What a beautiful hotel. Lounge area with bar, and views of the snow capped mountains, was so relaxing. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Small pool, but was also enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again

A perfect spot for our too-short staycation to ride Wildcat for a couple days. Beautiful backdrop, cozy lounge, delicious cocktails, dinner and breakfast. Every staff member was SO kind, everything was so fluid. We had such a pleasant experience and I love that the coffee and tea bar is in the lobby. Don’t skip the hotel restaurant - compliments to the kitchen and waitstaff for our amazing meals!

I was blown away. The pool had a salt water. That fire was great. The bartender was fantastic. The waitress at the restaurant was good. The hotel room was surprisingly awesome

We had an incredible experience during our stay at the Glen House hotel. The location was also perfect. If you’re skiing wildcat mountain I would not recommend any other stay other than the Glen house hotel! The staff was so accommodating, everyone was kind and had a great attitude. If you’re looking for luxury on a budget look no further than this amazing stay.

Loved this place. The location is fantastic, with tons of cross-country skiing right near the property, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful.

Great hotel, however the main reason I am leaving this review is the wonderful staff, Yvete was absolutely wonderful and truly went above and beyond to help me with my reservation. Yvete is truly one of the greatest hospitality professionals !

I always love spending time at the glen house. They have a cozy lobby area with great views and a fire place to keep the space warm. While the front desk wasn’t as welcoming the staff at the restaurant made up for it and were extremely friendly. It’s the perfect place to get away and adore the beautiful mountains.

Great hotel! Seriously awesome folks! Katy is amazing, and her cookies are delicious! Thank you for a wonderful Christmas away from home.

Wanted to book and saw online they use down pillows so called in advance to see what other options they had available for someone with a feather allergy. Zero attempts to accommodate. Very disappointed because it seemed like a nice hotel.

Excellent hotel. Between the service, food , room, cleanliness and amenities it was all five stars. My husband, two boys and myself will definitely be back again for another stay. We decided to stay somewhere closer to Santa’s village so it’s a shorter drive to Santa’s village in the morning.

I booked this hotel for 2 days arriving on January 2nd 2025 departing on January 5th 2025. I made the booking through Expedia where it clearly stated that it was fully refundable up to December 30th. I had a change of plans so I canceled the booking on December 1st. I get an email from the Glen house saying My refund was going to be processed minus a $30 transaction fee. I was very puzzled and I called them about it and they said that any cancellations no matter how far in advance or automatically charged a $30 fee. After some back and forth they realized that I had booked through Expedia so they couldn't enforce the $30 fee. This was another example of why I canceled my booking with them and decided to go with another property. When you read the reviews, especially some of the one, two and three star reviews, you really get a sense of the lack of value at this hotel. For instance, there is a $20 per room per night resort fee. This fee apparently is for the use of the pool which many have complained is much smaller in person, not very hot, cloudy and poorly maintained water. Apparently they also provide a newspaper even though most people get their information from their cell phone. There has also been complaints about the restaurant and bar in terms of both service, quality of food and the fact that the bar closes early with the restaurant. The three star reviews are very revealing in that they do mention the the hotel is in a good location with mountain views but there are problems either with noise, closures for wedding, and overall disappointment. I'm glad I canceled my reservation and I would caution others to read the reviews carefully for insight before booking. It doesn't seem to be a good value for the high price that they charge.

Had stayed here once before, in August 2020, and our one-night stay here ending today was pleasant. The rooms are well-appointed, with a big TV and many stations (not always the case with hotels), a great shower, and comfortable bedding and beds -- which a couple above seemed to really enjoy. On that point, would recommend a white noise app or machine. We had dinner in the bar. It's nice, though service was overwhelmed on a Friday evening (it doesn't help if the only bartender has to fill individual plastic cups for kids) and one meal was mediocre while the other was very good. Still, a nice spot to hang out. This hotel would be a great base of operations for hiking.

Incredible place, good rooms, great food, great people. Staff does not know what they are doing. When I arrived to check in, they had already checked a random person into my room because they had a similar first name. This mistake meant that I had to sit around in the lobby for an hour after traveling 14 hours to get there before they could get me into a room. I was not offered anything to make up for this mistake. The staff member that was working to rectify this situation did not know how to adjust my reservation and I had to come back the following morning to have it done. I had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated at the restaurant because staff was too busy to address me. When I checked out I requested a printed receipt but the person at the desk could not figure out how to do it and said I would get an emailed receipt by the end of the day. It is now 4 days later and I have not received a receipt. I have called the hotel 3 times since then but nobody answers the phone. The one time I did get through, the woman I spoke to said she would email the receipt soon. I still did not receive it. Again, this is not a failing of the staff. This is a failing of the management. There is not a sufficient amount of staff, the systems at the hotel do not work very well, and the training level is not where it needs to be.

