Friendly staff. And they carry all the fluids you may have forgotten to bring. Have many tools to fit your needs.

Amazing group of people. I have never walked out without getting what I need. Need a part while working? Just ask. Need a tool? Just ask. 10/10 recommend.

All of the FSS services have been going downhill since the new manager they got about a year ago. Auto Hobby used to offer a free air machine outside; now it's 50 cents. They charge up to $30 to do an electronic diagnostic - as in they plug in that device into your car to see what your check engine light means. Takes about two minutes to do, and is done for free at Auto Zone. They charge $2 for non-active duty to use the pool now. The Aero Club has been getting treated horribly by her management, with it seeming as if she's trying to get it shut down. It's not even worth using any of the services on base anymore thanks to her.

We’ve always had great experiences with Outdoor Rec. until this last one. We recently rented a camping trailer from them and the experience was a nightmare. Booking it was a breeze! The folks are kind. The trailer was decent.. we knew we’d get what we paid for and managed our expectations. It started with the receiver. We had brought our own because I had done the research to see which size and height was required.. well, they took ours off and put theirs on changing the way the trailer would sit. This would have been fine IF it was correct but it wasn’t. The trailer rode so rough the whole way there. We finally just flipped it around. Next was the tire. As soon as we arrived to our destination (3 hours away) we had to fill up the water tank, the white hose was provided thankfully. While doing so, someone let us know we had a flat on the trailer. I’m still not overly upset at this point, stuff happens. I called the office to let them know and they told me “you probably just hit a nail.” Upon further inspection, it was dry rot. Dry rot! Changed the tire in 97° temp on hot asphalt. Next, I got the trailer backed into our spot and went to take it off the Jeep.. to find out there are no blocks.. no planks.. nothing for the stabilizers (we’re on grass) one little block for the tire. Luckily we had so many great neighbors willing to lend a hand while my husband ran to the store to buy what was required. Got the trailer level and the generator hooked up. The a/c was great! The refrigerator, not so much. Didn’t work. Not one time. Store trip number two for a cooler. Now, when we dropped it off and asked for a discount, we were told “we provided a spare tire” “maybe your generator wasn’t rated for trailers” “maybe the trailer prioritized the a/c over the refrigerator” “we don’t provide blocks/planks” So, the issue is, if these are known issues, they should be stated. Also, I’ve been camping my entire life and know what I’m doing. The generator was obviously big enough and rated for trailers.

I’ve always had good experiences here; equipment rental has LOTS of stuff you can rent. Some of which you may not even know about! The auto hobby side is great to have as well. Yes, I like many others wish for the expanded hours of bygone years, but a budget is a budget and these good folks have to stick to theirs just like the rest of us. All in all, this is a top-notch organization and I’m so glad we have it!

You can feel comfortable bringing your vehicle here to have it worked on. Quick, proper diagnosis, thorough repair and fair prices. And right in the same building you can get anything you need for an outdoor adventure. All with great customer service. We're lucky to have Offutt Auto Hobby and Outdoor Rec.

I spent 28 years in the US Air Force at hundreds of bases/posts. This on ranks up there with the best. Bummer they closed the paint booth. Talk to BJ. He either has what you need or will tell you to go to Hell in such a pleasant manner you will look forward to the journey.

Military or Veterans can rent equipment to get their job done at reasonable prices. Staff is professional and friendly.

Completely outstanding! They have all the tools I needed to change my water pump right at the stall except for the drip pan for the antifreeze. I did not even notice when it was put under my car (maybe as they directed me in to the stall?). I was in and out in just under 2 hours. It's amazing how fast you can go when all your tools are organized. I was about to try to drive 400 miles so I could do it at home after my trip but that worried me too much. After this experience, I am going to have start using them more often. Well worth the $18!

We got exactly what we needed....a snowblower for an awesome time in the snow. It was full of gas and ready to go. We had so much fun in the snow with it!!!☃️⛄❄️❄️❄️❄️???

Great place to work on your car or have your car worked on they have mechanics on hand as well as mechanic classes for those interested in doing their own repairs.

Nice auto hobby shop, friendly staff and a lot of stalls! Great place to do your own work, even oil changes, for just a few bucks.

Middle of the workday, air hoses hanging everywhere, and they want to charge active duty military personnel in uniform for adding air to a low tire. Absolutely shameful!! Commander needs to make sure this place is a service to military members, and not a self licking ice cream cone.

The auto hobby staff was friendly and helpful. Most of the tools I needed were right there in my bay and the 2 I needed beyond that I was able to get from the front desk in a matter of seconds. The bay was clean and serviceable. Oil change, trans fluid change, transfer case oil chance, tire rotation, and air cleaner replacement in 1.5 hours. Thanks folks!

Offutt AFB folks at the counter are always helpful and go out of their way to get answers about tickets, times, and events. I've had my car in the shop. The guys do a good job and I find that the price is much more reasonable.

Stellar group of professionals that are very helpful. The prices are perfect for helping military personnel with options for fixing there cars on a budget. Highly recommend if you are able to use.

Great selection, reasonable prices and they don't mind helping you get hitched up, understand the equipment and make your event much more enjoyable.

Outdoor Rec has affordable pricing, massive selection, and great hours of operation! The staff is friendly inside, and willing to assist you in whatever you need to rent/buy when it comes to ITT related items.

Well stocked, clean, cheap. Auto Hobby Shop is the best part of the FSS.

The hours of Auto Hobby shop are ridiculous. 9 - 5 five days a week, closed Wednesday and Sunday. Probably 75% or more of Offutt people work day shift, and yet this shop closes right about the time we get off work, and then is only open for half the weekend. This used to be a very valuable service to Airmen on the base. I'll add, the tools aren't great, and every time I've been there, I feel like it is very difficult to get some one to answer any kind of question. I have one good weekend day that I can use this shop, or I have to take a vacation day. Not very good support.

Auto shop is awesome. Plenty of yard tools and misc rentals. Pretty good prices.

I've used the outdoor rec center for RV storage for several years, in addition to tickets and tours, rental equipment and the auto hobby shop. Seems like some of the last benefits that are still available and worthwhile. They are always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The manager goes out of his way to do anything he can to help.

Way cheaper than any other automotive shop! They don't mark up their parts pricing like everywhere else.

With access to the base, you can't go wrong visiting Outdoor Rec where they have everything from discounted tours to trips to summer camps to rental equipment. You can rent rock wall for climbing, inflatable balls you walk in, campers, tools, carpet cleaners, and more. The Auto Hobby shop has lifts so you can do your own maintenance and oil changes. This is a highly recommended stop for anyone affiliated with the base.
