Scammers! Don’t go to this place. I went in to get a check for inspection approximately 1.5 years ago. They told me I needed new tie rods and that it would be around $600. So I believed them, was going to get it done when I decided to go get a 2nd opinion. I went to another mechanic in Gladestone and he was 1000x more knowledgeable and trustworthy than these scammers. He said my tie rods look very good and didn’t even need changed at all. They want your money and will make up anything to get your money plus they take 5-6 hours+ to do any kind of service even if it’s a 10 min check up. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT service your cars here unless you want to give money to a bunch of scamming citizens.
Other one thing I can say about them, is that they do not try to oversell you things. They seem to just do what you ask? 45 minutes turned into 2 hours. Could have explained why there were so many people under vehicle to do an oil change. Because Valvoline apparently rounded off the plug. It took almost 2 hours to get a new plug. They really don't like you to come back and question anything that you've done.

My tires were in dire and the Manager "Mike" eased my anxieties, gave a fair price n his crew guy Chris provided all of the services with a great attitude with honest, good explanations. They made my day! The manager' handing is above 5 stars! I recommend this shop highly!
I brought my car in around 2pm . I was told by a worker that they would call me after they diagnosed the issue and would let me know if it was just a reset issue where they then would just reset it free of charge. (My tire pressure sensors went out- a simple issue) I go back up again at 4 pm after not hearing anything yet where I am told that my vehicle was next in line. I get a call at 5:40 that my car was ready for pick up, Alluding that the issue was fixed. I told them I would come in the morning to which they told me they were unable to fix the issue?? I believe my car was not even looked at or checked at all by the mechanic I gave my keys too (unsure of his name, Hispanic male , early or mid 30’s) This was highly unprofessional and inconvenient of them to have held my car overnight and not let me know sooner that my vehicle was unable to be serviced. This is unacceptable, I will never return or recommend!!
We have been loyal customers here for years. They are always the best! They are courteous and kind and understanding. Great quality work. We love the warranties that they offer on their labor and their parts. I have to give a special shout out to Mike because he is absolutely incredible! Thank you guys for all you do.
My elderly Father-in-law hit a curb and bent the wheel so my husband toke it to this store and asked if they could order a new wheel. Sean Harvey said bring it in and let me look at it. He looked at the wheel and said yeah we can bend back in place with no problem. In less than 10 minutes I had the wheel and tire with balance done and with no charge due to us being a past customer. Customer service was supreme. Honest and appreciated!
Gave me an estimate a week ago and told me how long it would take. The $$ was was spot on and they did not take as long as they estimated. Keep me informed at all stages. Very professional and personable.
10/1/2025 UPdate: I was contacted by someone from Big O Tires, they apologized and offered me a free oil change, I had already had my oil changed so they said I could use it on my next one. I will update this post again after that. I wish zero stars were an option because that is what Big O Tires deserves. I called their location, scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 1:00. I get there, check in, and an hour later leave. I guess the guy that was supposed to be doing my oil change is AWOL, they think he went on lunch. At 1:45, I asked why my car still had not gotten in, he told me they had scheduled several appointments at 1:00 and some people had arrived early, I got to my appointment at 12:50, 10 minutes early. This place is a joke. 10/1/2025 Update: the GM reached out to me and offered a free oil change. I will update my review after that appointment.
These guys here take care of you for a reasonable price they get the job done right and they have good tires. this is my second vehicle at this location I've not had any issues here at all the times I have been here. They know what they are doing here. I got tires balance, rotation, a tire sensor. As well they took good care of me and was very informative about what needed to be fixed on my custom rims. If you ever have problems with your vehicle bring it here theses guys know what they are doing and they are honest. This is the smoothes my truck has ran on the road. I'll be coming back to this location for all my needs.
I purchased 4 tires and was charged $89.99 per tire , however the ad for this same tire was $79.99. I left the store and came right back after looking over my receipt and seeing the error. Spoke to Sean who was the person who I had been working with. He was very rude and condescending. Seems like he had a issue with me confronting the issue. Needless to say I did not receive my $40.00 back. He said he would alert the Manager because he couldn’t help me with this. I asked approximately how long for me to hear back from the manager. Sean stated I’m not him so I don’t know. I left and sent a email to the manager. Now awaiting response from the manager. Will update this review if anything changes. If not, will take the next step.
If Mike answers the phone you’re in luck. Great guy and will always get you taken care of and he will do it quickly!! Now if Sean answers you might as well hang up. Dude is rude to his customers and try’s to put words in your mouth. He’s also even more rude to his employees which are all amazing guys!! Definitely will only be coming here when Mike is working due to my experience with Sean being horrific!
They flat-out lied to me. I was told there were two people ahead of me and it wouldn’t take more than an hour. Over an hour later, I come back and—guess what, still ‘two people ahead of you.’ Their excuse? ‘We had people call out today.’ That’s not an excuse for lying to a customer’s face. Then, they refused to give me names or corporate’s number, which tells me they know exactly how bad their service is. Poor staffing is one thing, dishonesty and zero accountability is another. This place is a joke
They told me i had two people ahead of me, and it wouldnt take more than an hour, they Lied. I left and came back OVER an hour later and when asked they said "there are two people ahead of you"...still after over an hour? "We'll we had alot of people call out today" and then they refused to tell me anyone's names, or give me corporates number....their lack of employees does not constitute lying to your customers about the time they will be waiting.
Hot Saturday afternoon, middle of mowing and tire came off the rim. Called a few spots and no one could take it, guys at Big O on Englewood said to bring it on in and they'd give it a look. Got me in and got it sorted out real quick, great service and really appreciated the extra effort to get me out of a jam, hot, rain on the way, and mower sitting, tire-less, in the middle of my yard.
