Excellent service today from the guys at the Somersworth NH store. I bought wipers and they installed them for me! They were super nice and respectful of my truck!!! It wasn't an easy job but they seemed up for the challenge and were able to change my wipers. Thank you guys!

I purchased a rear windshield wiper from Autozone in Portsmouth but the clerk was alone at the store and could not help install it. I told him that would be okay, I'd figure it out. I could not. I had the wiper in the jeep and stopped at this store hoping they might help. Initially, the older man gave me grief saying that I could get help in Portsmouth. I told him about the clerk there being alone and he said that he could out back and leave the other clerk "alone". I have been told that he was just giving me a hard time, but a hard time is NOT what I want when I'm seeking help. I perceived him to be rude and condescending. As a manager, I would certainly note it on his annual review. Jeff, on the other hand, was extremely helpful. He offered assistance, double checked that the Portsmouth store had sold me the right product. He watched a quick YouTube video for the product and was able to quickly put the blade on the adapter and reinstall it on the back window. Employ more Jeffs and fire the other guy (or at least admonish him - seriously, I almost walked out never to return.)

I own a complicated windshield wiper car. It took a team to get them on and off. They must have spent 30 minutes replacing the old ones. They never lost patience, were thorough and kind and very professional. Thank you for saving me $100's if I had needed to go to the dealer. Very satisfied! Will be back for other automotive items!

Today i went to autozone Somersworth NH to change battery. I never change the battery before. Jeff who is the the store managerr help me a lot frm the beginning until finish. He help me to change the battery as well. Now my car running smooth again. Thank to you Jeff. I really appreciated for all your suggestions, helps and kindness. He is an honest person as well. GBU

Professional and quick service. Joaquin taught me how to install my new headlights. Easy enough to do myself next time but I was thankful he never balked to help even though he was on a deadline.

Tried to pick up a rear wiper. First, I was sold an open package. I then tried to put said wiper on, and though their computer said it was the correct one, it didn't fit. Went back in to ask if he was sure they gave me the right one, at which point both employees tried to force the wiper on. Was then told I needed to remove the entire wiper arm to replace the blade. Asked for my money back. Idiots. Don't bother coming here, the professionalism and knowledge of the staff is now non-existent. I went to Walmart and got what I needed from them.

Horrible needed help with a part and they didn't move from behind the counter and then I got the wrong thing and brought it back and couldn't return it with my receipt because they supposedly didn't have enough money in the register

I never actually made it there for battery but I should have. I've heard from two people since that they have a whole cart so that you have all the equipment necessary to change out the battery yourself, which is far more complicated these days than it was when I got my first vehicle. Nice going diy store!

Been a customer of Autozone for years across the country, never met a rude staff front desk ( back in May of 2024) like the person who came out to do a diagnostic test for my car. Start giving me nonsensical excuses why my car male electric plug won’t click on the reading with condescending rude discriminatory tone. Left the shop and went next door to O’Reilly auto shop in the same city ( Somersworth) and they were able to diagnose the problem with no issues.

I had to replace my battery on a very tight budget. I hadn't done it myself so on my current vehicle yet. After a tough Monday at work the last thing I wanted to do was change my battery in the cold. I appreciated this service so much! The gentleman was so polite, great conversation as he worked, and done within 15 min. Thank you so much!

Saved me big time-the free scan report when my check engine light came on was a great worry which they lessened-a leak in the valve cover gasket on the report led me to the tire store near me. I was relieved when the manager revealed "90 % of the cars on the road have this issue" and also saw no signs of a leak on my Focus. The other issue which does cause check engine is/are engine variable timing solenoid-all of which I am having done today 2 days after at Durham Village Garage, half the cost there over the tire store. Although the light went off and this would cost $180. to diagnose and the tire store would not do the repair without the diagnosis. Had the same experience with the purge valve in the tank, the Ford dealer would not do the work without the check engine light illuminated so I asked for a smoke test to confirm the issue. I recently went in and spent over $400 on new brake pads and rotors for my 2020 Subaru WRX. Assuming they are the experts, I bought the ones they picked out for me that they said would fit. When my husband and I went to change them out, admittedly, we messed up. We put the rear rotors on the front. As I went to back out of the driveway, we could tell immediately something was wrong. We stopped and figured out our mistake, but a nice scratch was already on each rotor. It wasnt going to impede function however, so no big deal. As we start to put them on the rear where they belong, only to find that they didnt fit. Autozone gave us the wrong rotors. My husband took them back and the manager basically told him too bad. They were scratched so they wouldn't take them back. I understand we messed up, but we wouldn't need to try and return them had they given me the proper ones to begin with. Whatever, we buy new ones and eat the cost. He get back home and realize they gave us the wrong brake pads too. He has to go back up there a second time, which by now had eaten up a huge chunk of our day. Despite the fact that the brake pads were new in the box, and my husband had the same credit card that I purchased them on, the manager refused to let my husband return them because he didn't have the reciept on him. He had the printed order sheet autozone had given me, but apparently that didn't count. We had to purchase new brake pads. We found the receipt and will be returning them today... but moral of this story - GO TO NAPA INSTEAD. This fiasco turned a simple project into a 6 hour ordeal and we lost the money on those rotors. Boo Autozone, boo. 👎

