Long story short my husband brought his 2012 Harley Street glide w/thundermax here to swap from a Bassani true duel exhaust to a Vance & Hines 2 into1. He paid $250 and left there with his old exhaust back on. The wife is a real peach too. I heard the crazy attitude and tone she had before she hung up on him after making excuses why they couldn't figure out how to do what they said they could do. Go anywhere but here!!!
I needed tires put on for Mondays ride I called sat an was told if I can make it there in a hr he will do them today I made it he made it happen great guy with a great aditude will bring all my work there
Buyer Beware, Liars and Scammers
I saw an engine on eBay for my VT1100 Honda in April 2024 and contacted Ricks Motorcycle to confirm the 1998 model would fit my 1995 model bike prior to purchasing the engine. I was told the engine would work for my bike by Sara, and I purchased the engine direct without going through eBay (big mistake). Once I received the engine, I delivered it to my mechanic who immediately pulled the spark plugs and found they were severely oil fouled. I contacted Sara and was told by owner (Bill) to run a compression test. My mechanic ran a compression test and leak down and the engine failed both tests. I contacted them and even sent video of leak down test; you could easily hear air blowing out the crankcase in the video. I was then told to prep engine for return, which I did promptly. That was early June 2024. Engine sat in my driveway awaiting freight carrier and now its end of September. I kept calling and leaving messages over several months and nobody returned my calls. In my last brief conversation with Sara in August 2024, she told me they have been trying to switch freight carriers and this is why nobody has been in touch. It’s been more than a month since my last conversation and I have tried to call them several more times with no response. Engine is now at the junk yard where it belongs.
I never review anyone but just wanted to say how nice everyone was at the shop. I am usually treated like I am bothering people these days when I need work done on my toys but these folks acted like they appreciated me being there. John took the time to explain everything he did to fix my rare ‘55 Harley which a lot of shops turned my business away. They run a business like it should be run which is hard to find these days. Wow! As a left leg amputee, I was looking to get back on a motorcycle, I bought a Harley tri glide trike John was fantastic! He installed a Pingel electronic shifter, bumper guard, fluid changes, checked my bike over and a State inspecrtion. John gave me some helpfull ideas to assist with my disability. I was more than pleased with the price. I would recommend them doing your work they certainly earned all mine in the future! Thanks for everything!!! Rick Theriault
I’m very sorry to say that I had a catastrophic encounter with this business. They picked up my Bmw k 1200 lt and had it about 15 months without being able to do the starter replacement. I told them it was a difficult task to undertake but they felt confident they could do it. Many calls regarding the part that they never ordered left me no choice but to have Bmw dealer do it. They gave me the refund of $1000 however the radio/ tank cover was missing according to the dealer and John said he left it at the door. There’s nothing I can say with regards to who ended up with a $ 350 part. No one to blame but myself I guess I’m just too trusting of people being a Christian as I neglected to take photos when picking up the bike and parts. I will retract this if I get the part back
So far have been taken care of excellently and haven’t even dropped the bike yet. This is the only company that has answered and said they could do the work necessary to get my bike running and I appreciate them
I was referred to Rick’s and so happy with the referral. I have consigned two bikes for sale with them and had the bike I ride tuned up for the season. Sarah has been very helpful with the consignment process - one sold, one to go. John in service is very knowledgeable, the work is first rate and the costs are very reasonable. They are great to deal with, responsive and professional- couldn’t ask for better service all around.
First time customer. They picked up my bike from my house becuase it wasnt running right. They were able to find an inlet air leak, sealed it up, cleaned, and adjusted the carb. Parts were very reasonable as well as rates. Ending up keeping the bike a bit longer to make sure that everything was okay. Road it around for a bit and brought it back to have everything checked again, runs like a top now. I recommend giving this shop a try before heading over to Harley. They are knowledgeable, reasonable, and very helpful.
First time customer brought my bike to the guys at ricks motorcycle for winter storage. The cost for that not only was very good but they give you a much more lenient window and more time storing the bike then other places obviously accounting for the unknown weather pattern of New England. Very convenient that after storage they do oil changes stickers and any other repairs or cosmetic things that you want done to your motorcycle. They put an entire set of new fairings on my bike and did a fantastic job with it the staff is friendly and it appears Ricks is one of the last few shops that puts in high quality work at great prices and has the customers best intentions in mind. Not trying to charge extra or jack up the prices the crew is very trustworthy and can’t say enough from an inspection sticker to engine repairs The crew at Ricks is fantastic.
I have been searching for a quality repair shop that treats my metric custom like all the HD's get treated, and that is Rick's Motorcycle! They are knowledgeable, I was happy with the repair, my bike is fun to ride again, I paid a reasonable price for the repairs and Rick's delivered on time when they said they would! I rate them 5 stars because 5 stars is all I can give.
New location, same friendly service. A little further from my house vs the old shop which gave me an excuse to take an extended ride. These guys are great ? wont go any other shop.
I never post online reviews so that should tell you something. I got my first bike this year and brought it to Rick's for new tires and a general once over. The service was fast, convenient, and friendly and I actually meant to leave a review back then but it slipped my mind. Last week I rode by to ask about the winter storage service but didn't leave any of my information. They had apparently remembered me from my first visit and went out of their way to reach out to let me know that due to unfortunate personal circumstances, they would have to close the shop for a couple days. They didn't want me to be met with closed doors if I had been planning on stopping by to drop my bike off. I think that level of customer service is rare these days and totally blew me away. Its obviously a sign of how this business operates so I would take any negative reviews with a large grain of salt. They've earned a loyal customer in me as long as I continue riding.
2014 Fatboy Lo Just got Fatty out of Drs..... ( Ricks Motorcycle Salem NH..Dr. John) she needed a Heavy duty clutch to go with the upgraded motor work..... pleased to say she is a totally different bike now....shes how Harley-Davidson should build them at the factory.....shes a keeper now.....DONT HESITATE IF YOU NEED WORK DONE!
I went here a second time to get my suzuki m50 serviced for this year's riding season. They did a great job and took the time to go over everything they did to my bike.
I also mentioned that this was a new used bike and they took the time to look it over for me?

Took my KLX 450 to 2 Kawasaki dealers because it ran horrible. They both were happy to clean the carb, charge me and declare it fixed. It wasn't, it was horrid. Took it took Ricks, they broke down the carb and told me there were pieces missing and it was all messed up. I think I bought it used with the messed up carb and the 2 dealers didn't care enough or know enough to fix it. Ricks got it running like a top. its an animal now!!! Thanks.
Great customer service! Sara worked very hard to manage the shipping costs on my purchase of a Honda Rebel exhaust system. They had the best price, and the part itself was in GREAT shape (and as described), especially considering it was OEM from a 1987 bike. Thank you so much for all your help!

Friendly, Courteous, knowledgeable and very accommodating are just a few of the great adjectives they deserve. I was very impressed after they cut down the windshield on my HD. Three years later I return with my second HD to also cut down my windshield and again I was impressed by their attention to detail from the way they answer the phone to the time I arrived. They want to make sure the job will be done to my satisfaction. Thank you for the job well done!!. I recommend this business.
