Unfortunately, my experience was very negative after the change in ownership of this shop. I brought my car in to have the alternator replaced and was charged around $740 in labor alone, with the claim that the job took 7 hours, which I find completely unreasonable for this type of repair. This was never clearly explained beforehand. Shortly after, during a visit to a tire shop, I was informed that there was a cracked part on my vehicle — something that could and should have been identified during the previous service, especially since work had already been done in that area. This shows a lack of proper inspection and attention to the customer. Overall, it feels like after the change in ownership, the priority became profit rather than transparency and customer trust. I do not recommend this shop and do not plan to return.

I took my car in for inspection. They're very friendly and very nice. The mechanic explain to me why I didn't pass inspection and what I had to do to pass.

The new management amwell auto clinic is a total ripoff. When I dropped off my car with a tire leak I assumed its covered since I bought the tire from them but apparently roadside hazard is not covered if you buy tires from them. I assumed the repair is free cause of the tire purchase and also because when I dropped it off they never said a word about potential charge. When I went to pick up the car they charged me without any form of communication before the work was done since I could have done it for half the price at a different place. 2 lessons learned: 1. Don't buy tires from this place cause there is no roadside hazard coverage (costco, mavis or any other tire stores are a better choice). 2. Ask ahead of time on potential charges if you are getting anything done with them. 2nd lesson wont be useful since I am definitely not going back there but hopefully helpful for others who plan to go there.

Good old-fashioned service station: I needed to get air in my tires, which takes four quarters (naturally, I only had 3). I went to get change, unfortunately, I only had a $20 on me. The manager smiled & handed me a quarter out of his own pocket. Afterwards, as a courtesy, I went ahead and got gas (even though I already had a nearly full tank). I will gladly go here again.

I made an appointment to get a 2 year old issue fixed. I had been to 5 other garages and no one could figure it out. Alan had the car for a few hours, called me back because he figured out the problem and had it fixed later that day. It was 102 degrees that day and he still was happy and smiling each time I saw him. 100% recommend this garage to everyone!

Honest mechanic !! Driving home from work one day and noticed my water gauge was “pinned” all the way past the top!! I had used Resta’s station 40 years ago when my family lived in the area so I knew they were reasonable. At first the mechanic wasn’t available but the other two attendants suggested that I don’t drive it since I probably overheated and didn’t want to further damage the engine. I immediately started crying?cause that’s what I do. I couldn’t afford a major repair or even Ubers home and to work for the next day. The mechanic came out to talk to me and offered to park the car while I was on the phone figuring out next steps. He got out of the car and said ”you still have AC so you’re definitely not overheating” He got out his computer gizmo and plugged it in and found everything is running as it should. He determined it was just a broken “cluster” or gauge and said he used to work for Pontiac and they often go bad. PHEW!! (I started crying again??) so relieved!! At some point I’ll have to get that fixed but not today. The next morning it was back to normal. Now, he could’ve told me ANYTHING and I would have no choice but to believe him since I know nothing about cars. He could’ve charged $300 or $500 but instead he got a hug and sent me on my way. Alan is his name. Made my day- so helpful so honest. Highly recommend Resta’s Shell station.

Rented a uhaul elsewhere and chose this location as the drop off. Drop off was simple and quick. Utilized the uhaul app and had no issues whatsoever. There was ample parking for the drop off. There was plenty of room to take pictures for the app. Also, if you are dropping off a Uhaul here there is a gas station so you don't have to fill up elsewhere before drop off and incur any fees.

I had a great experience at Resta’s Auto Care, even though the news about my car wasn’t what I had hoped for. The staff was incredibly respectful and helpful, making sure to outline all the issues clearly. Alan, an expert with experience working on Cadillacs, took the time to explain everything in detail, which I really appreciated. Their professionalism and knowledge gave me confidence in their work. I’ll definitely be bringing my other classic cars here in the future. Highly recommend!

Restas has always been professional and excellent in both the mechanical work and customer service. You never want to have work done on your car but if you do - this is the place to go. They are my #1!

Knowledgeable informative goes the extra mile car was ready when anticipated got notices that I had the appointment to remind me got phone call explaining what was going on. Got a phone call that the car was done very well keeping you updated and reminding you of Appointments.

RESTA'S took ownership of my classic car. After a thorough inspection, they identified worn out parts and FOUND REPLACEMENTS! I now am supremely satisfied my car is both safe and reliable!

EXCELLENT SERVICE!! I had my car inspected and they discovered a problem and needed a part. The part was delivered quickly and installed. The team is very customer focused. I would highly recommend this facility for your car needs.

Have been doing work on my Porsche Panamera which is NOT an easy car to work on and every time they have whatever I need done in a day or two MAX. No problem's at the best price in the state. I’d recommend everyone I know to here.. even over my own previous dealership I owned lol.

Awesome service for my 2007 Miata!! Had 4 newer tires replaced on my Miata. Resta's called me and sent an email when the car was done. Also sent a detailed invoice of the services performed and an option to pay online as well. Thanks you!!

The tires were off balanced and it was my fault for using Flat Repair compound and in 30 mins Allan figured it out and had me and my son back home for dinner I had taken the car to big box stores and tried to have the wheels balanced due to highway shakes. It seems nobody was willing to take the tire off to find out why 1 tire couldn't be balanced. They put the time in to help me

My car was towed to this place on (7-6-24) and when I found out they weren’t open to do what I needed done, I was so stressed and upset because I was 2 hours and 45 minutes from home. Let me tell, the owner went far and beyond to help me get home!! I will forever be thankful for this place because I got home safely and didn’t spend the money I would have if it wasn’t for him. Thank you so much Mr. Frank!! The owner is amazing!

