It’s kind of a mixed bag here. It’s technically a Napa Auto Parts, but doesn’t always feel like one. Prices can vary wildly—sometimes up to 50% difference between Napa online and in-store. Customer service is hit or miss too; it completely depends on who helps you—it’ll either be the best experience you’ve had or the worst. The biggest letdown for me is that they don’t offer in-store pickup for online orders. I really wish I had more positive things to say.
We stopped here with our camper on our journey down the Pony Express! We checked the weather and realized it would be below 38° where we were going and needed to blow out our water in our truck camper. Bob was very friendly at the desk and helped us find the correct parts and borrow an air compressor. Thanks Bob!!!
Awesome parts desk with seasoned mechanics helping customers find what they need and offering advice. They had parts for our vintage vehicle in inventory! Thanks for helping us get rolling again!
I was on a road trip , we broke down , this store had what we needed on hand, this was a pleasant experience as I did not expect a good parts selection in a small town , I am quite pleased they had what I needed , and the staff I worked with pleasant and knowledgeable it was a good experience all around ,
Had a problem with our radiator deflector on our motorhome and needed a fix ASAP so we could travel back home to Oregon. We didn't know what part we needed to fix it, but the employee, John, came out to the MH and measured the area, found the part, AND crawled under the MH to put it on for us! We can't thank him enough for going above and beyond for us!
Had a check engine light come on during a vacation trip. Didn't have any of my tools. They were able to read the code and get me on my way. Thanks so much.
My elderly parents are traveling from Vegas to Boise for the 4th of July and ended up getting a blowout. My dad was able to change the tire but they were driving on a donut. They arrived to C&B Right before 5pm and the employee was locking up and walking out. My mom begged him to help them as they were still 400 miles away from Boise and the employee advised her to come back Monday at 7:30a and he could help her because he had “plans” tonight. Super unprofessional and I can’t believe he wouldn’t take 30 minutes to help two elderly people. I’m just sick about the idea of my parents having to drive 45 mph on a highway because this employee had no compassion to help them in their time of need and it was the only open tire shop for MILES. Shame on C&B and same on that employee. If anything happens to them, it’s on you!!
I have to say this parts store was the most helpful I've ever had to deal with. The slave cylinder went out in my vintage motorhome and I was trying to replace it in the parking lot. It's really not a difficult task unless of course you have the hydraulic line from, well you know!! They had loaner tools and lots of patience with me. In the end I ended up asking for a mobile mechanic number and they had that info as well. We ended up having to buy more tools to get the job done. Thanks everyone who helped it was so busy but you were so patient!!
Richard dug through their computer's catycombs to come up with the correct small pcv elbow to get my 2004 Ford Escape back on the road. Thank you for putting in the effort for a little item.
Omg Bob and John were AMAZING we had a rv that needed a new battery, they went above and beyond and delivered the battery and brought tools! These guys ROCK! BEST SERVICE EVER!!
Radiator cracked 22 miles out of town. Vehicle towed to repair shop and got my four kids (two special needs) to a hotel. The shop I ordered a radiator from this NAPA, but it needed to be shipped from Salt Lake City. Was promised it would arrive by the next morning. The next morning came and no radiator. The only thing Brady (NAPA employee) was willing to do was “try and order it again.” He would even (or didn’t think to) call the Salt Lake City distribution center to see what the issue was. Brady just made excuses and said “it was the best he could do.” Meanwhile I’m missing work and my kids are missing critical appointments and therapies. I had to call the distribution center myself and arrange for same day transport of the radiator.
Had a Check Engine Light come on while driving into town. Stopped by and Nate was able to hook up the OBD2 scanner and check my error code and let me know what was going on. Big thanks to Nate!!
These guys were super helpful and friendly! As a tourist in a bind, these guys were able to source a F250 FICM circuit board in Salt Lake City and have it in my hand by 9am the next day!!
Their store is large and fully stocked with all the typical things you need for truck, car and motorhome. They have some RV/Trailer stuff too!

I went in to see about replacement of a faulty wiper blade I purchased and was told Napa doesn't warranty all their products. So basically I was just out the money! All the while putting up with the guys smirky looks like maybe I didn't know exactly what I was doing because I am a woman. I have owned over 100 antique and collector cars, have been around and worked on cars all my life and certainly know how to put on a wiper blade! C & B Auto definitely needs some competition in this town so they can improve their game. The employees need to step into the 21st century and realize some women do know their way around an automobile! As far as I am concerned they stole the money from me plus I had to put up with the attitude, not a good way to run a business.
Stunningly good customer service, to go with the great parts you always expect from NAPA! We placed an online order 10 minutes before they opened, and when we got there 15 minutes later, the items were sitting there waiting for us. Another customer in line had ordered an alternator for a large truck that they didn't have in stock at closing time the night before, and he was absolutely amazed that it was waiting for him when they opened at 7a.m. the next morning
25 years turning wrenches, and this is by far the worst parts store I've ran across. I lost a serpentine belt after my A/C compressor seized. I discovered that this store was the only part store in Ely. Lack of competition has definitely affected their customer service, and stock. I drive a very popular style and make of truck, yet they had neither the belt, nor the compressor on hand. I also needed a 3/8 - 1/2 inch drive adapter, also out of stock. End of story, I ended buying a belt that was an inch to long, and a $27 made in Taiwan POS ratchet due to their inability to keep very common items in store. If you're reading this I assume you to are broke down in Ely. Therefore you also are required to buy from here, and you have my heartfelt sympathy.

This place really came through for me while staying the night in Ely. Trucks fuel filter went south they had it in stock. The next morning while replacing the filter I cracked the housing. These guys were nice enough to go out of their way to bring me the part. Super helpful. Thanks again
