The service was great! The wood is very high quality. You can also get the "outs" which are cheaper and great for beginners. (The boards with cracks are the outs)

A nice place for artists to get exotic and domestic wood to work with for their projects. The staff is friendly and familiar with artistic as well as industrial uses of wood and offer helpful suggestions. They even enjoy seeing pictures of what you create with the wood you buy. It is a 30 min drive for me and worth every mile.

Goosebay is great and we are lucky to have this sawmill in NH. I am a fairly new woodworker, and this is the first sawmill I’ve ever been too. I asked one of the workers to kind of walk me through and he spent about 10 minutes explaining to me board feet, pricing, certain policies, and showing me around the barn. Everyone at the mill was super friendly and helpful. They also have a pine barn so if you need dimensional lumber you can get it here too.

I needed some custom structural Purlins Milled. I contacted Goosebay Sawmill and the professional staff made it very easy for me to ge exactly what was required for my project. I will be back here for all my lumber needs. I Highly recommend Goosebay Sawmill and Lumber

Best lumber shop I've seen in New England. Great selection including a lot of rift/quarter sawn boards in domestic species that you don't see often including red oak, ash, sycamore, maple, cherry and of course white oak. I dealt with several employees and all were friendly and helpful. I live hours away but I will make an effort to stop by on any road trip.

This is where to go to get hardwoods you won’t find in the big box stores or the local lumber yard. I drive 45 minutes to go here and it’s worth the trip. All kinds of hard woods and exotic woods.

Carl and his staff were extremely helpful. Helped me pick out and load a nice piece a Sitka Spruce for a mast.

Goose bay is always a pleasure. The owners and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They have a large selection of wood species and sheet goods. They customer order if it's available. I ordered heart pine for stair treads due to the width and I had my order in a week's time. I recommend goosbay to every wood worker.

My wife is working from home and it's time for her to have a nice desk. I went to Goosebay today to buy some sample boards so she could choose what kind of wood she likes. They were very helpful and gave me the sample boards at no cost! Can't wait to get started on this project.

Fantastic customer service, selection and price. This was the only place I could find 1/8" luan for my camper in the whole state. I would highly recommend paying them a visit or calling to see if they can help you.

Carl and his family are always very pleasant. The wood here is just fantastic . The assortment , variety and quality excellent. This also is the place to buy exotics. Every time I go there they have something new for me to look at . Today I went in for a piece of pine and maple but ended up with a half a truck full exotics and different live edge slabs. Today was my first time there. I am an amateur woodworker and was a bit overwhelmed on how to buy a good grade of lumber. A fine gentleman talked to me about my project and spent significant time helping me choose the lumber. It is refreshing to have such an experience. I also left spending a lot less than my budget. They have a cool dog who comes to greet you when you arrive. Regular social butterfly. I would give them 100 starts if I had the option. Thanks guys. nice business you have there!

I tend to get intimidated by places like this, where I'm not all that knowledgeable about things (getting there!). The fellow there was extremely helpful and low key, showed me where everything I needed was, and left me to take my time choosing boards. Great selection of woods (including some great live edge pieces), very pleased with the quality, what a treasure to have in the area. Definitely my go to from here on in.

Very HELPFUL and PATIENT staff!!! I was looking for an interesting piece for a small table top on a limited budget. The staff spent quite a lot of time helping me find a nice piece within my price range. Really cool place.