Big O Tires was able to get two tires mounted and balanced for my daughter's car with no problem. They were on time with the appointment and their service was good.
Drove from Indiana to KC and noticed a tire issue halway there. We limped it there and they were able to replace all 4 tires to get me back on the road. They even stayed late to make it happen. I totally recommend them. Very friendly and helpful. 5 star all the way!
Mike and Sean are great. I trust them and the mechanics here to accurately diagnose any problems with my car and to tell me honestly what services are needed. I also trust them with recommended maintenance for my car. Have been using this location ever since Big O Tires took it over and have never had a negative experience.
My first experience was from an emergency situation. Thank goodness no one was hurt. I received the BEST service. Everyone I was in contact with was courteous and they all really made me feel like everything was going to be okay. I have continued to reach out to them for service. They are my go-to place. I have referred family, friends, and even strangers (eavesdropping in elevators and grocery lines) and they tell me about their great experiences too. Except the strangers.
Went to the Liberty location initially after being promised service but were told, “Nope. We’re absolutely booked.” Came to the Gladstone location and were helped immediately. Wheels and tires mounted, balanced on the car in under 2 hours. Great customer service and transparency. Will definitely be coming back.
I went in because a roofer's nail punctured my tire. I did not have an appointment, but I only waited for about an hour and a half. They plugged the hole and did not charge me which was nice. The workers were respectful and courteous. I would definitely go back, but hopefully not for the same reason.
Took car to have front end checked, as wife slid into curb due to snow and ice. Left front tire and wheel. Asked Mike Augustine(manager) to check everything out. He told us car was ready to pick up. When we did Mike said, they checked it out,did an alignment that car was ok. In less than 700 miles left front tire was wore out,with steel cords showing. We took car to another actual Mechanic. He told us left control arm,tie rod end and cv shift was damaged and dangerous to drive. We had all damage repaired. Car is now fine. I went and spoke with Manager Mike Augustine (Big O manager, on Englewood Road KCMO)about this. His answer was that on the paperwork is what was recommended to be done. 90% of which was upselling on what had already been done 6 months before. (By a Trusted Mechanic) Although control arm and tie rod end was also recommended. I feel they should have been Honest with us and Expressed how serious the damage was. That my wife was at serious risk of having an Accident if she continued to drive it. Due to this incompetence we no longer trust this Big O establishment. We also were not offered any type of apologies or compensation. ALSO HOW COULD THEY HAVE DONE AN ALIGNMENT AND CHARGED US FOR IT ,WITH DAMAGE THAT WAS SO BAD. Main reason I went to this Big O location is I ĥave had 3 vehicles that I had them put new tires on. So I thought I Could TRUST them. They have several signs up in the waiting area of how much Big O can be trusted. CERTAINLY NOT AT THIS LOCATION!!! I SHALL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. Probably not any Big O locations. BEWARE OF THE SMOOTH TALKERS AT ENGLEWOOD LOCATION!!! Any service work I have had "done" here is now in Question???
Big O Tires provides convenient, honest, competent work for a fair price. You feel like you’re communicating with friends, while you’re there. The waiting area provides coffee, bottled water, vending machine and comfy chairs. The customer service and level of care will make you come back time and time again. My car battery was dead on the coldest weather we had in February 2025. Sean Harvey went above and beyond my expectations by coming to my home to jump start my car, amazing! I drove to Big O Tires and he replaced my battery but also found that my rear brakes were bad. I had no idea which could have caused damage to the car or possibly getting in an accident! Sean took the time to fix my car, make it safe for me to drive and he made me feel like a very valued customer! I would definitely recommend Big O Tires 700 NW Englewood Road KCMO great guys, amazing customer service!
Mike and the team at Big O Tires in Gladstone are amazing! I was in the area and called to get a flat repaired last minute and they got me scheduled at a time that was convenient for me. I was there less than an hour which isn’t bad for squeezing someone in. Highly recommend this location, they are genuine, efficient, and courteous to everyone who walks in the door. This also isn’t the first time they’ve helped me out in a bind. Thank you Mike and the team for helping out when my procrastination got the best of me!
I really appreciate the team at this location. Even during a busy time they were still able to work me into their schedule. I have always had a good experience when I've visited this location. This last visit I called and got a hold of Sean Harvey who was able to work me in at the last minute. I had a long road trip and was hoping to not have to worry about my tire going flat on that trip. Thank you to Sean! Also while I was in the waiting area a woman came in that was looking for Discount Tire and they were able to work her in as well. She was very thankful as she was telling me that Discount Tire was attempting to sale her something other than what she was looking for. Mike helped her out and she seemed very grateful that they were able to work her in like they did me at the last minute at closing time. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication to your customers. We are very grateful for your kindness and hard work. These guys constantly go above and beyond!
I’ve purchased a few sets of tires from here for different vehicles. Great service. Prices are high (everywhere is high), but slightly cheaper than Discount Tire. I really appreciate that they do alignments here.
Super nice people, didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. Set an appointment for the next day. Took my car right in as soon as I got there. Clean shop and great location.
I have had about a year of recurring services with this location on a vehicle which has needed suspension system services, aligning, new tires, state vehicle inspection, and had flat tire repairs including free replacement with Road Hazard coverage that is reasonable in price. They also offer routine maintenance packages for a year's services (alignment/tire rotation etc.) That save $ in the long term. Always been able to schedule appts within same-day or next and all quality service in each category... Helpful staff.