I honestly feel that they need to hire more people I walked in there one day to only one person on running the store by himself when on other days they have over 3 people this isn't the first time I've walked in on this. poor guy looked burnt out by the end of the day they should really take more care of there workers and not leave them their to fend for themselves

Got my check engine light checked for free, the staff were so helpful and gave me advice so I knew what to ask the mechanic and how to make sure I wasn’t getting bullied into paying for anything I didn’t need! Really appreciated their time

I always get excellent service for every visit to AutoZone stores until this afternoon I went to the Rochester AutoZone to replace my car battery, wipers and one headlight bulb. This visit turns out to be a nightmare. The manager in this store, everybody called him “Kevin”, is super mean and rude, not only to the customers but also to his employee. In addition, he is super lazy. He blamed the boy who helped me to replace the headlight bulb and battery, and refused to replace the wipers I bought from his store, so I have to drive to Somersworth AutoZone to replace them. If everybody behaves like Kevin, mean to customers and his colleagues, AutoZone will close soon. I will never recommend Rochester AutoZone to my colleagues and friends, since Kevin provided a terrible service to customers!

Went to get my battery tested because I thought it wasn't holding a charge and they tested it at no cost to confirm my battery was bad. And they also gave a good recommendation on an interior leaner that wasn't to glossy. Very helpful people.

I was helped by both Jesse and the store manager. I needed some bolts for my alternator and they helped me find everything that I needed. The employees make sure each customer is helped equitably, regardless of how busy it gets, very impressive customer service.

One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had the displeasure of enduring. Called to verify they had a part. Robin said they had just one left. She said she would set it aside for me to pick up and that the store closes at 8pm. That part was fine. But then I drove 35 minutes to pick up the part. When I walk in, there’s a man in a fur winter hat standing behind the counter. He couldn’t be bothered to look up or ask if I needed assistance. I then spot a young girl behind the counter. When sees me approaching, she clearly is beyond perturbed that I’m present. She asks, in a angry manner, if I need help. I say “yes”, and explain that we called in earlier and spoke to Robin. She said she would set aside the part I needed since there was only one left. She snapped back, saying all the fuses were in aisle one. I reiterate that there was only one, and that Robin set it aside for me. After rolling her eyes, I see her glance over at the man wearing the fur hat. He lazily flips open a few sliding doors on the shelves behind him, enough that I can see a lot of items on the shelf. He then shrugs and says it’s not there. Didn’t bother to move any of the larger items to actually verify it was not there. He then tells me that all fuses are in aisle one. I reiterate that there was only one in the store and it was set aside by Robin. When I asked when Robin would be in next, he laughed at me and said he couldn’t give out that info. When I asked when a manager would be in next, he finally reveals to me that he is a manager. Since he clearly had no interest to assist me in any way, I took my business elsewhere. I strongly urge you to shop elsewhere.

The guys here are great. Very helpful and courteous. I had to have my check engine light diagnosed today and they did it in just a couple minutes, no problem. Thankfully it was an issue I already knew about and is scheduled to have repaired by the dealership. They have a good selection of parts and accessories as well and are more than happy to help you find whatever you're looking for. I highly recommend you shop here for your auto parts needs.

A big THANK YOU to employee Earl for a helping hand this morning. I came into the store with battery problems on my truck. A quick diagnostic test showed the battery was bad. Earl efficiently changed the battery with a new one, did another test to make sure the alternator was working correctly and got me on my way. Many thanks for a job well done!

Order a wheel bearing on a Saturday morning. Employee tells me that it will be in later that night. I go Sunday afternoon to pick up my wheel bearing. A different employee than who I previously dealt with says I’ll grab it. Reaches on the shelf behind him and grabs one. No slip or anything attached to the bearing. I told him it’s not right, and that it’s not even the brand I ordered. He says that’s the only one we have. I said why don’t you look it up and see if the part I need is in the store. Finally after 10 minutes with this guy he gets some help. Another 10 minutes with the new guy he says I don’t know 14 times, finally figured out that the bearing wasn’t in the store. 1 hour later I get a phone call that the bearing is in. I wish Advanced Auto never went out of business. This store hires anyone and everyone that has no interest in working.

Very helpful and spent the extra time trying to fight with a head light light bulb that just didn't want to lock into place. The staff was very polite and friendly. I really appreciated their efforts and willingness to help me. I was thankful that they did it for me because the first light bulb was defective and if I would've gone home and tried to do it myself I would not have been able to lock it in. Took about 20 minutes even with the defective bulb causing issues and I was on my way! All for under $10!