Restas solved my oil leak problem, for free! My wife had noticed some oil residue on our driveway, and mentioned this to the guys at Restas, when she brought our Forester in for an oil change. They traced it to a worn rubber seal, and they replaced it as part of the oil change, with no additional charge. It's a minor thing, I know, but it's typical of their honesty and customer service. Restas has always dealt straight with us, for as long as we've been bringing our cars to them for maintenance, and they've never recommended work that we didn't need. They're also one of the few places that still cleans your windshield when you gas up! If you live in the Somerset area, and know where Amwell Road is, give Restas Shell a try. Nice, clean family-run place.

Excellent service! Restas tried their best to save me the most. I had a blown brake line on my 27 year old vehicle. Resta’s took the time and care to do their best to save all the original parts they could rather then simply replacing all with new to run up a bill. They performed a real life-saving service to keep this beloved vehicle on the road for a fair price with excellent service and care. Thank you Restas!

Not quality work. I sent my Honda here to have the valve cover gasket replaced. I even supplied the shop with the OEM part purchased at the Honda dealer. This week I had to take my car back to a highly rated, undisputedly honest shop in my area because the valve cover is leaking worse than before it was replaced and I discovered the gasket was not the OEM part I supplied but a gasket made of RTV silicone. No wonder it failed; RTV takes 24 hours to cure and my car was a same day service. And when I picked up the car, I guess the battery had been disconnected but nothing was reset, including the ENVIRO fuel economy setting on the engine and the radio settings were factory defaulted. At the time I didn’t think anything of it but was a little annoyed. When I picked up my car from a competing garage this week, all of my settings were as I left them, including the engine fuel economy setting. I did see a “help wanted: mechanic” sign a few weeks/months after my initial repair so hopefully you have better people now but I’m not a fan of a place that does not deliver lasting work/does not use the supplied OEM parts.

Great experience here, the staff are friendly and communicative, and they made recommendations for me to prioritize safety on my old beater truck while staying precisely within my budget. They recommended and priced out a few other issues with my truck that need to get fixed in the near future, but with no pushiness, just solid advice. I'll absolutely be back to get that work done in the future.

Amazing service from the team, they are very helpful and kind people. They have done a remarkable service, from giving reports and providing feedback on the car's entire health to providing the best advice and recommendations for everything needed for your car and what things are best and at what point, depending on your car. I highly recommend them for any of your car needs.

Highly recommended First time client of the shop and was not disappointed. The new tires for my vehicle were wisely selected (feels and sounds like a new car). There was a rattle in the front end which was resolved. Being clueless about cars I could have easily been taken advantage of but was not. Honest, communicated well and efficient team

Can't say enough good things. Customer service was great- taught me a little about my car and what maintenance was required. I went in thinking I needed to do a comprehensive service and they explained that the car's electronic system told them I didn't need all of that work and caught something that I would have otherwise not thought to have serviced. I usually hate having to find a new mechanic or have my car serviced because I just don't know that much about cars and worry that I am not providing the correct information or requesting the correct services. They provided detailed notes with pictures of the work that was done and why. I left feeling confident about the work that was done. And I never felt talked down to. In fact, there was no difference in the way I was treated and the way they treated my husband. I appreciated that.

We've taken several of our cars to Restas and have been very happy with the service. They have been very communicative on what the issues are and what the service options are. Work has been done in the time committed to and we've never had any issues afterwards. I appreciate their trustworthiness the most. We recently brought car in for a repair that could have cost over $1,200 due to the complexity. However, they found there was TSB from the manufacturer and suggested we take it to the dealer where it would be covered under extended warranty. Happy to have them in the neighborhood and would recommend them to others.

They have always provided quality service with care. My family and I have utilized their business for several years now to service cars, get mechanical work done, and recently to junk a car. They have always been honest and open about what is needed to be done. I've heard others say they are on the expensive side, I say "you get what you pay for." I've used other mechanics, in my past and walked away disappointed trying to save a few dollars. I have never felt taken advantage of by the workers or owner. So, I stay coming back as a loyal customer. I also like that they've saved my information over the years. So, when I call and give them certain information they already have my vehicle registered. Overall, never had any complaints.

I took my Prius to Restas Car Care in January 2023 after the mechanic I've used for many years had passed away. Very happy with Restas and the work that was done on my car. The work done included oil change , brake service and battery replacement- All done in a timely professional manner. What was quite impressive to me was when my car was diagnosed with having potential brake and battery issues during a complimentary service check with my oil change , Restas included pictures of the issues they found with my car. I was in my travel and my Toyota Rav4 was making rattling noise when I apply my brakes. As I am not local was not sure what to do as I need to continue my journey. I did quick local search and found Restas along with others. But after reading there reviews I decided to go forward and there service was excellent . As I had no rental call they dropped me at my hotel and also picked up once service was over. Very friendly staff and management. The one thing I liked most is post care support follow-up with there email's and phone calls to check if everything was okay or I need any support. Technician were so friendly to patiently listen and answer all my questions. Overall very satisfied with there work they done and most importantly there customer service.
