My experience here was nothing but frustrating. Once the sale was complete and issues arose any hope of resolution quickly disappeared. What's even more disappointing is how this reflects poorly on small dealerships overall. This kind of service gives a bad name to smaller businesses that are supposed to stand out for their customer care. If you're considering buying from here, proceed with caution.
DONT buy from this place ever their salesman James is shady...He's a nice salesman that likes to screw people over...I'm on a limited income and he new it but sold me a car that had bad rear lower control arms on it in which " HIS " personal mechanic shop that he tells you to take car to (which are scammers also) took them 10 days to figure that issue out and get it fixed and back to me but yet they also of course didnt say nothin bout any other issues wrong with the car like it having 3 broken motor mounts and broken transmission mount and several oil leaks ..Matter fact got told was best if i wasnt/ wouldnt drive it till got fixed so needless to say im now back with No car as i was when i bought from them..On Feb 14th 2024 I put $1500 down on what was suppose to have been a $7,000 car and weeeeell also turns out wound up paying alot more then $7,000 for the car and got told I shoulda paid more attention to the papaerwork before signing...Now im having a helluva time trying to gather money to get it fixed with me being on a fixed income plus trying to hold a roof over my head..So enless you wanna buy junk DONT go to this dealership...Jus trying to warn ya.!.!.Have a good day... If they woulda fixed the issues with the car I bought well I wouldn't be leaving this bad review..

I bought a truck from them and the frame ended up being to rotted for me to want to drive safely. I let james and the owner shawn know about my concerns they had me bring it back and gave me a full refund of my deposit. Shawn even offer to be looking for something else when he is looking for cars for his lot. For a first time car buyer from a dealer I could not have asked for a better experince and the fact that they did right by me means I will be buying from them in the future.
James was an absolute hero in helping get me into the car I wanted. Well priced and clean and ready to go when I got there, I love my new car. James showed a legendary level of patience while we spent all day dealing with insurance companies and was hugely proactive in my favor when it came to dealing with the financing company as well.
If I could give no stars I would. James is very inconsiderate and disrespectful. We've only had this car for a handful of months, and I have my 6 month with me and the car goes up in smoke...it was NOT a sale as is, they were supposed to have everything fixed before selling and nothing was done. I would never ever recommend them. WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!
So far so good. I just started dealing with them today but James made me feel good about my purchase. I look guard to working with him again on future vehicles.
Wanted a cheap older car for my use. James was great to deal with. We completed the purchase quickly. I'd definitely recommend this place to others in a similar situation.
James was super cool and upfront on the cars I was looking at. I would recommend them to most the people I deal with. The one downside is that they have a small lot with a small selection of cars.
Visited the dealership and bought a car and was informed that the full drivetrain and clutch was under 2 year or 24,000 mile warranty then the clutch goes out less then a week of me owning the vehicle then find out I have to pay 1400$ and 500$ down for them to fix my car I haven’t even made my first payment on?!?
Affton Autoplex has a great selection of vehicles ranging from boats, great cars and off roading vehicles. James and Shawn are tremendously helpful and determined to get you a loan regardless of your credit. I would shop with them again and recommend them to others who need help rebuilding their credit or otherwise.
James is a great salesman with no pressure to buy. He seems more like a good friend and willing to answer any question. If there’s a vehicle on the lot you like, save money and buy here to avoid big dealer mark ups!
I bought my 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck from this location and they worked with me on the price and were hassle-free when it came to looking around for a vehicle. They check in with you to see how you're doing to see what you're after and then let you look around on your own until you have some questions or if you need to see an employee, they're always close by without being obtrusive. Honestly, I was skeptical about buying a car from a used car lot, but I will tell you what, this has been the most dependable vehicle ever! I recently got it reinspected and it still passes inspection and it is a great truck. Not the most powerful but it gets you where you need to go and it's very dependable. So I trust these guys and I would buy another vehicle from them and I think you can trust them too!
Paid for a dirt bike for my sons bday ahead of time was told could pick it up at a later time because it was for his bday and it needed training wheels put on!!!! Went back to pick it up on his bday and the guy with 3 teeth said he knew nothing about it!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
If I could give more stars I would. James made my process so insanely easy. He was able to help me get a car I didn’t know I could! The whole establishment was there to help me. It’s rare for a dealership to care about you as a customer, but we got to the point where we started sharing stories back and forth. Real personable guy. 10/10 recommend this place for anyone looking for a car!
Bought a “new” dirt bike well we thought it was had it for a day and then it stopped working thought it could be just minor things but it wasn’t I took the bike back for them to fix it and long story shot they had it for 1 week and still didn’t fix it so they swamped it out for a different one but when it’s all said and done they gave me my money back I would not buy there they are VERY POOR when it comes to communication ! If your looking for a dirt bike with my NO problems DONT go to Jason and TJ ! Angry customer!!
This was my best friends first time buying in car on her own. She normally doesn't ever get very far because car dealerships normally call her and bug her and hound her while she's at work and that is one of her biggest pet peeves. The way that James handled the call back to her Hook, Line, & Sinkered her. He was never once pushy or aggressive at her, instead he was laid back said whenever she was free to come in and they get her in whichever vehicle she decided on. Once we got to the lot, we both actually had an excellent time buying her first car. All four guys we're awesome to us about everything. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for a new vehicle or a jet ski to contact them!!! Very impressive business y'all fellas have there!!!
They sold me a van and less than 2 weeks later the check engine light comes on. I take it to their shop and it's the cat converter. They reset the light, interestingly enough it didn't pop back on. Owner refuses to speak to me about it salesperson James yelled at me. Wouldn't recommend them to someone I didn't like. Now I'm out money for the vehicle, money for repair, still don't have valid inspection and emissions that were expired when I bought it. Never buy anything from here seriously. Avoid at all costs.
Found the car I was looking for and really cool people as well. James was more than helpful to me and I was able to get approved with sub par credit in my opinion. Definitely a good option to check out if you're looking for a new vehicle. They will treat you very well and try to accommodate every need.

