Midnight breakdown and Rusty saved us with a smile. Made sure my daughter felt safe as well. Next day we picked up our Uhal off the back of the broken truck. DJ Rustys wife was there in the morning with a smile. My daughter told DJ about the bad break up we were picking her up from and DJ gave her wonderful life advice. Wonderful people.
We hit two massive pot holes outside of Cabool MO. We were towing a uhaul from Nebraska to Florida it was Friday after work hours and blew out two tires on the passenger side of the vehicle. We called AAA and they dispatched Ed. My best plan I could come up with was to get towed to Walmart get a hotel overnight and hopefully by noon the next day we would be on the road.
He was able to find a shop operated by a man named Jimmy (NASCAR speedy) and we were on the road again that night.

Extremely satisfied and they were so helpful! They even fixed my truck on a Saturday when closed. I was traveling through and my pitman arm shattered. They got it done and secured. Assisted me with rides to and from hotel while working on my truck. I was up and running next day to continue my move to Tennessee from Nebraska. Called AAA for a tow , driver called to give us an ETA , he arrived within 30 minutes of being called , got our truck loaded and off the side of the road quickly and safely. Very friendly , professional and safe. Highly recommended!!
Almost died because their driver decided he wanted to exit a highway last minute without signaling while we were already on the exit. They didn’t check their mirrors, use signals or anything so we had to slam on our brakes so we wouldn’t be hit. After we got around the driver on the other highway that apparently made him mad so he proceeded to tailgate us close as he could. If we had to hit our brakes at all for any reason we would have been completely run over by the semi tow truck. So if you see this company on the road, stay far away if you value your life.
I had a dead battery and Rusty from Ed’s Towing was dispatched. Eventually, the car needed a tow due to transmission issues. Rusty was prompt and courteous to come back and save me from the breakdown spot. When I called the office to make my payment, the office manager was the kindest person, she was prompt with sending a much needed receipt. The car was placed on the platform kind of tow and transported quickly and safely back to the dealership it was purchased from. I would highly recommend their services.
Ed and DJ deserve more than 5 stars! The service was fast! We were passing through late at night from Georgia. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from supper to a motel room. They treated us like family! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Thank you so much for going above and beyond what ANY towing company is expected to do. I had a flat tire in Alton which is 2 hours away from a dealership that could fix my car. They assisted me with repairing my flat tire after hours. With it being almost midnight, they followed me to the next town just to make sure I was safe. I can’t recommend them enough! You truly care about doing great work and helping others in their time of need.
We broke down on our way back from Mountain View to Springfield and Ed's Towing really came through for us. They made sure to get us to a nearby gas station so me and my family were not stuck on the side of the road waitimg for our ride. They got my vehicle safely where it was supposed to go. Very thankful for this team.
Rusty showed up with in 30 minutes of requesting a tow. They have the best prices and when Freightliner demanded that he move my truck to a different location after disconnecting he only charged about half the normal hook fee. He also cut his rate a bit to meet the original bid price. I would recommend this company.
Ed's Towing saved the day for us yesterday when our toddler locked herself in our car. We called and within 10-15 minutes the guy was there to unlock it quickly and free of charge! It was a stressful situation but with their kindness and compassion they made it a much better Easter Sunday. Thank you so much for what you do!
My car started having engine problems on highway 44 and I got a tow back to Springfield. As soon as they received a call for my roadside assistance request through Allstate they were on the way. Super nice employees and driver. He made the whole process easy and even let me hitch a ride while he towed my car. 5/5 would definitely recommend!
I am so grateful for these people! Our car broke down on the way to Springfield and they were the only ones to help us for a reasonable price. I know they are getting home late tonight due to bringing our car all the way back to Arkansas, so I am more than happy to say what amazing people!
Ed’s Towing was the only towing within 60 miles that actually responded to our roadside assistance request on Progressive. He let us ride with him to our AirBnB and was very nice to talk with, especially seeing as it was almost 3am! We are so thankful for Ed and definitely recommend him for any towing services you need within the Springfield/Mountain Grove/Ozark area!
