I can't say enough positive things about this place. I was very hesitant and didn't know what I was doing (first timer), but Brad at the counter, and his son at the scale, were both very helpful! By my 2nd, and 3rd load, they were calling me by name. Very smooth and quick process, and friendly! Thank you so much.
Only place i go to.turn in my scrap for some cash. Great guys working there. You can see your weight driving on the scale and when you have copper, brass, etc you can see how much weight is there. Seeing the scale alone makes them better than midway
I went on the website. I verified that they would take what I had and saw that they would pay me today via an on site atm. I showed up at 10 minutes close. They were quick getting me in and out but I was shocked to find out that there is no ATM on site and that they do not even pay you for your scrap when you bring it in even though it says they currently do on their website I assure you they do not. I was told they will mail me a check a week from today and then wait however long for the usps to deliver it. Also, you cannot go and pick it up either for some reason. I was told that this is now state law as of last August. All im saying is that would have been nice to know when I looked at the website instead of the opposite info. Its almost a year since they claimed it became law. Someone wana update the website maybe. Sorry I'm just a little irritated you go online looking for accurate information so you can be prepared and you don't get it it's like what's the point of having a website in the first place you know. Side note the guy dealt with got a little snotty with me when I was asking questions about this new law I didn't know anything about it I wasn't trying to give him any attitude I was just asking questions it's weird for a grown man to get snotty with you like a preteen would like what the hell is that about anyway. I wouldn't have asked those questions if I'd have gotten accurate information from the website think about that
If you bring cans here load them up with water first, they will deduct the maximum contamination amount either way. I had clean/dry cans that were in a barrel in my garage for over a year. They still decided to deduct their maximum amount for contamination. Legit deductions I get, my last two times there was pure scam. Never again.
I've been trading (scrapping) on the side for 12 years, and have chosen to trade exclusively with the st cloud Northern metals location for the last 10 years. Competitive and honest prices, very friendly staff in all the departments, and they've got the equipment and staff to take care of ya in reasonable time - even on their busy days. Wether ya wanna unload yourself, or you need the magnet or the claw for the real big stuff, they got ya covered. Poor service. called them they said they would take what i had i said ok im on my way it took me 10 mins to get there and when i did they told me they were closed and that they always tell people to be there sooner when they never did tell me. I went just a few blocks up the road and found a place that would take it.
I just read reviews and I've taken scrap here for years and never had a problem actually I would go no where else. To the people who complain some advice .first know what your bringing and if you don't know don't try and lie .Places like this help the world with recycling and we get a few extra bucks

Do not use their roll off service I ordered a dumpster yesterday for a clean out I met the driver at 330 pm when he dropped it off the only way he knew we where to put it was he called me to verify where he was to put it when he got to tech we told him we would call him when it was full the next morning I noticed the dumpster was gone b4 8 when I went to northern I spoke with Tessa she verified it was picked up and told me I didn't talk to the driver I requested to speak with Justin the manager he again said that the driver never met with anyone needless to say the took it early b4 it was full just to charge me
