outstanding outfit ! not only did Darrell scoop us up and bring the Christmas eve nightmare to the shop but the crew repaired issues that were near failure. when parts were not available locally Robert brilliantly sourced from his yard to make sure we were able to complete our trip safely. extremely grateful for the kindness and skill of Cindy and the Cramer crew.

I went in and spoke to Robert one day regarding car. Agreed id come back with photos for him to view. At that time he said what was needed was nor going to be a problem and he would seek what was needed to get the problem fixed.i returned two days later with photos to show and get put on schedule.
When I arrived Robert was not there. I explained what I was there for to the Gal at the front desk. She was aware of the conversation between me and Robert but instead she took it upon herself to tell me he was not going to be available for two weeks and that he didn't think he could do the job.
I'm thinking if that was the case he would have to that when he and I spoke.
I get it...... You took it upon yourself to discourage
me from bringing my classic to you by making up whatever you felt was needed as to not want my business.
Don't think I don't know where all this is coming from.
Racism exist in small town.

I then took my business elsewhere where I've taken before.
I was just trying to give my business locally to the community here but I'll drive hour and fifteen minutes to take it elsewhere.

My daughter's car broke down near Yerington while on her first drive home from Reno. Cramer Automotive helped her get back on the road when she showed up with no appointment at the end of the day. I hope she never has car troubles during the long road trip again, but if she does, I hope it's in Yerington! Thank you so much Cramer Automotive!
Absolutely awful they stole things out of my car and clearly went through everything. And than lied to my face when I confronted them. Do not recommend!
Robert Cramer came and towed my car and absolute yanked my bumper off. I have video and photo evidence and they're refusing to answer the phone. Real mature.
I have referred 3 friends to use their service and everyone of my friends have commented on how rude the gal in the office was to them. Good way to keep business local. Also they don’t warranty their alignments which to me is shocking.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Tow truck driver caused body damage on our vehicle and they lied trying to deny our claim.
I feel bad that it took me so long to write this review but it is very important that I do. We have AAA so when we broke down we called for a tow. AAA sent a driver from Cramer. The tow truck driver was very nice and friendly, however he damaged our truck while trying to load it onto the flatbed. We warned the driver that the wheel was going to fall off as soon as he started moving the truck but he still tried to load it an easier way. Subsequently, the wheel did come off and was trapped up under the wheel well and caused body damage and bent our running boards. The driver then ended up placing 2x4 wood pads under the hub to slide the truck up onto the bed. (The way it should have been done the first time). THANKFULLY, I recognized there was going to be a problem so I was video tapping with my phone the whole time. I contacted AAA to make a damage report and they told me that we should go directly through Cramer to deal with getting our damages repaired. I could go on and on but we contacted Cramer several times getting the run around. Cindy (who I later learned is the owner and/or wife of) was so rude to me on the phone, raised her voice at me, and hung up on me. After Cindy hung up the phone on me, I decided that we had to contact AAA again. CRAMER DENIED ANY FAULT to AAA (unbelievable!). I had to send all of the photos and video to AAA as proof and thankfully, AAA came through for us and sent us a check to make the repairs. $2,038.00.
In addition to that damage to our truck, we had to wait over an hour for the tow truck to arrive. The driver told us that he was trying to get the air conditioning fixed AGAIN. He said that they had just fixed it but it broke again. So even though we waited an hour for arrival, the A/C still was not fixed. Our two dogs, us, and the driver then had to drive two hours to Reno in 108 degree heat (after already waiting 1hour). My original thought was "unfortunate, but stuff happens". Then I realized that Cramer Automotive is actually an auto repair facility and they were the ones that couldn't fix their own vehicle!!! Yikes.
I could go into so much more detail but bottom line is Cramer Automotive is not a good tow truck company OR auto repair company based on my experience. Also....... they certainly do not care about their customers or reputation. They are located in a small town so maybe there is not a lot of competition for them to be concerned about.
I purposefully did not use the tow truck drivers name but it appears he still works there, which I'm glad to hear. It does however lead me to assume that AAA is the one who ended up losing the $2, 038.00, rather than Cramer fessing up and taking responsibility.
Kyle called as soon as dispatch came and then called me personally, knew exactly my location and got my car loaded for the dealership in less than 5 minutes. I don't often have car problems but I'll NEVER call anyone else.
Long time in rating, They did a fabulous job on my Tahoe, they towed my Tahoe, trailer and me to their shop spent next day testing and being very patient with me and my cats plus payment. Sept. 2020. let me stay with my fur babies on their property, I don't remember names but the duo that came and rescued me on that very dark road thank you very much. very pleased with the service and highly recommend its services if local or traveling.
Love the fact that the owner does the work! Robert did a great job on the exhaust of my classic car and would not relax until it came out perfect. So if a plum crazy purple Plymouth Cuda comes by your house and knocks a few pictures off the wall and wakes up your dogs it's because Robert did a great job!
I wish I could give 10 stars. This establishment was able to open my locked vehicle with my 2 dogs inside. They got here in less than 10 minutes and opened it right away. The people were very fast and friendly. So happy with the service!
Darrel and the crew at Cramer Automotive and towing are a blessing. Not only provided great service, but great advice and help. Do not hesitate to do business with these people!!!
Cramer responded immediately to my call in the middle of the night when I wrecked my RV. He then gave me reasonable rates when I had to wait for a shipping company to pick up my wrecked vehicle, and Cindy helped coordinate phone calls back and forth from the insurance and adjusters etc. Most of all, they treated me like family for an entire month and I felt so well taken care of. You’re in good hands with Cramer.
DO NOT USE THEM!!! Cramer towing will rob, steal, and take your property out of your vehicle.. they dont care about customers..they only want to over charge and take your money.. They work hand in hand with LYON county sheriffs office and will put a hold on your vehicle that way the bill gets higher and higher..
Thank you, thank you thank you. They came all the way to Fernley to tow my chinook because the local tow company is incompetent of doing their job. This company went above and beyond to be helpful, courteous and professional. Would be the first place I will call in the future when in the area for towing needs.
very very professional people we needed our car towed we called them through AAA they came out promptly got our car up on a flatbed truck took it to and auto facility with no problems very very nice people I would definitely recommend them A plus
