Wish I had good things to say, but I don't. Here are my experiences with this shop:
1. I had a rattling noise underneath my car that I thought was the heat shield coming loose. I asked them to check it out, and Cory "banged around underneath and didn't find anything" and said my car "didn't have a heat shield" Fast forward a few months later when I was getting routine maintenance on my car, and 2 broken brackets were found that were to hold the heat shield on, which was causing the rattling noise.
2. I was out of the area for 6 months, with my car being run about once a week. When I returned, I called and asked when was a good time to bring my car in to have it looked at. The other mechanic that works there said he looked at it and "nothing was wrong with the car other than the key battery was dead" I said I could handle replacing that battery since I had some at home. He ignored me, replaced the battery, and charged me for it. 2 days later, my brakes were grinding and metal on metal. He clearly did not actually look at my car, and caused a serious safety issue.
I have been going to prices for the last 20+/- years. I always feel comfortable taking my vehicles to this garage. Honest hard-working and reasonable....
I've had my cars serviced at Price's since I moved to the area in the early 1990's, first by Jim then later after he retired by Cory and company. I couldn't be happier with the service and cost-savings they've provided in all these years. My only regret is I moved out of the area a year ago and it's no longer convenient to bring my cars here anymore.
The woman in the front office is nog nice at all! I thought maybe she was having a bad day, but she is actually like that all the time! It’s too bad because they do really good work, but she is too much!
Scheduled an inspection I couldn’t of been more happy with the service I got. Customer service was incredible, and the mechanic was very open and transparent about what my car needed. They were so patient and even stayed open late to make sure I could take my car home the same day. If you’re in Newmarket and need car service, I beg you please come to Price’s garage I promise you they’re the best in town and your car is in great hands.
I was looking for an open day to have an inspection done and I was met with questions that were confusingly worded. They were condescending by telling me I was causing the confusion. I was able to schedule an inspection with Midas with no hassle at all.
Took my car in for an estimate on repairs that the dealership recommended. The technician gave me his honest opinion that I would be fine without making those repairs, and he didn’t even charge me for his labor. I’ve gone here for inspections on both of our family vehicles. They’ve treated me fairly and that’s why I’ll keep going back.
My family has been going to Price's for decades. Almost 20 years ago I was a kid taking my first car to them; my parents had been going there for many years before that. 17 years and a few cars later, I still only want to go only one place for automotive work-right here. They do great work at very fair prices, they don't try to needlessly up-sell, and they're always extremely honest about everything. Basically everything you could want in a mechanic. Jim always ran his garage that way and Cory has continued the tradition. They are simply the best.
Great garage. I was in need of an alignment of my headlights, they did a great job at a very fair price. Will definitely use this garage in the future.
Hard working bunch of people here. Straight shooting. They make every reasonable effort to take care of their customers needs with out over selling, or claiming you need something you don't.
The work they do here is excellent, everyone is friendly and helpful. They are concerned about your vehicle and take great care in servicing it as needed.
