This place is a joke. Someone from here reached out to me on a forum I was asking for help on one day. Came up & talked to someone, & had a decent experience. Said if I ever had issues with anything else in the future, grab their card & get ahold of them. So I did - I have a very tiny issue/bug in my new transmission. Nothing crazy or super urgent at all, just wanted to see if they'd take a look at it & explained the situation how I had got the transmission from autozone a while back now. I've already had to warranty it out once because of a bad torque converter - however there's nothing like that going on. Just a harder shift/downshift. I just wanted to get it in before spring when my busy season is, no big deal right? Wrong! They basically said they didn't want nothing to do with it, they're booked for over 60 days & don't take appointments. Okay that's fine, businesses get busy - understandable. However, this came across to me like they were simply uninterested and trying to indirectly turn me down. I explained it wasn't a rush, and I only had reached out due to my previous experience. They are a bit of a drive, but I felt it would be worth it to not have to deal with warranty bs again! Anyway, they responded again by saying that I wasn't the type of customer they'd want to have & to basically kick rocks and just deal with warrantying it out, AGAIN. Easy to say when it's not your money & you've ALREADY done that & you know that's not what is needed. They wouldn't even say hey "sure we can possibly take a look at the very least, but it'll be a couple months", and I would have been fine with it or went elsewhere. However, their responses just came across as extremely arrogant, and condescending to me. I can take a simple no & other things. When you're a business though like this and YOU'RE the reason I even knew about the place... That's pretty wild to me though that you'd talk to & treat people like that, when YOU reached out to me first originally the last time to try & gain my future business. I actually remembered that & the nice experience I had prior so I decided to take em up on it, and THIS is what I got in return. Good luck to anyone dealing with these slow, condescending & arrogant jerks. If you want to deal with ALL that, then this is your place!! 🙃 They kept acting like I wanted it done right now & I was insisting an appointment. False. I was just asking what we could do, but they were dead set on just refusing me essentially. Again, I get being busy, but these kinds of responses telling me based on what I am saying, they don't want me as a customer is crazy lol. I type a lot obviously, that doesn't mean I am angry. I just am detailed so there's no questions or gaps in what I am saying. Maybe they took it the wrong way, but since im the customer, I think me taking how they talked to me the wrong way is more valid. Anyway, be careful dealing with jerks who try to make you feel bad for having an issue that you might want them to look at eventually. 🙄 They don't like that very much apparently. Better not have any issues ever! Im just glad I didn't actually buy the transmission through them. Not knocking their work either, just a very very very bad recent encounter.
Terrible customer service. All I did was ask for a quote Wich was told 3000$. I said oh I would have thought it would have been around 1200 bucks considering it’s a 20 year old 4l60e. The most basic rebuild. I was told then (good luck) with an attitude and the employee then proceeded to argue with me instead of just saying oh no it’s not that low etc. could of been a little more nice instead of being rude to someone who just wanted to talk about there transmission. A brand new 2wd unit is only 2k in the crate. Don’t recommend and I didn’t even get service. Glad I didn’t go with this place. GOOD LUCK

I have used advance transmission a few times and not just for my transmission. They are so easy to work with, very reasonable pricing, reliable, and family owned. I trust them with my cars as well as my kids. I recommend them to everyone. It's hard to find a repair shop you can trust and won't recommend things you don't need. This repair shop cares about their customers and does things right.
Advance Transmissions did a great job servicing my Dodge Journey. Noticed a leak and they were able to identify the problem right away and get me back on the road.

Had another shop tell me I needed a new transmission and quote me at 10k. Decided to take it here instead for second opinion. Was told to do a tune up and that could possibly fix the code that was being given. $85 and 6 spark plugs later my car is running great. They saved me 10k instead of just doing the work and making the money. Very honest group of guys which means a lot when your going into a shop as a female
Above and beyond. They have some really talented mechanics. They took my truck when no one else wanted to. They rebuilt the transmission and had it back to me within a week even with a custom engine/transmission setup.
I dropped it off a second time to have them take a look at a few things, they went above and beyond to re route my cooler lines and get me squeezed into the schedule. Can't say enough about them. Truly a hidden gem that should be much more popular. Very knowledgeable and customer service was top notch, along with great pricing I don't think I'll go anywhere else
Did a great job on my transmission for my Camry got it done in a reasonable amount. Time were very honest and very helpful. Will definitely go back if I Need any work done.
