Never been treated with more pure disrespect, the lady in the office needs to be taught on how to treat customers, I called yesterday just to confirm everything, yet this morning it was aweful, I drove from Hattiesburg, I refused the sale after how she attempted to treat me , I made a call to west jones recycling and got treated like a person should get treated, they paid me top dollar and was in and out in 30 minutes. They will continue to receive all my future business, I have over 300 air conditioners to scrap. Y’all deserve a 0 ..
This was the worst experience I've ever had at a scrapyard. First we called them to be sure they were open. They said they were. We Got there and had a piece of coating on one of the wires they wouldn't let us pull it off the lady said we had to do it off their property. So we pulled out and got it off which only took a half a minute and pulled right back in and the man run out and put an orange cone in front of our vehicle and said their closed. We told them we were out if gas our gas light was on they said it wasn't their problem. We do alot of business with scrapyards and we've encountered some rude people but never have we had people cussing and hollering at us the way we did their. I will never do business with them people again nor will I recommend them to anyone.
A bunch of crooks that want show you there copper weight, then when u question them about it they go all stupid, and want to fight, and threaten you, tell u they don't have to show you nothing, you tell them to put your 55 gallon drum of #1 back on your truck and they refuse, wants to come to my truck and threaten me and try to rip my passenger door open as I was trying to leave, can anybody say lawsuit.?? I should have left as soon as I pulled up, he was threatening and cussing a black man over a car that was brought in, should have been my sign, ( never again will they pull this on me again, lawyer already called, over 3/4 of a 55 gallon drum burnt and packed, with starter field coils which are big #1 copper they claimed was only 160 lbs. Bull. Good luck to all of you.

Not a place to go for efficient prices or times. They also don't offer fair pricing in my opinion and they are not friendly. In fact they tend to have the gate open when you get there and the hours reflect it's open however upon getting on the scale they inform you they are closed. Don't go to Magee one just
Unloaded a load of short iron where a employee of l&d's told me to unload,got to the window to collect my cash the check out woman paid me for tin over a 5 dollar difference in price. I told her it was short iron and she replied well you put it in tin pile. I told her I was gonna go load my stuff back up because I put it where their employee said put it and even had the employee come tell her it was short iron she still wanted to pay tin price. I told her they should put signs up letting people know where to unload the woman won't see me on their scales no more laurel recycling will get all my scrap from now on.
To the oversize woman that pays out you are very rude and a smart azz trying to pay people less just to get another cheese burger for free using stole cash.... Not this time ha... Everyone look at your ticket before taking cash fair warning
People are rude and get mad because you can’t hear when they speak and don’t pay good at all gave $30 for a stainless steel commercial deep freezer that weighed 1,000 pounds
The only Reason they’re getting to Stars is because of their prices but do yourself a favor Laurel recycling price matches so just use their higher prices with the better service at Laurel recycling. Every time we went to L and D the one actually considered in pendroff ( sp) bringing $500 loads of short iron they were rude because we were there at 4 o’clock when they clearly stated they close at 4:30 so much though they were talking about us to the other employees behind our bags like we couldn’t hear them but blatantly talking to us because they were loud. Saying one thing to our face but they wouldn’t they wouldn’t deal with us again under there breath, and then if we could be here by 3:30 then they wouldnt do us, yet every time we got there at four they’d weigh us in so that’s kinda confusing. We don’t require their help we could do it quicker on our own, ask both of my tail lights that I didn’t even receive an apology for. That was the skinny man with lazy eye, the woman that weighs in is also so freaking rude!!!you lost our service don’t know if that hurt you at all but it don’t hurt us either anymore
I just want to try to correct some of the confusion. The reviews that I am reading about this place Are not true or not that I have seen. I have been doing business with them for a few years. I have never had any issues or any problem and I have always gotten top dollar for my scrap. The only thing that I can think of these reviews are coming from the Competition L and M scrap that is located on Ellisville boulevard.. L and M is a very small time business and they try to cheat you every chance they get and are horribly rude.
The RUDEST people to deal with in the scrap industry.... and I have been to most all of the local ones around here! By far, worst!... I will not be back there, for sure!.... #what@joke!?
Employees are very rude and disrespectful.. Everytime I leave there I tell myself I'll never go back.. I'm sticking to my word this time! Absolute embarrassment to the community..
I will not be back!! The workers were very rude and I felt very uncomfortable not being heard. I was only trying to understand! Copper $2 a pound for number 1... Everywhere else $2.50...
Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere!!
If there was less than one star I would go lower!!!! We were told they were closing at 2 on Saturdays (the gates close at 1:45) for the holidays...so we drive 40 miles and get there at 1:39 fully loaded down only to find they have done locked up and went home!!! Now we will have to haul a load of scrap iron around for the weekend and to church with us tomorrow ...thanks alot L&D for lying and putting people in a bind...Happy Holidays to you too!!!!!!!!!!
Service is okay but you need better employees they harass people on social media while they are on your clock or they allow their family members to do so using their name . It doesn't look good for a business when their employees name is all over Social Media making fun of a handicap person . The actual buisness itself is a wonderful asset to Jones County but yard staff has some issues with being very rude .
Can't have a normal conversation about another scrap yard paying 10 cents more for cans per pound because if you say a word about their prices they will yell at you tell you not to come back! Only 10 cents it's not a big deal to me but apparently either they are dirty thieves or maybe they are struggling and are broke, but either way disrespect to customers and rudeness is NOT the way to grow a positive successful business. No worry's Mr rude fat guy who's name I will never learn. None of my family, friends, employees or anyone I come across will ever grace you with their presence if I have anything to do or say about it!!!
