I have used towing services here many times and have always been completely happy. Recently they handled a tow for me around 100 miles to a dealership with the upmost professionalizm. I would highly recommend them for any towing needs ?
I bought a Subaru legacy from Byrnes automotive and we absolutely love it, I got it in July. It is the best car I have ever had one afternoon we decided to go look for a new vehicle and we looked around my husband said he was not going home without a new car, the car we had was bearly running so we went to Byrnes and spoke with Bob and made the deal and then Ryan took the car to get it ready for us to pick it up so. I have never had a Subaru but this one is the best Subaru I have ever had or drove in. I would like to say thank you to Bob and Ryan and everyone at Byrnes automotive. They are friendly nice and they care about their customers. They have my business for sure. I tell all my friends and family if you need a car or need repairs or anything to go see Bob and Ryan And they’ll help you if they can’t they’ll tell you where you can go to get help.

We only use Byrne for our car repairs. We also purchased a used vehicle from them and it’s the most reliable one we’ve had. At one point, our car needed some repairs before I could take my road test, and although they are incredibly busy, they were able to have it ready in time. They have even allowed us to borrow a vehicle several times when we were having repairs done and had no other transportation. They are great, honest folks and go above and beyond for their customers.
Found this gem on a recommendation, from a colleague. Not only will BAC fit tires, I bought online. Many workshops refuse unless you buy their tires. The mechanic fitting the tires alerted me to four (yes all of them) broken struts. This averted a mechanical failure that might have been catastrophic.
i cannot express enough how kind Ryan was when helping us! we broke down on a road trip and AAA sent Ryan. he was able to jumpstart our car and followed us back to the shop to get it fixed. he kept us updated over the phone and broke down all the prices and costs. they didn’t tell us to fix anything that wasn’t needed. now we’re on our way home thanks to Byrne Auto Center. They were fair, kind, and cared about myself and my car!! not to mention they have the best homemade soda around. THANK YOU BYRNEs!!!!

Pulled in with a flat tire. The proprietor happily agreed to take a look. He patiently listened to my story about inflating my tires to the PSI listed on the tires. Then pointed out tire pressure, and other important stats, is printed out on a sticker inside the driver's side door frame. Who knew? Anyway, he depressurized and re-inflated my tires (including the flattish one), checked for a leak and steered me to a competing tire place down the street if I needed more help. Oh, and there was no charge for his time and expertise. Honestly, this was the best customer service I've experienced in a long time! Highly recommend.
These guys towed my truck on the day I decided to take my life back and check myself into an opioid detox or rehabilitation center. Now I knew the bill wouldn't be cheap, between the first 7 days at the intensive in-patient facility followed by a yet to be determined time living in a sober house. What I didn't expect was in 12 days i would be informed if I wanted my only means of transportation back I would need to come up with more money than I originally bought it for. Positive notes would be they are allowing me to get some of my things out of the truck, today actually. They were also polite on the phone.
You don't find service like this often. We were driving over Pinkham Notch when we heard an audible thud from the right front of our vehicle. When we got into Gorham, we pulled into Byrne Auto to inspect the car. We didn't see an evident damage but we worried about what was lurking out of sight. Fortunately, Ryan, one of the owners at the shop, saw us outside and came right out to ask if we needed assistance. We explained the situation and he very graciously offered to jump in the front seat to go for ride around the block to see if we could recreate the noise, which we did. Arriving back at the shop, Ryan got down to inspect the vehicle and similar to us, couldn't find anything wrong. He had cars up on both of his lifts at the time, so he sent us to a companion garage nearby where they had more lifts available. Turns out, our front shock had rusted and cracked in half! We really appreciated that Ryan encouraged us to get it looked at more closely, and beyond this, we really appreciated how much time he took out of his day to help us problem solve. There aren't too many businesses with that kind of personal touch anymore, but Byrne Auto is one of the few! We recommend them for their honesty, transparency, and clear good will. These guys were great. Our car got stuck in a ditch on a dirt road near lowes path trailhead on a Saturday morning. I called their number before working hours and to my surprise got Bob on the line. They were there within 40 mins and worked really well to get the car out of the ditch. Their prices are very reasonable and they helped me when no one else was around to help. Would definitely recommend them if you’re in the area.