Great experience. James answered all my questions, was very friendly and easy to talk to. The place is a small lot with about a dozen cars. I needed to buy a car quickly and found them online, I called their number and they picked up immediately I came out to check out the car and got it the next day after a small negotiation. Car was in good condition and priced fairly looking from interior to exterior workings. Would definitely recommend looking here to buy a car if needed to.
Wow. What an experience. I had Brandon as my sales person. Not only was he not educated about the car and credits associated with the vehicle. But in the test drive he sat on Instagram the whole time. When I told him that the vehicle wasn't exactly what I was looking for, he became rude and defensive.
I hope they have people better than him there.
I called this dealer looking for a part for a bike. The person I talked to o the phone was named Shawn. I asked him if he had an exhaust gasket for a motorcycle that he sells in his shop. He informed me that he doesn't sell any parts just motorcycles. When I asked him where I could get the part at, he became very rude and told me he only helps his customers, and hung up.
Little does Shawn know, I purchased three motorcycles for both of my son and stepdaughter about 3 or four years ago. Needless to say, I was a little upset to see this kind of treatment to any previous customer, or potential future customer.
Bottom line, this place doesn't sell parts, service, or even direct it's customers to where they can get parts for the bikes they sell. My advise to anyone reading this post is to go to a reputable dealer that has a parts or service department that sells common routine maintenance parts for the products they are selling.
I got a really good deal on a very nice vehicle. I've had it a few weeks now and I'm still thrilled. Sean is really great to work with.

Im showing my dad my 2011 Chevy Equinox for the first time he loves it and is so proud of me thank u again Dave. My dad said i picked out a good car n it rides great. Everyone is nice and really works hard to help you find a car for you. It fits my budget and on time payments are helping me build my credit. I had my car for a month now and like being driver much more than a bus rider.
I was looking for a Chrysler Seabring. Dave and the crew at autoplex made the whole experience easier. This is like if your uncle sold you a car. It was very personable and awesome. I would highly recommend this place to any one looking for friendly people to do business with.
Owner was very personable and nice when he was working hard to get me into a car (that I love!). After the sale, he seemed to be annoyed by repeated calls to have it detailed...which HE OFFERED to do seeing as tho he (said) and his family were using this car before he sold it to me. Gave up on it...my fault for buying a cruddy car.
DECENCY...is not lying about something just to make a sell. It was YOUR family's mud and crud that had the car filthy. SHAWN/SEAN/SHAUN you made 1 half assed attempt, not an appointment. Get over yourself then maybe ppl will rate you and your business better.
