Wifes cars impounded. Had a hold on her vehicle but hav been VERY nice and helpful over the phone. She's heading there now to get it. Will post her experience shortly.
My Car was impounded for a late night car accident, I wasn't driving under the influence or doing anything illegal and I have a clean driving record, Im just epileptic and had a terrible seizure and crashed a few min from this impound lot, so it got impounded for the night. I wanted to pick up some special personal belongings the next morning after someone on the scene that night said I'll be good to pick everything up in the morning as long as I have my license, insurance and registration...but nope apparently that was a lie... but hey I'm sure they think they saved the day while no one will admit they're wrong or that I was lied to so that means it must be my fault somehow. Happy holidays to me. I'm out a van I've driven my whole life and I'm being told I can't even get what personal belongings means the most to me out of MY paid for totaled minivan.
They are terrible at customer service they don’t care about helping you get your vehicle back they just want to clock in and get their shift over with!
The staff is amazing I had to get my brothers cars out of impound after they were stolen they waived so many fees due to the circumstances. Granted I don't agree with charging the owner with the tow fee on a stolen vehicle but other than that I have no complaints about the impound lot if omaha.
I was blessed a very pleasent lady behind the glass was very kind and very helpful even made a few calls herself as to why i still had a hold on my car. Yeah she did any and all she could posibly do to help and for her she wss hands on doing her job to her best. Over the top. It to bad everyone isnt tops at there jobs.
I'm sure everyone's experience here varies due to the multiple reasons why you may end up visiting. I was there to retrieve a car that was stolen and recovered. Staff was kind and courteous, and I was in and out in a timely manner. That being said, I hope to never have to return, for any reason.
These people are straight leeches. First, I get my car impounded on Saturday and I then I find out I can’t pick it up til Monday! Not only that, I have to pay for $20 each day for storage. The total cost: $195. This is just straight legalized robbery.
They were very kind and patient.... I understand how it feels to not have your car because of whatever situation you in and they do too. They really want to help and get you the vehicle as fast as possible just trust the process and you'll have it on no time. I really appreciate them
They wrote numbers on front windshield and on rear glass as well. They said they are not responsible for it and won't be removing them - you have to remove them. It took good amount of time to remove numbers, even after removing it, the number left marks so I had to scrub them with pressure. Why can't they find an easy way?!
I have given this tow lot a 3, because my experience was not that terrible, I just happened to notice a lot of opportunities where it could have been a lot better and reduced the stress of my situation. I had some mechanical issues with the Computer in my car, on my way home from work it died on me, stressful right. A very sweet lady stopped and stayed with me until the police got there because it was later in the night. The cop really worked with me and had it towed to this impound because it was one of the cheaper ones in the area, and I was unsure of the timeframe it would take me to get it fixed. The next morning I went to the impound to get the serial number off the unit that needed to be replaced and they had not yet logged my vehicle in. I understood since it was late when it was towed and I was there right when they opened. I came back 2 hours later and they told me that they did have my car but no paperwork or report from the cops. The officer that helped me had given me his number so I called him and he said that he would send them another copy. I was told by an employee at the impound to keep looking on the search tool via the website, and when my car had been processed it would appear on there with a call number. 4 days later it was finally processed through and I was able to go look at it. They charged me for the days that I couldn't even look at my car and the 2 days after that it took me to get it fixed. I understand that mistakes happen with paperwork, but as a favor I would have liked not to have had to pay for those days. Other than that the one guy that went out to the lot with me actually helped me swap out 3 sensors that needed to be fixed and even gave me a smoke! Lol
I had a vehicle towed here several years ago. Didn't get around to reclaiming it until nearing the end of 30 days. Expected to pay the $20 a day storage, NOT having them go through my trunk and STEAL all my tools.
Had to pick up a vehicle for out of state family member. The staff made the process clear to me, and were very helpful when I went to get the vehicle. Should send DMV staff there for training.
Had a vehicle stolen on Tuesday, was recovered Thursday and picked up the following Monday.
The staff was very professional and helpful in the process, and waived the impound and admin fee due to it being a stolen vehicle. Still had to pay the towing charge as the City policy is to charge that no matter what. They helped jumpstart it and were very understanding with our situation.
People need to understand that they handle quite a few vehicles every day and are not the ones who set the policies and rates. Your car was towed for a reason (stolen, parked someplace it shouldn't have been, abandonded, etc) but hopefully it all works out for you.
If you have your proof of insurance and other paperwork, you will get good service. If you want to blame everyone else for your problem, well that's on you...
I love the reviews, so funny coming from the people who haven't dealt with Tow Lots. So all your complaints are magnified at a tow lot. That $20/day storage is cheap. Most tow lots charge 40-45/day for storage.
When I called with an issue and spoke with the employee he was very nice and courteous, gave me all the information I needed and advised and the best way to get the vehicle out. Of all the hundreds of tow company's and impounds I've dealt with in my career this one was among the top 5.
They delayed my insurance company to pick up my vehicle even after I provided a notarized copy that USAA can pick up the vehicle. Then they needed a copy of insurance which I faxed several times. Common sense, why would my insurance pick up a car if it didn't have insurance on it?
hey that stupid how are you going too say on your site your open on the weekend and your not. Fix your web site its Saturday and your web site say your opened from 10:00 too 1:00 pm.

Daughters car got towed in for expired plates which THE POLICE COMPUTERS WERE DOWN and where WRONG..Had to pay 3 days of storage because it was a Friday.They pulled off the plates which were good and had currant proper stickers on them.BS is right.THEY WERE WRONG AND THE PUBLIC HAS TO PAY
I will NEVER go here again. It's awful and corrupt. And on Google, they make the reviews look like it's something that it's not.
1. They charge you $20 a day, even on weekends when they're closed and you can't come claim your vehicle. That is BS! They care nothing about you. They care nothing about your well-being. They are so greedy. I had an awful experience with this place,
2. They charge you $3 for any copies. That is ridiculous. They already charge you enough for it to just sit there on the weekends.
I will NEVER recommend_anyone to come here.
THIS IS THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF CROOKS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THEY WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO SCREW THE PUBLIC AND MAKE MONEY FOR THE CITY TO WASTE ON WHO KNOWS WHAT. THERE IS NOTHING ETHICAL ABOUT THE OPERATION OF THIS FACILITY. WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR THESE THIEVES!!!