My Wrangler was having issues leaking transmission fluid, and another shop recommended a flush. Found these guys and they were able to get me in right away, while diagnosing the issue which was from the previous shop. They fixed the issue and had my Jeep ready for pickup within a few hours. For any transmission issues i definitely recommend this place!
I picked up my truck today after having my transmission rebuilt. Ken and Scott was awesome, they are the service advisors. It seemed like they're very honest guys and I wood highly recommend them. I got a better warranty from them than I did when I bought my truck new. I would highly recommend this shop. The way I look at it they saved me about $35,000, because I didn't have to buy a different truck.

I came from NY to pick up a truck I purchased from a private seller. The transmission blew 30 miles into our trip home. I googled some transmission shops around the area and found advanced transmissions. It was almost closing time for them, but one of the guys said he would stick around until the tow truck could delivery the truck. When I arrived he went over all of the options and advised me on the best way to proceed. I then went back to NY and waited for the truck to get fixed. They kept me updated with the progress and when it was finished we worked out a plan to pick it up on a Saturday. The truck drove home perfectly 750 miles. They also check all my fluids and looked it over for my trip. I'm very grateful I came across this shop in such a time of debacle. Thanks so much!
I recently took my SUV to Advance Transmissions based on a diagnostics from Firestone that lead me to believe a catastrophic issue with my transmission. The transmission was a rebuild and was only a few years old, so still under warranty. After calling around to a few shops, some would honor the warranty while some would not, I ended up taking it to Advance Transmissions based on the fact that they would service it under warranty and were the most responsive.
I'm really glad I did. I can't say things would have been worse at other shops, but I could totally see being taken advantage of elsewhere. The issue stemmed from a single missing o-ring. They had it assessed, replaced, tested, and ready in a day or two. And since it was such a simple fix, they made it free of charge. It was originally looking like it would be a lot of labor expense even if the part was under warranty. But instead, they were honest, courteous, and respected me as a customer. I'll definitely be taking any future business here.
One of the most honest auto repair shops I’ve ever seen. I worked with John. I told him my problem and over the phone. He helped me get my transmission working again saving me thousands of dollars I would highly recommend this transmission shop and the staff.
Brought my 2012 Chevy Sonic in suspecting it of having transmission issues. They were quick to tell me about a coupon they had for free diagnostics. They ran the Diagnostics and let me know that the issue I was having could sound like to be the transmission or two cheaper problems. They assured me that they would check every option that it could be. Received a call back and they said that it was probably a bad cv joint (i think) and they were going to get it up onto the lift after they had my approval and try to replace the part and if that worked they would drive it for a little bit and see if that solved the issue. They quoted me $500 at this point. I received a call back a few hours later and they said that my car was finished and ready to go, and that ended up not needing the entire new part as mine was still functional it was just loose. So they got everything back to where it was supposed to be, took it upon themselves to drain access fluid and refresh my fluid and even let me know that I had a bad tire that was going to be needing to be replaced. I went from being quoted $4,000, to $500, two upon picking my car up at a total bill of $142. These people were insanely nice and went above and beyond and were super honest as well. As a woman in my mid-20s I'm used to being taken advantage of at auto shops because they think they can tell me it would be any number of things and I would just agree to have it fixed... not this place, they do truly care about the customer and want to give the highest level of service they can deliver. I will recommend them to anyone that needs to go in for transmission work, and I will also return if I ever have another issue.
Took our family van by Advance Transmissions and they immediately pulled it in to look at an oil leak I am having problems with. They inspected it quickly and let me know that they don't do that kind of work, but that I should definitely go back to WALMART to have my oil housing looked at because it is cracked and I am extremely low of oil. AMAZING that they helped me find the problem but didn't charge me. I would have paid for this kind of kind help! No wonder they have such good reviews!
