I enjoyed my first experience here and respected that pictures were taken to show proof of possible repair needs during an oil change. I feel like I can trust Advantage Auto and will be back.

Needed my oil changed but was going to be out of town. We were able to work out drop off and pick up around my vacation and they took excellent care of my baby (Candy).

My mother spoke so highly of Advantage Auto that I scheduled services to be done when I was visiting from Savannah, GA. I am very pleased with everything. They were thorough, friendly and had great communication. I will definitely schedule service again with them.

These guys show they care! Great customer service. I’ll definitely take my car whenever service is needed.

Update 10/10/25: Below was my original review and a little over 5 years later I still feel the same! The best mechanic around hands down!! Advantage Auto will always get my business. I cannot say enough great things about Advantage Auto Service!! I just moved to area and needed a mechanic in a pinch, I read some reviews and picked these guys and boy am I glad that I did! David was amazing and so friendly and he made me feel so at ease. The professionalism here is outstanding!! I was planning on staying with my mechanic and travel across the bridge to PA. But to be in an emergency situation and call them to only be told that the soonest they could fit me in was a week away!! Advantage Auto has stolen me away from them and as long as I am living in Palmyra, they will be my go to mechanic!!

Won't take my vehicles anywhere else. Top notch service, great communication, fair pricing. They also have a loaner program if they have cars available and you need to leave yours for an extended period. Greatest mechanic team in the area, by far.

I truly appreciate the mechanic for replacing my front breaks, rotors, wheel bearings, pads and pin on Monday, especially since I had to drive to Trenton on Wednesday in that torrential rain. I'll definitely be back next year for proper maintenance on my old vehicle.

Excellent work and excellent customer service as always. Gave me a loaner car which I didn’t even end up needing because the work was done so expeditiously. Can’t recommend enough.

I would recommend Advantage Auto Service in Palmyra to anyone looking for a new place to have your automobiles serviced with old school values. They kept me apprised all through each step while working on my Van. Not only are they professional, but down to earth and really care about their customers. They even gave me a loaner to drive while they worked on my Van. These guys are really nice and take the time to explain everything!!!

I recently acquired a used Nissan Leaf and wanted to get it checked out. My expectations were exceeded by Advantage! They conducted a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle, prioritizing actions that need to be addressed now or in the future. They also provided a cost estimate of each issue. I took care of two of these immediately, and was pleased by how reasonable the cost was. Every person I encountered was courteous and patient, and it made me feel like they were glad to have me as a customer.

I've been looking for a local mechanic that I can trust ever since ours closed up shop a few years ago. Advantage Auto Service has had flyers in our mail, but we've never used them. Our Bronco needed an oil change, so I decided to give them a try. Not knowing what to expect, I walked into their office and was immediately impressed with their operation. Clean, organized, polite and professional are the words that come to mind. The work was done quickly, at a fair price and on time, as promised, with no surprises. Bryan Pegg, our Service Advisor, was excellent! I was already sold on them, but they made my experience even better when I picked up our vehicle. Bryan handed me a certificate for a complimentary full service oil change to use down the road AND when I got in my vehicle, there was a small gift box with some cool items in it from them as a thank you! WOW! I left feeling awesome and wondering why it took me so long to entrust them with our vehicles. Thank you Bryan and team, we will be back! I highly recommend Advantage Auto Service!!

I can't speak to the quality of the actual work done here, but I can speak to the excessive recommendations/over selling and unprofessional behavior from the front desk boy Dave. We brought a vehicle in for A/C diagnostic, they said the system was empty but they applied vacuum to it and it held so they filled it and it worked but wasn't 100% asked us to drive it to see if it would leak and we could bring it back and they would diagnose the leak. This alone was over $500, included were estimates for recommendations including 1200 to do the compressor/dryer since it wasnt performing up to spec, and then a laundry list of just about everything you can think of from fluid flushes to brakes to steering components to suspension even wipers that were just replaced. And that is where the concern lies. There were suggestions to replace things that had recently been done, Including a serpentine belt that I personally replaced just months prior. So this tells me they basically throw the book at customers just to see if someone is naive enough to approve the work. That's not good business. So we brought it back to have the leak diagnosed since that was part of the original bill, and the new quote for the compressor/dryer is 1700 now that a line will also be replaced. I simply asked Dave to explain how we got from 1200 to 1700 with just the addition of a line and he could not possibly provide me with an explanation. And I soon realized this was because he lacks basic understanding of auto mechanics, but he became very frustrated and visibly upset that I was seeking some clarification. So I had to ask for the keys and leave before the situation became confrontational. My advice to future customers is this, if you want an explanation/breakdown of your estimate do not ask Dave, ask the other gentleman. Also, if you want bare bone recommendations and not a bunch of fluff over sold bull, go to Marty's or Winters. After response from business - oil was checked days before bringing into shop, it wasn't low. Don't try and spin the narrative that the customer wasn't expecting this "routine inspection" that you guys "provide" as if you're doing someone a favor. If you're suggesting things that weren't even honestly inspected AS EVIDENCE BY MULTIPLE ITEMS THAT ARE BRAND NEW THAT WERE SUGGESTED TO BE REPLACED, HOW DO TOU STAND BY THIS??? It's simply a blind barrage of suggestions to see what sticks because you're preying on lay people who won't question anything. Also, this is very obvious that you function this way, because when someone asks questions your desk boy gets up in arms. Pretty obvious what is going on here. This is simply a "business", that does not serve the community that supports said "business", and that is a shame.... isn't it?

