Great service, car was totaled and they went to the shop and got it for me and was very patient on me getting the paperwork in order. Hopefully don’t have to anytime soon, but would use again.
I bought some parts from there had no problems at all I will continue to do business with him I just wish they had a return policy which I was told by the young kid after I paid for the parts no return policy
For years ive tried giving them the benefit of doubt, but they remain the same. Always say they will call back, but never do. Being "swampped" is not the reason, cause you can drive there and there will be noone there just employees. Ive called them two days in a row for them to ignore me, then told em to just come pick up my junker, said they were on the way and never called or showd. WORST ACE TO GO TO, EASE HEED WARNINGS AND LOOK ELSE WHERE
Short on the phone (almost yelling at me). Couldn't even tell me whether they had a plug wire for my engine, a very common 4.6 liter V8 for a Ford F-150 or other Ford model. He said, "just bring the wire in and I'll try to match it up!" Well maybe I don't want to drive all that way to have you tell me know I don't have it.
just e- mailed them to see if they can locate parts i have been searching for for 8 months across the US. the parts i am looking for are rare and replacement parts are no longer made. We will see if i get a response as to weather they can get it or not. btw they are quarter panels or a bed for a 79 f150 short bed.. next to impossible to find in good usable shape. 3 stars for now subject to change depending if i get a response email or not. if they have or locate the parts then10 stars and a customer for life
I called them to come and scrap out a totaled car which is sitting at a friends shop. They never came to pick up the car, they never called me to say otherwise, and when I called to ask about it (twice) I was told the the person I needed to speak to was not present and never received a call back. Please do not use this company, they are unprofessional and unreliable.
After calling this place for nearly 30 years it is a total "don't have" "can't buy" "can't do" "scrap is down" mentality that really makes you wonder how they even have customers
I called on a Thursday and then again on Friday, asking if they had a side headlamp for a particular car. Thursday they said they'd check and call me back. When I didn't hear anything by Friday I called again. A different guy said he'd tell the other guy to call me back (pretty sure he could have just checked it out). Neither one ever called me back. On the following Monday I called a different salvage place, got an immediate answer that they did have the part and picked it up within 2 hours.
Terrible customer service. Unbelievably rude. I called for a part and had to explain that their part cost twice as much as brand new. When I explained that they said they had labor which makes no difference to me when I can get a new one for less. Then in the middle of my sentence the woman yelled thank you and hung up on me. Never once was I anything but polite. I will be buying my parts new for cheaper from now on.
Quality used parts at a fair price! I go to Scratchy's every time I need a part, big or small. Scratchy's is a busy mom and pop shop, they do not have a lot of employees which keeps their prices low. If you do not get a quick call back, call them again, it just means they are swamped!
I have used this establishment for serveral part and have had no issue with them. Yes sometime they are a bit short and hang up quickly on the phone and yes I have called or sent them a message requested a part and they have not called back. I did not take it personal as I knew I was not the only customer they were helping. I simply called up again and got the answer I was looking for. Bottom line they either had the part I was looking for or they did not. They have been honest and fair and that is all I can ask. I am going there tomorrow to pick up a part and I will relay the feedback to them. Perhaps they might make an effort to call back and not be short on the phone.
I've been dealing with this yard for years, They just found a part that I've searched all over the USA for, and will be here tomorrow. They did call me back, and are a joy to do business with. Thanks Guys, and Lady!!!!
I also was told that I would get a call back about a part that I needed. Low And Behold no call back.... But then again what should I really expect from a place called "Scratchy's"?