The only reason for the three star review is because we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant called the Notche Grille but rather than eat in the restaurant area, you are allowed to eat in the bar lounge, which is a beautiful ambience. It has a fireplace and it is joined by the lobby also. So there is no separation between the lobby and this seating area, which is comfy and cozy at night when the fireplace is going. We got in late and by the time we finished our dinner, it was 10 o’clock and that is the time the bar closed. No problem, we are not heavy drinkers anyway. So we took out water and sat over next to the fireplace on the couches. A gentleman named Roland, who evidently works there, shut the lights off at approximately 10:15pm. He came over to the fireplace and was going to turn it off. We asked him why is he’ shutting the fireplace off? we would just like to sit here and enjoy the nice fireplace. He told me because the bar is closed. We’re not allowed to sit in the same area.. We told him we were weren’t even drinking. We were almost begging him to stay and could not give us a good enough reason. He was crazy. He asked us what room number we were staying in. We refused to give that information out. So I asked him what his name was. He told me it was Roland and then he rudely came back and asked me what my name was. I only gave him my first name. I don’t know why a hotel would close down a seating area up in the mountains where there’s a fireplace to sit at and enjoy! I paid over $300 for the room and paid over $400 for the meal! We will not patronize this hotel again!

Such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the amazing views to the mountains, employees are very nice specifically the lady who works the night shift, the moment you arrive she makes you feel welcomed and gets out of her way to make you feel comfortable.

We booked here for my husbands birthday. The views were beautiful from the downstairs, but our room looked out over the parking lot/road. Unfortunately the fire pit on the patio was broken, which we were looking forward to sitting out by. Excellent service from the bartenders. Food was okay in the restaurant. The main issue was there was no duvet cover on our bed, just two sheets around the duvet. Pretty gross and staff did not take this seriously which we were not happy about. We would not say it’s worth the price that we paid.

This past weekend (October 17–19, 2025), my husband and I stayed at The Gleen House for the first time and brought our dog with us. We specifically chose this hotel because it is advertised as pet-friendly and “welcoming to animals.” When making the reservation, we even had to prepay a $40 daily pet fee — which made us believe pets were truly welcome. However, our experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived on the evening of October 17th around 7:40 p.m., we were greeted by a front desk attendant who was anything but friendly. She had just returned from the restaurant with a plate of food and seemed far more interested in eating than helping guests. Her responses were short, dismissive, and unpleasant. After checking in, we left our dog in the room to have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. About 15 minutes after placing our order, the same receptionist called my husband saying there had been a complaint that our dog was barking and that we “needed to deal with it.” My husband politely explained that we were having dinner, and she rudely replied that she didn’t care what we were doing — that we had to return to the room immediately or she would call the police. He tried to reason with her, explaining that barking is a natural behavior for dogs and that, in a pet-friendly hotel, some tolerance is expected. She continued to be rude, saying we “should know how to control him,” and abruptly hung up after saying she would call her manager. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. She could have spoken to us politely or tried to understand why the dog was barking — instead, she ruined our evening. We had to abandon our dinner and go back to the room. We don’t know the receptionist’s name, and honestly, we didn’t even want to ask after the way she treated us. Our weekend was completely ruined, and we paid a high nightly rate only to be treated with such disrespect. We will never return to this hotel, and I truly hope management addresses this behavior so no other guest goes through what we did.

We booked a very expensive room for last week. We were expecting a balcony room looking at Mt. Washington. We got a room that you could see the mountain (partial view) looking at an overhanging roof that was moldy and water stained and no balcony. 2 chairs would not even fit in front of window. No table would fit in this room. We were told no other room was available. Manager showed us an invoice that was not ours that was $300 less than what we paid and even said the rooms without the view didn’t have balconies! Blatant lie! He said we were scammed by Expedia even though the website said The Glenhouse.com! We had been there a year ago and loved it! Soooo disappointed in our recent experience and would never go back!!!

This hotel is an amazing place to stay. Its location is near Mount Washington. You can enjoy beautiful and breathtaking views from your room. There are many outdoor activities you can do in the proximity. The auto road entrance is walking distance from the hotel. The room is comfortable and very clean.