From speaking with the office to meeting the driver at the exact scheduled time, these guys truly know how to do their job.
I have tried 5 different companies at 4:50pm on Friday, from Bethel, ME area and not a single one of them wanted or could take the order. Byrne Auto not only took the order, but got it done with 1 hour notice and scheduled the 2nd right on the next day with the requested time.
From the name of our company, this is our go to guys from now on!

I wasted $1,600, had to go back twice, and there is still so much wrong with my car. The problems that they said they would fix, aren't fixed. They also stole car parts that we left in the back seat to fix a specific problem. Not sure where they went because they sure as heck didn't go into my car.
Made an appointment last week for 8am tow and No body ever showed. Called the other number that was on the answering machine only to leave another voicemail and no call back. Called B&B towing and they came and got the job done instead

Had repair work done by byrne, they did a great job finding the root of the electrical problem and kept the cost down. They are very reasonable, and nice to deal with.
I hope my experience was the exception not the rule because the staff was indeed very friendly but the quality of service I got was very much subpar..
1. They are extremely difficult to get on the phone, as it took over four hours to get someone on the line after my initial phone call, even after calling the cell number the voicemail provides. If you do leave a message its likely not checked regularly because I didn't get a response there either.
2. If a credit or debit card is your only means of payment they charge you before the truck even arrives on scene and any work is done
3. Given at this garage is 350 ft from the end of my driveway where my car was stuck I figured maybe we can work a deal however I had to pay the flat rate for the truck to come out even though it was just a pickup truck with a winch in the back but this I can overlook.
4. Again this garage is 350 feet from my driveway and it still took the driver almost half an hour to get here.
5. Once the driver finally arrives at my house, he's apparently assessed the situation and decided he's unable to tow my vehicle due to lack of tow points and before I even have time to get my shoes and coat on he's already back in his truck and leaving and not sure why in a day of cell phones waited until he got back to the garage to call me so I never even had a chance to speak with him face to face.
6. Growing increasingly desperate I decided to walk down to the garage and speak with this gentleman face-to-face and explain to him that my vehicle can be towed however apparently he's already gone for the day when I got there mind you 30 minutes had elapsed
I guess the Silver Lining in all this, is my friend came and pulled me out and yeah that might have been a little more inconvenient but it only cost me a quarter of the price so, thanks I guess...

I am well aware you are family owned and operated, as my family has done business with you in the past, and as I support small business, is why you got the call to begin with.
I also am well aware of the locale, and where cell phone service is limited, and I called the business directly, and yes it was within business hours which, I think would be pretty obvious given i stated that i walked there and spoke with someone.
And again, I am aware of the lack of tow points on my vehicle, and would have gladly gone to VIP and purchased a tow hook, something I conveyed to the lady at the desk..
Lastly, the "tow truck" which as I said was a pickup with a winch, which in my opinion was ludicrous to pay $80 for a service charge, and had it been a wrecker or actual tow truck I would've understood, was parked in the driveway of the business when I walked there!
Listen, my front wheels got stuck in ruts that iced over, and given my cars low ground clearance, I just needed a pull maybe of about 4 or 5 feet, and while I appreciate the driver's desire not to damage my car, the reality is hooking to the a arm and winching it out would have been far less traumatic then having to get a pickup and a bungee tow strap and snapping it out like what is what had to happen, and I would have given you a signed statement, releasing you from liability if that's what you so desired....
Two months prior I got into an accident coming home from work and went off the road a good 150 feet or so, and that operator had no issues towing it backwards through 4 feet of snow, so its doubtful hooking to it and rolling it back a few feet would have been all that bad.
And given the desperate situation I was in and after pleading my case to the lady at the desk, who promised me a call back if i was truly in need of help. And that is what the crux of the issue is, the complete lack of communication, from the driver who took a two second look and drove away, to the calling of both the business and mobile phones during business hours and not getting a return call in ANY of the three days I called, I had to be persistent, amd keep calling until I finally got an answer. Own your mistakes and do better next time!!
I bought a van from this business last year and Bob will do everything and anything to make sure you’re happy. He also wants to make sure that the vehicle stays on the road, for as long as he can. Do your regular maintance frequently and they will help you no matter. From what I see they just want to see that you care about your vehicle as much as they cared about it before it was in your hands. This business is all around is very understanding, and will do anything to do what they can to help you. They don’t want to see you fail, they’d rather help and see you succeed. If you need a tow, give them a call! Very responsible prices!