Advantage Auto is the only mechanic shop I will ever take my car to. They are honest, trustworthy, and never try to take advantage of their customers. They don’t push extra work I don’t need — instead, they clearly explain what needs to be done right away and what can wait, and they let me decide without any pressure. Their work is top quality, their prices are fair and reasonable, and I always leave feeling confident my car is in the best hands.

I paid Linton $1,500 upfront to fix my engine. He told me the engines I provided didn’t work but they came from a reputable 4-star company that’s been in business over 10 years. My car was drivable when I brought it in. After he worked on it, it was left undrivable, with parts unplugged, engine bars removed, and key components missing. When I took it to another mechanic, I showed them the receipts and parts I had purchased for the repair. The new mechanic pointed out that some of the old parts were still on the car meaning the new parts I paid for were never installed. That raised serious concerns: Did Linton keep the new parts for personal use and just take the money? I asked for a refund, and he only gave back $400 despite doing no real work and leaving my car in worse condition. I lost $1,100 and had to pay another shop to replace my engine properly. As a teacher with no second income, this was financially and emotionally devastating. I trusted him because he worked in a shop but that trust was a costly mistake. Please get a second opinion if you’ve had work done by Linton or plan to. I’m now requesting the remaining $1,100 refund, which is more than fair considering the damage and dishonesty. Don’t let this happen to you.

Very reliable and great mechanical skills on hand. I always get taken care of no matter what challenges my vehicles throw at them. There is night key drop as well and loaner vehicles if needed (which I usually always utliize). They don't complain about my mechanical, electrical, cosmetic interior and exterior issues and they never suggest that I go to a dealership. My vehicles are my business offices so I have to depend on top notch professionalism and Advantage Auto Service clearly meets that criteria. Thank you for keeping me on the road in a timely fashion throughout all these years. Dependable, thorough inspection reports, and reasonably priced for the work that is offered and the services available. ?

Bryan and the team at Advantage took such good care of me. I had my Mazda in for the AC blowing hot in the fall. The communication was great (via txt), they included a multi-point inspection and got the car back to me the same day. They were able to recharge my AC and added a dye to identify any leaks. Bryan had me come back this spring (free of charge) to see if they could find a leak and every is still working great. Would recommend Advantage to family and friends.

Advantage does a great job of providing a complete review of what they recommend and what they feel is really needed. It helps to decide what I should get done and what can possibly wait. The staff is very courteous and friendly which makes getting car repairs done a better experience.

I had a wonderful experience with Advantage Auto Service. I can’t express how helpful and friendly Scott, Mike, and the entire staff were. The mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and very professional. There was no pressure to any helpful suggestions on maintenance items that I gladly accepted. Their digital work order and billing system is state of the art and as easy as it gets. Scott’s honestly is what made me give his shop a try though. Small businesses pricing with quality craftsmanship is what you’ll experience here. I suggest you give them a try for your next service. I’ll be back for mine for sure.

First time going to Advantage and I was very impressed. I went in for an oil change and a problem with the washer fluid. Even before my car was serviced, I was given a price breakdown/estimate which doesn’t happen at other places that I’ve been to. They also provide a ride or loaner vehicle if needed. After my car was serviced, I was given a detailed breakdown about other issues that would eventually need to be worked on. This also included the estimated cost of service. Overall, I’m glad that I switched auto shops and will definitely be returning in the future

Outstanding customer service. I can't say enough about the folks at this shop. Brought my older model vehicle in after it failed NJ inspection. Was greeted cordially at the front desk. Explained my problem to Steve. He immediately walked out front with me to perform a quick diagnosis. He provided me a ride home while only essential repairs were made. The next day, he picked me up at my home at exactly the time he said he would. The car was inspected at a very reasonable price. Back at the shop, as a courtesy, he provided me with pictures of issues that could present a problem down the road. he wasn't pushing a sale; he was strictly being informative. Then he informed me that they have free loaner cars if repairs get more extensive. There was nothing more I could have asked for from this shop. They checked every box!

It couldn’t be any easier to maintain your car by just going to Advantage Auto Service! Scheduling is a breeze, drop your car off and put the key in the envelope provided and slide into the key drop. There’s even a way to pay after hours and get your key and drive off! Amazing! While the expert technicians are analyzing your vehicle they take pictures and assess the degree of repairs needed. If it’s ok they say ok! If it’s borderline you decide if you want the work done. And if it’s that bad they’ll tell you with an instant estimate. The team stays in touch with you during the process, by phone or text or both. And when your car is ready Bryan will call you. Let me first start by saying, I didn’t think it was possible for me to be MORE obsessed with my truck. I. Was. Wrong. Took my 08 Tahoe here to get a 6” lift and some 35s. Not only did they absolutely KILL this build, I received a comprehensive detail of my vehicle. What is recommended, what can wait, wait will be coming at me in the near future. Rest assured your vehicle gets ALL of the attention. I look forward to bringing it back now that I’ve gotten it good and broken in! The build itself feels exactly as if GM made it this way off the line. Sturdy, holding up to what is thrown at it, and bonus IT LOOKS SO INSANE. Look at this thing, really look at it. They DID that!! I giggle like a jerk everywhere I go! Lift your truck, get the giggles, these guys are not going to do you wrong.

Very professional, super friendly. As a healthcare worker, Advantage offered free oil change to essential workers. I truly appreciated that . They did an excellent job not only in the servicing my truck, but When I picked the truck up, I could tell it was wiped cleaned to due the pandemic. My interior was spotless. They also checked over the car for any other maintenance that it might need. Great place to do business. Highly recommend Advantage.