Currently staying right now. Checked in, decided to go sit in the bar area to eat and have a night cap. Took them 10 minutes to acknowledge our presence. During that time the two bartenders just looked us several times and never made an attempt to see if we needed help. Once a separate lady came by, she did a drive by asked very shortly "are we eating?" brought us menus and never came back. After another 10 minutes or so we decided just to go back to our room because of the pitiful service. First time staying and so far DO NOT RECOMMEND. ?

The Glen House is a very nice hotel of over looking beautiful mountains. The rooms were clean. Unfortunately, trying to get a reservation for dinner was difficult. We asked for a table outside for six people in was refused. However, right behind us was a party of four that they sat outside. Breakfast was an hour wait. Chuck

The view deserves a 5 star and the food as well but unfortunately we were overcharged. It took a while to be served initially despite the place being nearly empty. Once we ordered the drinks came quick and the food didn't take long. The signature smash burger was yummy. We were with another couple and asked them to split the bill and they did but we noticed after payment that it seemed way overpriced. I had to ask for the detailed breakdown of the receipt and noticed we were double charged for 3 of the drinks equaling close to 40.00 After about 15-20 mins were were able to get a refund from management. No comp offered for any part of the bill. Got an apology at least.

From the moment you arrive at The Glen House, you’re greeted with sweeping, majestic views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range that make you pause and take it all in. It’s not just a hotel stay – it feels like stepping into a postcard. The property itself blends modern boutique charm with New England warmth. Whether you’re relaxing by the fire or enjoying the cozy, elegant touches throughout, it feels intimate and thoughtfully designed – never crowded or overwhelming. And the food? Absolutely outstanding. Whether you’re here for brunch or dinner, every dish is prepared with care and creativity. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, the dining experience rivals the best restaurants in the White Mountains. It’s rare to find a place where the culinary experience matches the scenery, but The Glen House delivers on both. From service to setting, this is a place that makes you feel taken care of while letting you fully enjoy the natural beauty around you. A truly amazing boutique experience that I can’t recommend enough – perfect for a weekend getaway, special dinner, or just treating yourself to something unforgettable.

NOT FOR THE HANDICAPPED - PARKING FAR AWAY WHILE EV CHARGING RIGHT IN FRONT OF MAIN ENTRANCE DOOR. - I thought the hotel was great - views are spectacular - location fantastic in the Federal Park and across from the Mt Washington Auto Road - King Room with Balcony was wonderful. Hotel was clean - Common Area lovely - Would recommend for couples or families as no crowds so feel like you are actually in the mountains. BUT the handicap parking was a pain so far from the main entrance of the building. It was as if they had switched it with the EV Charging stations as these were right in front. For this reason I deducted a star - but otherwise had a great time here.

Location was absolutely beautiful. Walking trails right next to the hotel into the woods and up a mountain and around a large meadow. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Restaurant at the hotel served good cocktails and good food. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A return trip there is most definite!

Stunning hotel. Would stay again anytime. The room was clean and pleasant; what service we needed we got; and the location is at the base of Mt. Washington. It was perfect. The in-hotel restaurant was a different story. We found the food unremarkable for the price and the service at breakfast was as if the waitress was a newbee - perhaps she was, and just didn't say.

One of the best Hotels I have been to in a long time. The best bed and most comfortable. Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The fire pit and views are some of the best things in life. The food was amazing and for the price there was so much. Plenty of things to do in the area.

This is a beautiful place to go to escape and rest. There is a magnificent view out every window. It feels like the middle of nowhere, but you're only 10 minutes away from lots to do. The morning breakfast was delicious, and the service was great. We went in late April, which is considered "Mud Season." Actually, it was beautiful outside, and there were no crowds or lines anywhere. We'll come back again. Soon, I hope.

Stayed here from March 23 through April 6 2025. I really enjoyed being there. The staff were really friendly. Room service always did a great job. Great views from the hotel. Quiet place. I was there for business but I would definitely come back for vacation. Highly recommended the Glen house.

This is the second time we are returning to this hotel and resort. It’s so quiet, peaceful and pleasant! Rooms are large and clean great view from both sides of the hotel. Costumer service is excellent. And always fresh hot complementary coffee and tea 24/7. Cross country skiing is very close, highly recommend! The restaurant is fine, not really impressed, but for that area is ok. We definitely coming back again!
