My trailer started throwing smoke from the axle on I-29 on our drive from Oregon to Leavenworth, KS. Bolin was recommended to us after asking around St. Joseph for an honest place to help us out before we made our final leg of the trip up to Wisconsin. They told me they would likely be able to get to it in the morning. I assumed they would be giving me a call to tell me what was wrong, and I was expecting a few days to get the work done. They called me the next morning telling me the work was already done and it was road worthy again. They really helped us out in our time of need, and the price we paid to get the trailer back on the road was excellent. I HIGHLY recommend Bolin to anyone in need of trailer repairs.
Great group of parts people! they took care of what I needed and found the parts I needed considerably cheaper than the competition did. I highly recommend anyone to go to Bolins to get the parts they need for big trucks. they had an excellent inventory and what they didn't have they could get in a short time.
We were stranded on I-25 5 miles into Iowa Thursday late afternoon with our 5th wheel trailer axle at a strange angle due to a broken spring. After spending 2 1/2 hours trying to locate a place to repair our Montana, (without luck) I was now calling places 80 miles away. A RV dealer in St. Joseph Mo. recommended Bolin Auto & Truck and I called, not realizing they were closed but someone answered (turned out to be Sue Bolin) who connected me with her husband Rob Bolin who also happened to still be in the office. He recommended a towing company and asked that I keep him posted on our progress. The towing company's low boy trailer was being used on a 18 wheeler recovery at that time and couldn't help us until the next day. the next day Rob Bolin helped me get the tow company, had his crew ready when we arrived, did the complete repair quickly, helped me get the replacement tire that was destroyed and cared for us as if we one of his many life long customers. Kindness, professionalism, integrity, and true caring are some of the words that express how we were treated. I would gladly drive from our home, across the state of Missouri to do business with these wonderful people again. 5 STARS is not enough, please double that for me.
This company is amazing. The drive train broke on our RV on Sunday morning and we had it towed here at the tow truck drivers recommendation. It was ready before noon on Tuesday. The price was amazingly good. We received far better treatment than if we would have had it towed to Kansas City. Thank you Bolin.
Service has always been great and they usually have anything ive needed .Since its changed ownership will see if new owners can maintain it that way or if they will make it into another chain store .Let the parts guys continue to run it and order in parts that they know that sell in the area and it will stay the best the best parts place around .
Remeber those glory days when it was family run businesses? When people had pride in what they did? That is exactly what the Bolin family gives us, now in its 3rd generation. From the old brick building, to the courteous staff. Mr Bolin himself went above and beyond to see that i got what i needed. The prices are far lower than dealerships or the truck stops. My only complaint is i didnt have more money to spend. Support this fantastic business.
Great place for med size truck and hard to find parts as well as everyday parts. These guys always have it. Stop here first so you don't do a bunch of running around from store to store. Short lines with no wait. They Hager ya in and get ya out.
Very disappointed that Robert is no longer running bolins and that it sold out. One of the last truck stores around with knowledgeable people. Very sad to see it change. Won’t be doing much business there anymore
Super helpful people. They appreciate their customers and will do what they can to get you what you need if they don't have it in stock. Better than a big box store
