Over the many years I have always respected and trusted (my mistake) Dan's advice on repairs and parts. However, my husband's 2009 Ford F150 is the exception.
Repairs were done on 5/16/24 at 126,000 miles for $2000. New Ford cam fazers were supposed to have been installed, but were not.Two months ago (at 133,000 miles) the truck quit working. The cam fazer wire wrapped up the timing chain and broke the timing chain.
Bob tried calling you yesterday. Your staff would not let him talk with you saying "the work had been done 2-3 years ago!"
We have sent many customers to you for repairs and parts, and have spent a lot of money ourselves with you, but I hesitate in continuing to do so. I am very disappointed with your "customer service department.

I had them put a starter on my Toyota truck. They put a used starter on it only lasted a few months. I was told it was past their warranty and refused to help in anyway. I then called several times to put a new starter on. They kept telling me they would check on it but never a call back. I have reached out with several calls with never a return call. They could of at least tried to make it right but never one call back very disappointed in this company .I would not recommend there service.
Employees were helpful and had the parts I needed off quickly. Fairly and competitively priced and pretty good quality parts. Would recommend and would visit again.
Dan stole $1620 from me on a transmission that had bolts in the pan that was bolted onto the bad transmission. He blames it on the mechanic…. Well, he has that money & I have twice the labor and the fee for “reprogramming” the unit he said he needed to see before a refund was granted…. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THAT FRAUDULENT BUSINESS!!

one would help. "There's a few in the mud go figure it out " what I was told. I would NEVER treat a customer like that !! PATHETIC !!
Dan was upfront and honest. He bought our Malibu. I recommend to be upfront and honest about what's wrong with your car and try not to omit anything. You will get the best price for your vehicle when you don't try to be dishonest.
The gentlemen at H&W Auto Salvage were very helpful in assisting me with finding a 2016 Tacoma Transfer Case. Even though they did not have the part in their yard the individual I spoke with was kind enough to track the part down for me and give me the contact information of another Salvage Yard in Joplin that did have the part.
Saved me an entire days worth of driving around all over Springfield to check all the other Salvage Yards. Five Stars, would definitely recommend.
Edit: Tried to call again about a driveshaft and the person I spoke with was very unhelpful and wouldn't offer any assistance in helping try to track down the part. Called twice. Unfortunately got the same person both times who intentionally did not answer my question when I asked if he knew if anywhere else in town might have the part. Pretty disappointed considering how good my last interaction was with H&W.
This place is Àwesome! They didn't have my part, but went out of their way to help me. If you want friendly and knowledgeable customer service, Dan's the Man! Love this place!!
Super friendly and helpful even though I didn't know what the heck I was doing when salvaging a car. The lady was especially sweet and was super pleasant to pass time with while waiting for one of the gentlemen to finish the transaction. Would recommend coming here
Very dis honest people here especially the owner dan! Told me when I purchased a battery that it was a life time warranty. I asked again about warranty and pricing and dan confirmed said it was a local company and they honored a lifetime warranty. I sent multiple customers his way to purchase battery's because of the good deal. I owe apologies to anyone I sent here. My wife's car needs a new battery so I told her to go see Dan in which she was told oh that was just a joke. I don't find it funny at all. I used to bust my a$$ making sure vehicles he was wanting towed in got done. Went out of my way multiple times to help dan the drunk out and this is how we get treated. Called up there and he wouldn't even talk to me or call me back. Not a man of his word. First time he got me for money was with a friend of mine on an aluminum spindle but I thought I was probably just a miss understanding now this and there won't be a third time dan! STAY AWAY PEOPLE I WOULDN'T JUNK A LAWNMOWER OUT WITH THIS IDIOT!
Hell yeah! These guys rock and roll! I was getting over-quoted by some yahoos down in Branson and H & W helped get the car to Springfield, and got me back on the road for a fair price. Truly, so much gratitude. Give’m a hello for me if you stop by.
They didn't seem very helpful when I went to see about cars for sell they had. The 2 they did mention where higher end price wise for the vehicle kbb value. They don't take payments at all and don't seem helpful for people that can't pay higher prices.
But then who knows maybe I just went by on a bad off day for the people working. You never know
I can’t express how thankful I am for the service my grandparents received. They needed a transmission, and nobody in Kansas had one available. My grandparents made the 6hr+ drive to Springfield and one of the workers stayed over for an hour so they could get it that day. Even though this place was a last resort due to distance, we were far from disappointed with the outcome. We would willingly make the drive again for the service.
The guy there was great. I've been looking for a radiator for my Dodge Dakota. I've looked all over. But because they are linked to many other salvage yards he was able to find one at a good price. Definitely go back there.

Brian over on the auto sales side is a Saint! Sold me a great vehicle And even hooked us up with an oil change when it came time to need one. Everyone inside was super cool to chat with while I waited for my car to be finished, and Brian even fed me some of the badass food he’d made for the shop 10/10, highly recommended for all your vehicle needs!!!
I called them for a back bumper although they didn't have one in stock the gentleman was very nice and helpful and gave me names and numbers to yards that show one in stock. I will definitely contact them again when a need arises! Thank you!!!

Needed a replacement engine for my granddaughters Camry. Brian took my call, quoted a fair price and when I asked if they could install he said yes and quoted me that cost as well. Work was completed as planned. Car runs perfectly and I’m a customer that has some mechanical background, they did a nice professional job. Rough junkyard location but they practiced social distancing and were very professional.
I called and asked if they had parts I needed. The guy I spoke with said they did, quoted me a price, and told me they’d have them ready for me. When I showed up to pick my parts up they acted like they’d never spoken to me and were very dismissive. Not only were the parts not ready to pick up, they didn’t even have the parts I needed. All they had to do was tell me on the phone they didn’t have the parts, instead I went and picked up a trailer and drove all the way there to find out what they could have told me in the first place. Big waste of time, I wouldn’t trust them.
Worst experience I have ever had with a car repair. They are dishonest, deceitful, and will tear up more than they fix. To top it off then they charge you for their screw ups. I would not let them work on a weed eater after my experience with them. I never post reviews online but people need to be aware of a business like this!
I called about a wheel. They said they had the part. Came in, waited about 15 minutes for service, then it took them about 20-30 minutes to come back and say they did *not* have the wheel that size, just a donut spare. The donut spare was 13", not 14" which I needed, something they should have known was a possibility. At least they didn't make me buy it. The shop looked functional, and I think they know their business, but it's definitely not customer friendly for the uninitiated.