Those guys at Advance Transmissions are great. Even though they did not fix what was wrong with it, they helped point me in the right direction. Everything that my Nissan Rogue was doing pointed at the CVT transmission. After they did the diagnostic on it, they found that the transmission was fine. It had to do with the voltage on the pedal to the throttle body. When they called and told me what it was, they said the charge would just be for the diagnostic. Johnathan said if you look on our web page, there is a coupon for a free diagnostic, which everything didn't cost me anything. I live 3-4 hours away form them and that will be the only place I take my vehicles with a transmission problems. They are a good honest company.
Ken and Scott are some of the nicest people ever. We just had our transmission replaced/rebuilt by this business. Not only did he give us a very fair price, they got the work done in a week. They care about their customers as their transmission warranty is 3 years, 100k miles. They want you to return in 2 weeks, 40k miles and 80k miles, to check on things. We are happy to keep it local and to a family owned business. Highly recommend you check them out if you need a new transmission or rebuilt one.
I took my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 to this company because the transmission went out. I was able to get my truck back in a very timely manner and everyone there was super friendly and helpful. I also was thrilled to get a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty and they offered to look over the truck after 15 days at no charge to check for leaks. About 2-3 weeks after having the work done, my truck was leaking some transmission fluid. I called them in the morning and brought it in and they had it fixed by the end of the day. I use my truck for work hauling trailers and haul trailers for recreational use and have been very impressed on how well the truck is doing.
I took my car to this place even though it wasn't close to me because the reviews were so great. My 2012 Nissan Altima was having transmission issues (losing power after driving on the highway at high speeds and slipping). They decided to rebuild my transmission for $4,000 and a 3 year warranty.
The first warning sign that I should have taken my care somewhere else was that I was asked to text the place to remind him the day before my appointment. Then I had to follow up with the place every couple of days for updates while my transmission was being rebuilt because they never sent any updates and couldn't give me a day or estimated day it would be completed. They also don't accept credit card without charging a 4% fee.
After the transmission was rebuilt, I needed to get my transmission flushed and he couldn't confirm that it could be done the same day I dropped it off because "the building could burn down or employees could call in sick."
Throughout my 3 year warranty, I had to take the car back in 3 times for additional work on the transmission (was slipping) and had to pay for towing each time or my warranty would have been voided. Who knows if my car was every really fixed because I was too nervous to take it on long trips and before it was rebuilt by this company, I never had issues driving within the St. Louis area.
Finally, I had them fix my rear brakes (recommended by them) at the same time they were fixing one of the many issues I was still having with the transmission and just weeks later a different company (one I have used and trusted for years) said my front brakes needed to be replaced. I am confused as to why they recommended the back and not the front when either both were bad or they "fixed" something that wasn't needed.
All that being said, I find this company incredibly unreliable, unorganized, and not trustworthy. I would never recommend them to anyone.
Had my transmission rebuilt by this company and had issues immediately. They did not want to honor their warranty and the truck sat on their lot forever until I got a lawyer involved. After even longer of waiting and all they want to do it argue on the phone they finally “fixed” it under the warranty and it did not last long after that again. This time I had no warranty. I eventually took it to a more highly reputable shop to see the issue and when they took it apart they said it was missing bolts that hold the solenoids in place and the “transmission” fluid that was put in the trans was more like hydro fluid. By then the damage was done.
Took my 93 Chevy in and had my 700R4 transmission rebuilt in had a lock up torque converter setup with the electronics and vacuum. Shifts nice and firm no more slipping. They did a good job going through it all to make sure I wasn't going to have any leaks and all parts or new. Nothing better than having it done right the first time.
We took our '05 Trailblazer here to get our transmission rebuilt. After shopping around for a few days, I finally found this place. I immediately felt reassured about going here, mainly based on the fact that they provide a 3 year or 100k mile warranty on their rebuilds! On average, everywhere else I called, provides a 1 year or 18k mile warranty. So that, plus the great reviews and comparable prices, spoke toward the type of people they are. Which is that they know their stuff and are trustworthy...and that's exactly what I want in a mechanic! Especially one that has as big a task (as a transmission rebuild) to do. We've had our Chevy back for almost a month now and haven't had any problems. They check it again after 10-15 days just to be sure everything went as expected (for example, if something didn't seal right, they'll be able to catch it and fix it before any damage is done). They really care about doing a great job and making sure your vehicle transmission is good to go! I'll be sure to tell any and every one I know about this place, if they have any transmission issues 👍
