I just had problem with driver side memory control on my 2017 Chrysler 300 C I took it to the dealership and they tried to charge me a arm and a leg, took it autoworx and they were honest and told me it wasn't broken that it had came off the clips that hold it together and they put it back and just charge me for taking the door off.Its very rare to see a honest shop ,honesty is hard to come by and I appreciate Midwest Autoworx for being honest and reasonable.

Great place to go if you like throwing money away. Been going to these guys for about 4 years now despite it being overpriced. Service has gotten progressively worse, to the point I just leave angry every time. Came in the other day because one of my axle seals had a minor leak, spent a fortune on their service for a $50 part. (Two days later my car started making a horrendous screeching sound at low speeds on the side they fixed). Before I could pick up my car, they felt the need to send me an 11 page invoice of about $6k worth of other "services" my car apparently needed with virtually no proof that any of it actually needed fixing. When I politely declined, they were quick to wag their finger and try to scare me by saying I was going to damage my car by driving it in its current condition. Went down the street to get a second opinion from another mechanic and they called BS on it all. Oh, and they looked at my car for free. That's right, you don't need to spend $89 just for these guys to LOOK at your car. Last important note to consider--they (or some third party they use) definitely sell your phone number when you request an appointment online. The constant spam calls since I scheduled the service have irked me so bad that I just had to write this review. Do not trust these guys with your time, money, or vehicle--they will find a way to cost you hundreds in repairs. Will be steering clear from here from now on.

Took my car in for an inspection and I was told I had a brake problem. They quoted $1,200 to fix the brakes. I could not afford that so I took my car back. It came back to me with smoking brakes. It did not have this problem before.

These guys were true professionals. Went over the issues with the vehicle very well. Documented and communicated the whole process of inspection and repair. Lots of suggestions to get my 2013 Mini S back on the road and enjoying the ride. S/O to Ian, Eli, and my service advisor JJ. Teamwork made the dream work!

Highly recommend! Great customer service, were very thorough and kept me in the loop the whole time my car was there.

Took my car in to get looked at. I was not told about any fee or charges just to get it checked out even after the phone call saying it was ready there was no mention. They checked it out and returned it to me saying "nothing was wrong with it" and charged me $200. If this amount was expressed to me earlier it would have been different but combined with the fact that they provided me no resolution for my issue I have to give low stars.

I was needing a last-minute Pre-purchase inspection, and Midwest Autoworx got me in quickly! They not only affirmed the vehicle was safe to purchase, but also listed all upcoming maintenance recommendations in documentation, so I could bring that to the dealership and use the information to negotiate a favorable deal and offer. Eli even took the time to teach me about the different things to be aware of with the type of vehicle I was purchasing!

We bought an old Honda as a first car for our youngest and took it in to get it checked out at Midwest autoworx. It needed some repairs and updates, but Eli did not try to up-sell. We appreciate that. The work was done quickly and for a reasonable price. We will definitely bring our vehicles back.

I communicated with JJ. My car needed a new fuel pump as the fuel sender float was malfunctioning. I received a thorough diagnostic report and JJ explained all work needed in detail. The total was on the expensive side, but still within the expected range and parts are under 5 year warranty. All in all, I felt good about my experience.

Everyone was so kind and helpful, they even recommended a reasonably priced shop to have my windshield replaced. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain the repairs they recommended and why. I’ll never go anywhere else.

My daughter goes to college at Mizzou and her car was making a loud noise. I called Eli and he checked the car out and determined it was something minor, a rock in the brakes that fell out, and no longer a problem. He didn’t charge us at all for taking the time to thoroughly look it over. Great customer service!!!

I called Midwest autoworx on the 21st of October and asked them when i could get my car in and they said they could work it in the very next day whenever mercedes didn't want to work on it. It seems my car is fixed and my car feels like new now. Ti's is a great place for my type of car cause its a smart fortwo. Places thay actually work on these cars are few and far between.

I needed to get a safety inspection done immediately so that I could register my car. All the shops that I called were iffy on if they’d be able to get me in same day, until I called Midwest Autoworx. They said they could have me done by lunch. So I went and dropped my car off then Ubered home. A few hours later, I got the call from Autoworx that I didn’t even need the safety inspection because of the mileage and year of my car. So, I wasted over 3 hours for nothing (my fault not Autoworx), and they saved me some money by not just doing the inspection and charging me anyway. So, I really appreciate the honest and efficient service from Midwest Autoworx. They were top notch on a very hectic day of running back and forth to get my car registered.

Tried to up-charge me on fixing the issues on my car. When I decided to go elsewhere & pay them for engine diagnostic, they told me 200$ JUST TO LOOK at my car. When I complained, they immediately made it 100$ cheaper. Definitely a shady business that takes advantage of customers. Extremely overpriced & disappointing. Better luck taking your car elsewhere!

They were awesome to work with! I was able to get in before my scheduled time. The did my state inspection and found a broken part. The front desk came to me with the issue, and had a quote ready to go. They were able to resolve my issue same day!

They did a good job on the brakes. Price was 30 percent higher than expected and the sales pitch for additional service was aggressive and overpriced.

I got 123,00 miles on my Highlander and 123,000, miles on my Sienna. And it was time to do a lot of stuff to get both where it needs to be. Because of cost i take each in every 5000 miles and have more done on a very long list. The personnel at Autowork wor very well to get my both Automobiles up to snuff.