I live here at Aspen Heights and I got home late from my night shift to see that someone is parked in my reserved parking spot that I pay for every month because parking here is already hard. So I proceeded to call this place 3 separate times with no answer and a full voicemail box. I had no where else to park my car where I live besides another reserved spot that was open. So I parked there. I woke up this morning for my 10 am shift to see that my car had been towed. Once I called the place I spoke to a wonderful lady who seemed like she would be able to help me with this misunderstanding. But once we arrived the man at the front was rude and would not listen to us and told us we had to pay. There was an option to pay either cash or card but cash was a lot cheaper. All I had were two 100$ bills because I am a server. They proceeded to tell me they can’t break them. This place needs some serious new management and need to empty their voicemail box if they want to make money from towing cars in the first place.
People should never ever go to eds towing at all. My roommate and I had an car issue that we can't get it to start and we live in mtn view and I'm a college student at msu. We called AAA 3 times and they sent us a nice guy from eds towing and checked our car. He couldn't figure out of the issue as well cause we all thought it was the battery and roommate didn't have a cable. So he went back and grabbed a tow truck. Once we got to there place. We saw the most shadiest and goofy men. They got the car started but they wanted us to change the battery to one that they have no clue if it'll fit or the right one and try to get more money out of my roommate since they've already getting the money from the 3 AAA. The owner was out so we have to deal with the 3 Stooges. One is a newb, one has no clue how to check on there car computer, and last guy has no way deal with the payments.
They're nice and all but my god I've never seen very stupid mechanics in my life time. They might help you change your tires or jump your car on the road side but please don't bring your vehicles in there shop!
I have taken some time before adding a review as it was really hard to imagine this actually happening in the greater Ozarks... Ed's towing was apparently accidentally called out with another tow truck to help get a medical equipment vehicle unstuck in route to caring for a customer. When Ed's towing realized this, they blocked the road in such a manner and stated they would not leave until they got paid for showing up as well. When explained that they were preventing people from being taken care of and keeping people literally stranded until a ransom was paid, he did not care...this actually worked as I paid the man myself with my own money. Sure enough he then moved his truck and proudly sent me a receipt. Use his business or not....just know this is a representation of their values....
Rusty and Ed's Towing are nothing short of amazing. They provide service that goes above and beyond. My wife was traveling through and stopped in Mountain Grove when car trouble appeared. I did some googling and found Ed's Towing. Rusty showed up and saved the day in more ways than one. Not only did he take care of our car troubles, Rusty went above and beyond and made my wife feel safe. He was courteous, honest, and way an absolute gentleman. It was honestly refreshing to meet good hardworking people with integrity providing excellent service in the automotive industry.

Absolute life saver. I spent over an hour trying to find someone that was actually open like the internet said. I had called Dustin Ellis , who was out of town, and his wife referred me to Ed's. Very nice lady, thank you for your help! I called Ed's and the gentle man I spoke to met me at the shop to mount a tire after hours. Very greatful for your kindness and wonderful customer service. Now I can get my little brother off the side of the road and home. You are a blessing.
I can't say enough about the wonderful people who work here. Not only were they prompt in getting to us when we were broke down on Hwy60, but they went above and beyond that. Got us to the hotel, made sure we got checked in okay, and the next day work quickly to fix our vehicle so we could get home to Nebraska for Christmas. They kept us updated on what was happening with our vehicle at all times, and were very reasonably priced for the work they did. Another giant thank you to everyone there from The Palmer Family, and we wish yall a very Merry Christmas!!!
I rate this business five stars for three reasons. The first is the amazing customer service they have, Once when my wife, month old daughter and I were stranded a bit pass Cabool and our insurance sent them over and the man that drove that wrecker was an amazing and kind hearted man. Had us back in town in no time. Second was recently as I was moving and needed a U-Haul they conveniently had one available and were awesome in telling me all the info I needed to drive off in one. Third is simply because I wanted everyone who is able to see and read read my post to know that doing business with these guys no matter the situation will end up happy. Thank you!
