Great service. Knowledgeable mechanics with a timely turn around. I’ve brought me and my wife’s car here every time, 07 Camry; o2 and MAF sensor issues and check engine light and 02 pathfinder; serpentine belt issues and suspension issues , and they have always fixed the issues from accurate diagnosis to a complete fix. Would 10/10 recommend

I bought a classic Jeep CJ-7 with several smaller mechanical issues that needed attention. I initially took it to a shop in Fair Lawn that claimed to work on classic cars — only for them to later backpedal and tell me to take it to a Jeep restoration specialist. Needless to say, I was frustrated and disappointed, especially since that meant driving almost an hour away to get the work done.
Thankfully, someone recommended Tom’s Service Center — just 10 minutes from me — and I decided to give them a shot. I’m so glad I did!
Dave and Luigi immediately diagnosed all the issues and were genuinely puzzled as to why the other shop told me the Jeep needed a specialist. As they put it, it’s a basic mechanical vehicle — nothing complicated.
Not only did they fix everything, but they had the Jeep ready within three days. Fast, honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with.

Always fair and honest assessments on my car and work that needs to done. They never push services that "may be need" or "may be beneficial ". They are upfront with what is wrong and needs to be done. I have never experienced an issue with any service received. I would highly recommend this business.

Best mechanic around. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Being a female and going to a mechanic is always nerve-racking. But not here. They answer all of my questions and concerns. They are fast and consistent. I wouldn’t trust my families cars To any other mechanic!!!

We’ve been taking our car to Tom’s since we moved to the area in May of 2017. They always provide great service and their prices are more than fair. Unlike other mechanic shops, they’ve never tried to up-sell us. I would recommend them to anyone!
Don't let the small shot fool you. These guys know their auto and can predict what might happen when repairing one thing and tell you what you need in order to keep your car in running order. Professional, down to earth, no fancy printouts like the dealerships do. Quality work. Highly recommend for peace of mind on your car!!!
I had a scheduled appointment on June 20, 2022 and drove over 15 miles one-way to have my 1993 GMC TYPHOON serviced and arrived to find the lot completely full with vehicles and impossible to park. I told one of the employees there that I had an appointment which he was aware of. He suggested that I come back the following day since they were so busy. I have been a good customer of Tom's Service Center for many years, but I found this to be totally unacceptable. Their mechanics are good, but the guy who does the scheduling of appointments needs to be re-trained about not overbooking, especially when a customer is driving a distance. I decided that it is in my best interest to no longer use this company especially since I learned that Tom who always ran a tight ship is now an absentee owner who no longer resides in NJ. There are too many other GOOGLE-rated excellent auto mechanics out there that would be more than happy to have my business.
Such a friendly environment, with friendly personnel. Their prices are very fair, and they keep to their time promises. Highly recommend as a great local shop.
It's a full service repair center, so they do everything. I am not sure about transmission repair, but they service it. They are nice, and when you get something done you do not have to take it back over and over. It's fixed! Done right!

I have gone there for years and have had the best service of any automotive service center since working in north Jersey for the last 10 years. They are friendly, informative and hands down the best prices for any issue I've had with any vehicle I've owned. My wife literally took her car for the first time today and they have given pricing hundreds of dollars less than any location we went to. Will always bring our vehicles there!
I've been going to Tom's since I moved to Bogota over ten years ago. In the past, I've found them to be competent, and personable. However, recently, they brought in a new guy (estimator), who is not very personable, and seems to me, incompetent. He looks to charge the most money for your job, and doesn't appear to understand the software he's using to do his estimates, nor the mechanics of the job, and comes up with very high estimates for simple jobs. On top of that, when I tried to make an appointment yesterday, the mechanic was very rude to me. I won't be taking my cars here any more.
I am a shade tree "mechanic" very hesitant to use a mechanic. on a friend's recommendation, I went to see Tom. Not only did I feel comfortable doing business with him, his entire staff of mechanics are professional but personable guys who talk WITH their customers. As long as I live in Bergen County, I will never go to another shop.

AND THAT IMPRESSED ME
AND BECAUSE OF THAT NO ONE WORKS ON MY VAN BUT TOM
