do something about these dumpsters , it is very dirty and the garbage blows everywhere . Would be nice to have it relocated to the opposite side please .

Well organized, cheap price, friendly staffs and cashiers, great service mind for all staffs. They offer your help without hesitation and i really appreciate it a lot. Spacious parking space. I enjoy walk in this supermarket so much.

A Great selección of the best wines and liquors , Great parking lot , secure and easy. Nice place

Overall good experience. The place was clean and very renovated. Outside it has weird traffic patterns So be cautious how you drive in the parking lot. All the stuff I interacted with were very polite. The motorized shopping cart I used had a good capacity, was strong & very slow. I definitely want to go back and try the cooked and prepared food section. I neglected to see if they had a dining area.

I especially love the shop from home workers. And the grocery Managers at this store I have placed huge orders for donation purpose, and they go out of their way to pack it just right and they even help me load it into my car.

I expressed my concern to management about PUTTING A SIMPLE LINE so people can respect others PRIVACY. 95% of the time when I go to the pharmacy the next patient/customer just walks up to the desk. THERE IS no privacy in collecting your prescription or comfortability in asking the pharmacist A QUESTION. NO PRIVACY. MEANWHILE they put up this useless light display at the entrance instead of a simple line on the floor or one like what they have at the banks that cost MUCH LESS THAT THAT USELESS display. See how close this woman walks up while I am picking up my prescription. Like seriously and the majority of people do that!!

Great customer service. They have guys outside willing to help load your cars. I see ShopRite has stepped up their game since neighboring store BJ's came to town. Overall great experience. Not too mention open 24 hrs. I do suggest staying away this place the first week of every month. Other than that 5 *

Was in the store collecting information for competitors so I had never heard of this place till now. Overall it's gross, small, and they don't organize one bit.

Best shop, Thankful for ShopRite. We are members of Shop Rite since 1998, No fees, lots of discount. Friendly Staff.
