End of August my husbands MINI started having clutch issues. Our usual garage was busy and we needed the car fixed by October 16th, 2025. Lucas at Triple H, he assured us he was a BMW mechanic and could fix the clutch no problem. We told him about our timeline and he assured us he would have the car back to us before then. We dropped the MINI off September 9. Three weeks went by without any word from Lucas. The one and ONLY time Lucas called my husband was to tell him that when he took it for a test drive to diagnose the issue (after 3 weeks of having the car) he didn’t have the hood latched and it flew up crinkling the hood. He assured us that he would replace the hood free of charge but that unfortunately it wouldn’t be done in time for our MINI event which was on October 16th. Lucas never called my husband after the one phone call, we always had to call. Every time we called, he said he was working on it and would be done with it soon. We go into November, we call, he says he’s gotten into his busy season with car undercoatings and that he would try to get it done soon. We told him that this car never sees the salty winter roads. He said that when it was done, he would put it on HIS flatbed and deliver it to us. For the hood, he said he was buying a MINI OEM hood and then sending it to a body shop to have it painted and fitted to the car. He said he had replaced the master cylinder and also the slave cylinder and thought he had the clutch issue fixed. Fast forward to December 3rd. Again never one phone call from Lucas. I stopped to actually see the car. His excuse for it not being done was that it was again, in his busy season and he was busy doing other things and he would “get to it soon”. His thing was “it’s inside and protected and not getting snowed on.” However when I saw it on December 3rd, the window was down and the interior was covered in shop dust/dirt etc. He also said that he didn’t have an estimate bill yet but we were looking at over $1000 for the clutch. I get foggy on the actual dates at this point but after the first of the year, I believe February, called him again. He said that the body shop had painted the hood the wrong color and it needed to be fixed “he didn’t realize there were so many different greens”. Who the hell paints a car without the paint code? Another month goes by, again we call. He admits that the car/hood wasn’t ever at a body shop, he was having a friend do the painting for him and he had painted the hood the wrong color yet again. He was “sick of this car and having it over his head” and was going to file an insurance claim and “get it out of his shop”. Another several weeks go by, several phone calls with my husband instructing him the steps to file the insurance claim, more delays because he was “waiting on a flat bed” to get it to Jasmine Autobody. Even though he had told us he had a flatbed and would deliver the car. So many stupid excuses. The car finally ends up at Jasmine Auto body and from September 9th to now, we finally have the car back. He didn’t charge us for the clutch repairs, he replaced the battery. That’s not the point at all. This isn’t about the hood getting crinkled. That’s an accident that could happen. This is about his lack of communication, lying to us, stringing us along, horrible business practice. I do not have any nice words for Lucas at Triple H Service. As a small business owner, you need to treat your customers better. We would have rather you tell us the truth instead of lying about timelines and who was helping you with the car, your abilities, etc. How the hell do you expect to survive when you run your business this way. We are so glad this nightmare is over. No this isn’t my husband’s only form of transportation. And yes, it would have been sitting in the garage after October anyway. This is about being LIED to over and over. People that know us, know our cars are more than just getting from point A to B. We put a lot of time and money into our cars. It’s our hobby. DO NOT ever go to Lucas at Triple H Service in Plainfield NH.

Bad bad bad experience by mini cooper community member who had their car there for clutch fix and the mechanic destroyed their mini hood. What a joke this place must be.
