I stopped at this location because they had a synthetic-blend oil available in a convenient 5-gallon container. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Two funnels on the rack were marked at a specific price, but the store refused to honor the posted pricing, stating that the computer rang them up differently. Despite there being a line of customers, the pricing issue was not resolved. Additionally, there was only one employee on the floor, who had to leave the sales area to retrieve printer paper, leaving the store unattended. During that time, several people entered, picked up merchandise, and left without paying. In a strip-mall setting, this seems inefficient and counterproductive. I also noticed that corporate responses to similar complaints appear generic and dismissive. Based on this experience, I have no interest in returning, and the operational issues raise serious concerns about how this location is being managed.

Caveat Emptor! (Buyer beware). I visited this location for a certain product for my 2014 VW Touareg tdi. While the two fellas I spoke with were friendly enough, they offered up a product that, if I hadn’t taken the initiative to question and actually poured into my T-Reg, would have caused damage to my vehicle!!! These days, if you do your own auto maintenance you should know at least a little about your vehicle and not blindly trust any old Joe who works in your local parts place…

Someone told me I was very low (emergency!) on oil. I walked in like a deer in headlights begging for advice. The GM Brendan came outside, checked my oil, helped me buy the right grade and size container for a short-term top up fix and funnel, helped pour the oil himself, and checked to make sure everything was OK. Above and beyond customer care and service at this store. Kudos.

Jake is awesome! I know how to change my own wiper blades, but I have had issues in the past and scratched my windshield or gotten confused over which piece connects to my particular wiper. In seconds, Jake not only picked out the correct wipers for my husband‘s car, but he also installed them even faster. This isn’t the first time I’ve come for this and had a great experience, so I had to give them and Jake a shout out! Thank you again, AAP and Jake! Don’t forget to tip!!! It’s not mandatory, but it’s a kind gesture.

This store, specifically Toni Smith, Michael Reyes and JC Ghiorzo, is the best! I was stuck at 8:30 at night because my car battery unexpectedly died. It was so bad that there was no chance to even jumpstart it. Toni, Michael and JC went above and beyond, even while encountering several difficulties, to help my step-father purchase a battery for me-all while preparing to close for the evening. They saved me from leaving my car on a public street overnight or having to pay for it to get towed back to my home. I cannot thank them enough. I will definitely be recommending Advanced Auto Parts of Ramsey to everyone.

Sitting in front of the store that’s supposed to be open at 9 AM it’s now 9:30 am and doors are still locked and no one answers the phone. Also six other people waiting with us not good. This place is a terrible people’s time is precious, and we all have better things to do to wait for people who oversleep and don’t open the store on time. Leaving now to go to the competition. Looks like the other six are joining me as well. What a waste.

Ordered a part for my car. Ordered it based off the vin and the make and model. I then checked it with a store associate. Confirmed the system shows it’s the right part for my car. Went to install it…wrong part. Their system says parts are exact fit for your vehicle but its incorrect.

As a patron in dire need of a new battery, my day couldn’t have been any worse. My car left me stranded on the side of the road with a battery that produced 0 Volts. Luckily the battery was covered under warranty and I spoke to an agent via customer service prior to my arrival. Relieved to have to finally made it to the store I was encountered by rude and condescending behavior by staff that worked there. Especially after I’ve explained to them what was going on. I was then met by the general manager who looked disheveled and unprofessional in appearance approach me in a very confrontational way. He was quick to dismiss us out of the store without us explaining our side of the story. Once we’ve challenged him he was quick to throw a tantrum and immediately told us to leave. As a American citizen am I not right to stand up for myself regardless of setting? This was simply outrageous and it diminishes your core values as a reputable institution. I had to pay a tow truck to come pick up my car how appalling.

The service here was just plainly outrageous. The general manager definitely has a few screws loose and flew off the handle when policy was challenged on a car battery that was still within warranty. I've have worked in retail, Healthcare and in the military service for years and I have never treated anyone as poorly as this guy treated us. I would not return to this establishment anymore.

