I called to see if they would do a residential pick up, and I wanted to write a positive review about their stellar customer service. Although they were not able to help me in my specific situation, Ken gave me fantastic, realistic advice on what i should do, and also, recommended people who would be able to help me. I expect most companies to just flat out give me a "no" and hang up, but just from one simple phone conversation, i could tell that they really care about their customer service, and I think it's worth praising in a review.

I was referred for a job by a very good past client. Myself and my partner had to clean out a garage and get rid of everything because the client had recently purchased a house that he was renting. It had three refrigerators, three stoves, a washing machine and a lot of metal. Needless to say we were going to a scrap yard. We chose H&C in Newark because we liked how fast, efficient, and honest they were firsthand. I would recommend them if you need to scrap any sort of metal junk you no longer need.
Ken was a great help when we were searching for a place to get 10 large radiator's recycled from a home renovation project. He pointed us in the right direction and gave us sound advice. I will use them again and would recommend them and their top notch customer service to anyone in the area.

H&C Metals is an outstanding company. I called them to E-cycle my two large outdated televisions. Even though the facility could not accept these items due to mercury, they directed me to where I needed to go. Prior to calling them, no one could help me. I appreciate Ken and his staff. He was extremely professional and helpful! They provided me with excellent customer service and they cared about my issue.
This place is awesome. Great customer service & support. They made the process of recycling scrap metal quick and easy. They helped me sort through my copper/brass and other metals. They were very honest and helpful. Will be using them in the future for sure. Highly recommend!

Ken's knowledge of metals, recycling and their markets is spot on. He gave me an informative plant tour and guided me through the process of recycling lead batteries.
