Did a deal with Brian on a non salvage boat. Was great to deal with. Came back with an issue and he rectified it. Would work with him again. Happy customer.
Went to purchase a trailer, was told it needed a little work could take as is or for a few bucks more they would fix it, was told could have it ready in a couple weeks, told no rush don't need until Nov, now being told be lucky if it is ready by spring, really disappointed now we are back to square one, need a trailer by Nov
Very happy with my purchase extremely fair pricing and would definitely recommend calling to see what they have. In my current job I will be sending some people their way currently going tiny house and my purchase. Should help fuel my generator rather than me fight with moving and refilling the gas tank constantly will in use??????
Glad Keith is here, needed a replacement outdrive in a pinch and he had one that worked! Why buy new when you can save some substantial money here, Keith is really friendly and knowledgeable.very responsive and easy to deal with.
I purchased a Mercury 60 HP outboard motor from KMs Boat Salvage and after having it delivered I found that Mr. Moulton had FALSELY advertised the item.
1- He indicated it was a 1991 unit and it is actually a 1990 and there is a significant model change between the years.
2- He advertised that it was oil injected and it is NOT oil injected.
3- He said it ran. It is impossible to have run as the wiring to the starter was reversed and the starter ran backwards and the electronics would not work.
4- After correcting those errors it was determined that it only ran on one of three cylinders and required a new power pack control unit.
5- He had indicated what the compression was and in fact it is about 20% lower than what he advertised.
6- After finally getting those items corrected it was determined that the water pump impeller had to be replaced.
7- He had shown us a video of this motor running but would not give us a copy so that we could verify that it was in fact this motor.
The only thing I can say at this point about Mr. Moulton is that he did in fact offer to buy it back, but at the price I payed, without any compensation for the parts and expenses that I incurred to make it a usable motor. The comment I have is the standard "BUYER BE WARE" and verify what he advertise before doing business with him. I personally would not purchase from him again.