I use this store all the time and you have to order online to get any discount compared to just walking in the front door. Did an online order for some wipers, all showing in stock and ready in 30 minutes. After placing order, got a call that they are out of stock and only option was to drive an hour round trip to Bayonne. No other alternatives offered so they hung up on me and cancelled my order. Good luck to you, my business is going elsewhere.

i would like to start by saying i have 40 years fixing cars and am still working at a dealership . was working on a neighbors car and had to go to another store to get the part cause of location only . i then suspected i recieved the wrong part and went to ramsey location to double check before doing the job . they said yes it was correct and started that evening . well i was screwed , car on the lift and went back to ramsey and looked for help . they had no sympathy and then sold me the correct one for 50 dollars more . i asked manager for help with pricing and said he cant . showed him email coupons and said no ! i paid cause i needed the part. the night manager is no manager and should not be a manager . no care for who i was or the company i worked for or customer retention . yeah you got 50 dollars today but lost because i do this everyday .will not go to this place again .newer guy behind the counter was helpful . then the manager asked me if it was a hard job . really try doing it ! terrible expierence !

This 5 star review is only possible due to the current management. I have watched that place go to hell for a while. If they hire anymore delinquents or fire/move any of the current staff, I can promise that this review is void. That commercial woman has kept that place together while their corporate was sitting on their thumbs and blaming her for not being better.. by HERSELF. Advance, I hope you read this and realize that treating your employees like they're the problem and your hands are clean (when you refuse to hire anyone other than liars and thieves) is ridiculous.

Needed a not so common aux battery for my Jeep - their online ordering system said in stock, but after I ordered and called to confirm before picking it up they said it wasn't... But before I had even called, Brett the manager had already called around to find what I needed and had it on a truck to the store within a few hours. Its rare to find anyone who actually cares about the customer experience anymore. THANK YOU!

I walked in to see a guy mouthing off the someone behind the desk and saying “this is gonna get bigger”. She was calmly explaining whatever he was stating didn’t match with what she was showing in her system and other systems online she also researched for him. He asked her to come out to see his high beams work and low beams not, she said she could see from inside. He proceeds to go outside and flashes both lights working. He didn’t even come back to apologize, just drove off, and then called corporate on her! She ended up helping me, couldn’t find the part I needed asap, so helped me locate it elsewhere. That’s what customer service is all about. Thanks Charlotte!

If I can rate this store a 0 I will. I’ve been coming here recently and everyone here is lazy except the one lady at the register with the long hair. She doesn’t smile but I can tell it’s because she’s all alone and seems like she has to do every single thing in the store. The store manager half of the times doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. Just very sad and unprofessional place ! Will never recommend any parent to apply for a job at this store ! It’s sad to see a woman doing all the work that a man is supposed to do.

Very helpful staff. Just needed a few bits and ends, and some new wiper blades and I was in and out in under 15 minutes! Would absolutely reccomend this location if you need to grab something quick for a project or something. The staff weren't at all phased by the list of seemingly random items I purchased, and even lended some advice for the project I was working on!

The store is very neat and clean but the customer service is impeccable. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. My husband wasn’t sure about the engine oil that our car required hence the sales man came to our car even though that wasn’t required and told us which one we might need and came out for the second time to help us with pouring it into the car.that was a total unexpected service and we should have given a tip but we didn’t have it on us but he totally deserved 5 star rating!

The store itself is not bad, there is good selection and the prices are reasonable. I was looking for a tire pressure gage and they had about 20 different varieties all of various ranges and types, which is better than I can say for most stores. That being said i feel that the store is understaffed because to buy 1 item it took about 10 minutes plus there were two people working the line. This seems unreasonable to me. I think they should hire more cashiers to help expedite lines and provide customer service for wandering customers. Not a great experience here.