I am so impressed with Midwest Autoworx. I walked in needing an inspection and was helped and out the door in minutes. My own dealership and other shops couldn't get me in for over a week for a 2 minute VIN and odometer inspection. Not only was it great service but everyone was genuinely nice. Highly recommend.

Went in for a state inspection, and they gave me a ride back to work while I waited! Everyone was professional and efficient, and I would highly recommend this shop. Their waiting room looked cozy, was stocked with coffee, and had the biggest jade plant I’ve ever seen!

We happened to have some vehicle problems passing through Columbia MO and decided to bring our vehicle here. I am so glad we did, the service we were provided was spectacular. They inspected the car and did everything they possibly could to get it fixed and ready to go. The did continuous check ins to let us know what was going on with our vehicle and how much everything would be. They were very transparent with our car issues and worked as quickly as they could with still being thorough. This place was so accommodating, if you’re looking for a great local auto shop this is the place!

Had to have some service done on my son’s Nissan Rogue so I took it to Midwest Autoworx after hearing good things about them. They lived up to all the good things I heard and made what could have been a very painful shop visit go extremely smooth.

The guys at Midwest Autoworxs did a great job with my grandpas truck and truly took care of it for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! They even let me use a car so I could get to class and work.

Very friendly and communicative team! My Jeep got a dashboard alert for "service shifter" and I was nervous what the damage would be. They got it in, fixed quickly and reasonably, and recommended other maintenance based on milage to make sure everything runs smoothly, but without pressure or pushy sales pitch. I also asked if they could do an ID/OD inspection while they had it, and they said, "no problem!" and had it when I picked up my car. Nothing but good things! I've lived in Columbia for 4 years and finally found my 'go-to' car guys.

Eli and the gang over at Midwest auto Works did a fantastic job in diagnosing and fixing my 2015 Ford Mustang as best as my warranty provider would allow. Lol but I will be seeing him really soon and I suspect I’ll have the same great service. Way to go Midwest auto Works keep up the good work.

Thankful to find a place to take our vehicles since we moved to Columbia. They were thorough and honest. Found the issue And fixed it for what felt like a reasonable charge. Will definitely use them for future car issues!

I went to MO Autoworx for the first time this past week. Setting up an appointment was really easy and they had tons of times available! They got my car fixed in about a day and it runs well now. They were transparent with the issue and pricing and had pictures on a website showing were the issue was with recommendations for what I should do and how much it would cost. They also called me to tell me the major issues and their recommendations. They weren’t pushy on upselling items I didn’t need and even asked if I wanted to see the issue in person so I could decide on my own. I would recommend this shop! (Edit) There was an issue 2 weeks after I took my car into MO Autoworx. They replaced my throttle but it wasn’t wired correctly because there’s 4 different ways to wire a jeep compass. The guys got me in within 5 minutes of me calling them and did the work for free to rewire it. Got the car back before the end of the day. These guys are quality. They care how they look and go to lengths to fix issues. Great Auto shop.

My wife and I were passing through to go see the grandkids in Iowa and our serpentine belt broke on our 2009 bmw. Found Midwest online and they were very helpful. Even arranged a tow for me. It was a Friday and they quickly got the car in the shop and began working on it to clean out the old and see what the issue was. They tried to find a new belt and there was not one in town. They gave me a courtesy ride to a rental place. They are top notch service. As soon as they received it the next week they put it on. They gave me a couple courtesy estimates and I did have them clean my lights and change the cabin filter. No pressure sales just honest service. Returned and they picked me up at the car rental place. Thanks guys you made a stressful situation much better.

Took my sons car into them wasn’t sure what was wrong thought it might be head gasket but to diagnose it for sure told them several times the car never overheated ( they say I said it overheated) was quoted a price to fix ($4500) I had them do other thing while the motor was out put $2200 down got the car back they found another problem they fixed paid $5436.19 ($2500 was extra stuff I had done) got the car back and within 24 hours it was running the same as when it went in took it back they fixed a couple other thing but said it still wasn’t right they thought the computer needs flashed or the valves need adjusted so I asked since they just had the heads off won’t that be on them they said no $737 and the car is off to Subaru to get looked at after diagnosis Subaru said the valves need lashed and it should of been done when it was put back together at Midwest and I have talked to another Subaru dealer and a couple mechanics I know who all said the valve lash should of been checked before reinstall. Midwest stills says no and Subaru is charging $3400 to fix what they say is Midwests mistake. Update After Subaru pulled the motor they found almost $1000 in damage to the motor that Midwest did to it and the car was out of time have pictures to prove it Midwest said the pictures don’t prove anything. So after fixing all they messed up and finishing their job (6 other shops said they should of checked the valve lashing) thanks to Subaru the car runs good. Your response shows you don’t listen to your customers, I wasn’t driving the car back to Columbia, I live in Holts Summit. This coming from the guy who called me back to yell at me for arguing with the service manager who tried to tell me when you plain a head you don’t remove any metal and I said that is the point in planning the head and then he tried to tell me not enough to make a difference, any amount is enough to make a difference and timing the car was part of the job you were supposed to do and the pictures clearly show it is not in time.
