Placed an order online for two 5- gallon pails of motor oil. I chose the curb side pick up otw to the store. Called up store to confirm as per email pick up instructions. Lady store clerk rudely stated curb side pick up was no longer available since Covid. Went into the store, order was ready and again, store clerk was rude and said I could always use the cart to get my items into my car. Could have been better..

I always have an excellent experience at A.A thank you to the parts pro lady Yary, she always greets me kindly and is really a pro at knowing her stuff. I needed a few things for my van and she helped me from start to finish. Yary is always pleasant, she makes me want to keep coming back.

I came into Advance Auto Parts a little hesitant because my last visit with Debbie left a bad taste in my mouth. She didn’t really help me the way I needed, and I wasn’t planning on coming back. But Malachi completely changed my experience. He helped me out thoroughly, knew exactly what he was doing, and made sure I left with everything I needed. His customer service was on point, and he treated me with respect and patience the entire time. Because of Malachi, I actually want to come back to this location. If you’re going to shop here, ask for him—he’s the reason this store earned my business again.

Sept.7,2025 store worker said he was almost the manager…wouldn’t honor discount on oil product because clearing code would of took 20 minutes and it was 10 min till closing thank you Javi for your service anyway…it’s not the 1st time this store sucks .

What a wonderful experience compared to the other location I visited. The associate here was the complete opposite of the person I dealt with before—she was entirely focused on customer satisfaction. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted promptly and kindly asked what I needed. She took my pickup receipt, located my item in less than 30 seconds, and did it all with a pleasant attitude—using terms of endearment while still remaining professional. She was so apologetic when the computer crashed, which was totally not her fault yet she owned it. Again, the total opposite of the person at the other location. That person made me feel like it was my fault for placing the order and not knowing they didn't have it in stock when the online ordering confirmed it was in stock. Now I know why that locations inventory was off, employee indifference. Yadira truly made my day. Moving forward, I’ll gladly drive twice the distance to come to this branch, not only because they have what I need in stock, but because of the warm, kind, and professional service I received here. Thank you Yadira. My faith is restored in your company.

Walked in and stood in front of 3 associates for about 5 minutes. There were no other customers in the store. No one even greeted me so I left. My recommendation is to go to AutoZone which is about a minute away.

The male cashier stared at me upon entering without greeting me and watched on as I looked at all of the different kinds of antifreeze without asking me if I needed any help. He wasn’t friendly or helpful at all. I eventually found the kind I needed for my car. When I got to the register to pay, I realized he was eating a whole meal at the register and counted the money with food residue on his hands. Not sure if he wasn’t allowed a break or if they had no break room, but totally unprofessional and unacceptable. This place has to do better.

Today I went there to buy catalytic cleaner I picked up a bottle it was priced 12.97 when I got to checkout they told me it’s 28.97 I showed the cashier on the shelf the price he told me you moved all the bottles to that place to get it for less , he called me Arab theft , I called the police to ask them to show the footage they refused. Even the manager was cursing me and he didn’t want to investigate the incident. Three days ago I spent money there buying ac filter and air filter for my car I’m a regular customer there, the people who were there today they are unprofessional.

What a great experience I had this week. Deb was working this fine shop. I provided her with a part number for an item I needed. They indeed had it however Deb wanted to make sure that’s for sure what I needed. Turned out I was wrong and she was right. Deb was knowledgeable, quick, pleasant to talk to and saved me a future headache. The world needs more Debs who speak up and are ready to help. Thanks for being the star you are!

Called in looking for caliper paint, gave a wrong part number, instead of proceeding to help me with my question, tried to lecture me as to why I was wrong in why they can’t find the item even though I can provide the all the other information. When providing the item information and description instead of actually looking and providing assistance was arrogant and just immediately said oh we don’t have it, when I did not even finish my sentence! Did not get the woman’s name, but will not be going there!

I was blown away from the staff at Advanced Auto in bayonne. The staff was super friendly and very helpfull especially Nas he was very nice, friendly and super knowledgeable about the products. I really recommend for anyone in need for anything vehicle wise to come here. Awesome experience as usual.

Ms. Debbie B, the manager from the Bayonne store Advanced Auto Parts store 5858 is very knowledgeable and professional when it comes to her work. We've been doing business with her from a mechanic shop in Newark for years called Speed Auto Repair and she's always on top of any task we ask from her. She goes above and beyond to help the shop and our customers. We are very happy with all the work she's done for us over the years and I wish I'd find more managers like her.

They are always busy which is great for them but if you need help, be patient. I actually had an off duty employee help me the last time I was there. This visit, thank goodness I knew what I needed, found it & purchased. If properly staffed, this place could do great business.

They are always super friendly and well stocked. Debbie really helped me out by changing my windshield wiper blades in less than five seconds. She was very kind and helpful.

Visited the Bayonne branch off 440 today at approximately 2:35pm to pick up some bulbs for my car. At checkout the total was a couple dollars more than the advertised price, the payment transaction was still ongoing so I asked why. The cashier had added bulb grease to my purchase. I repeatedly asked if it was an additional cost to which he kept answering "in comes with the bulb, its the only way we sell bulbs". I asked to purchase the bulbs only and he refused so I asked for a refund. He obliged and proceeded to refund the purchase but gave me a dollar less. I pointed out his mistake and he gave me back $3.00 with the statement " now you can afford to buy bulb grease". I took $1 leaving the balance on the counter and left the store. After returning to my car, I called the store to inform the manager of my experience. The person that answered was the same individual that I had just dealt with instore. I politely told him that I don't want to speak with him I'll call back tomorrow to speak with a different person. Within seconds of hanging up he burst out of the store and came to my car and said "you wanted the manager, here i am, I'm out of the store, what you want". The individual was very aggressive and I chose to remain in my car to not escalate the situation. He pointed to his t-shirt and said that I'm the manager and you deal with me. I left and went to the nearby autozone where I made my purchase. I called Advance Auto's complaint hotline and got no answer - most probably closed on Sunday. I will try again tomorrow during regular business hours. I will advise anyone that takes the time to read this to visit another Auto supply place. I will put my review in as many places as possible and share my experience to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Outstanding service. Purchased a can of slime for a flat and it didnt work. The slime would not discharge, the woman behind the counter said np we can exchange it for you. So i did the exchange and she was very appologetic like it was her fault or something. Told he no biggie it happens. She was very pleasant to deal with. I will recomend this store to others, she deserves a 10. Her name is Debbie B... very great help with questions

The young lady who works there was absolutely wonderful. I ordered on line and there was a mixup and my order was cancelled. I went in and she took care of it and also gave me a discount. Go here to purcha6all you car needs. She is very knowledgeable. Merry Christmas to her.

One representative from this location (African American female with dreadlocks) was extremely unprofessional, rude, lacked customer service skills, and when I asked for my change back, she literally through the money back at me. She’s lucky I was rushing to work, otherwise I would of asked for a manager and reported her behavior. That is not how you talk to or treat a loyal customer. I’ve been coming to this location for several years and never experienced such rude customer service. I would hope to never encounter that again next time I come and purchase a part for my vehicle.

Staff here is very efficient! They all are pretty familiar with the basic auto repairs. I usually order online and pickup in store when I'm buying from this store. They always have my order ready to go! The store doesn't always have what I need in stock, but that doesn't have to do with the staff. There are always coupons for Advanced autos. I HIGHLY recommended ordering what you need online to use the online coupons and then pickup in store. You can save a lot of money this way.
