I spoke to the owner Phil about some issues I was having right before the holiday season and he answered every question I had and was very helpful over the phone. Eventually dropped off my truck and we stayed in communication until it was ready to be picked up. I won’t be going anywhere else for as long as these guys are in business. I highly recommend them if you’re on the edge and not sure just give them a call they have your best interest in mind and wanna take care of you

They figured out what was going on with my truck and it's been a few months since I let them go through it and it's been running perfectly since.

The engine on my school bus conversion randomly shut down while I was driving and I was stranded on the side of the road on Friday night. With the weekend approaching, I was calling diesel mechanics and talked with Phil at Heavy Line. He was incredible! He spent 15 minutes at the end of his week just talking with me helping me to figure out what was wrong. He thought it was electric, and when I pulled open the battery bank, I found the disconnected wire. Phil didn't have to spend so much time just talking with me, but he was patient, knowledgeable, and so helpful. I am so incredible grateful. If he was so helpful in such a short time, how much more so he and his whole business will be on a full project. Thanks so much, Phil!

It's funny, I happened to find this place by accident and it ended up being an amazing experience. Long story short, I had a hunch I could trust these people with my very undesireable 7.3 diesel van that had HPOP line failure (plus attempted theft damage)-and it was true! They got me squared away in under a week. It was unbelievable. Phil does great business. Anything from basic repairs to one-off, meticulously customized performance builds. These are the diesel specialists you hoped for. Thanks again!

Came in with a bogging down Chevy truck and left with my Big Blue beast running strong again! Phil took time to help me as well as teach/inform me what he was doing while doing it. He also was able to get my limo running when other mechanics were not able to. I trust Phil with any and all of my vehicle/mechanical needs.

These guys know what they're doing with Diesel engines. Took on a tough diagnostic on a vehicle others run the opposite direction from (a Dodge Sprinter) fixed it up for me quick and at a good rate. ??

Awesome work. Spent hundreds at 2 other dealers who didn’t fix the issue and told me I had to replace head gaskets for $7k! Phil kept me up to date and well informed on what was going on and also found the coolant leaks within the hour. I did not need head gaskets and would have been furious if I would’ve paid $7k for something that didn’t need to be fixed. Will be back again for sure! Thanks Phil!

Phil has come through for me several times to keep my concession business running. Last minute even, and when higher dollar jobs are in front of me. All because he understands how to properly prioritize. He won't let you down if he can help it. I can appreciate that even the little guy matters!

On the road, traveling, they guys helped us out tremendously!! Sincere timing and willingness to Get us back on the road!! Non-traditional issues got it fixed and we are on our way... honest integrity, just happy to have found the shop and by chance were the answer we needed!! They don’t know how much this means to our family!!

Phil was amazing to work with. He was very patient and explained every detail down to the smallest issue on what was wrong with my truck. It helped me a lot. He was honest about what it was going to cost to even get it up and running. He helped me lay out my options. He was patient while I made the best decision. I had insurance claim and he was right on top of it. He was very helpful getting all that information across. I will continue to go back to Phil for all of my diesel work. It’s not easy finding great mechanics.

Phill is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever dealt with. He is beyond disrespectful and told me he doesn’t remember people’s names until they spend $10,000 would not recommend to anyone who owns a vehicle. He is not trustworthy. Constant lies until he gets your truck in.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else , diagnostics were very efficient and accurate. Had my truck back within the matter of days!! They know what they’re doing and do it right the first time. Saved me money and a lot of aggravation! Thanks again and will be back with out a question.

I’m so glad that I have Phil and his team work on my SUV. My transmission was leaking fluid and they able to fixed with a very very low cost. I save myself $1260. I went to Shakopee transmission & auto to get it look at and they told me that it’s going to cost me $1500 to fix the problem. They said that it need to replace a transfer case. Used transfer case is $900 and the labor cost is $600 and they not even 100% sure if that will fixed the problem. ? ??? Good thing I kept calling Heavy line automotive. Phil is an awesome guy, he will not rip you off. Thanks Heavy line automotive!!! Y’all save me $1260 dollars!!!!!

Phil has done nothing but treat me right! He’s a straight shooter and will not beat around the bush when it comes to your vehicle. In a little over a year Heavy Line has turned my truck into a monster that needs to be unleashed. Do yourself a favor and go here where someone really knows what they’re talking about and someone who truly appreciates your business!! I’m forever a customer when it comes to Heavy Line!

Phil did an amazing job on my vehicle. Prices are extremely fair, and if something extra needs to be fixed Phil will call you to get the green light before proceeding. He even took the time on New Years eve, and New years day to help me start my vehicle in the -15 degree weather. I wouldn't and won't bring my truck to any other mechanic. The knowledge, honesty and professionalism is just unbeatable. I would give more stars if google allowed me to. Thank you Phil!

Phil was fantastic! Called him on the phone about my transmission problem asking for a quote to rebuild or replace it. He asked a few questions, told me to bring it by the shop for a look and scan before doing anything. He took a look, ran the scan, topped off fluids that I mistakenly thought were ok. Got me out the door for under $100, saved me potentially $$$$$. Very honest, very helpful, fantastic businessman and mechanic. He has my business from now on and I will be recommending him to all my friends and family.

The guys here know what they are talking about and very cool dudes. Got a radiator repair done in no time and the dropped us off at work and offered to pick us up. Thanks guys!

You will be hard-pressed to find more trustworthy, professional, informative and reasonably priced mechanics anywhere in the Twin Cities. I brought my vehicle here once and have been coming back ever since. Phil goes above and beyond my expectations every time, and that is really saying a lot. No matter what issue you may be having with your vehicle, don't hesitate to call Phil or Danny. They are very easy to talk to and work with everyone to figure out the best option with no pressure. I would give 10 stars if I could!

The guys at heavyline are very informative and do great work. They are hard workers and spent more time on my truck than they charged. I believe they are honest guys not trying to stick you or gouge you every Chace they get.

The owner himself towed my flooded car out to safety after the end of the workday. We were stranded without options, and he came through with friendly and professional service. He even stayed an hour after to try and get it running. Unfortunately, the engine was shot, but that doesn't diminish the service I received in a stressful time. I only wish this shop were near my hometown.

Phil went well beyond the average mechanic's role in helping me out of a VERY frustrating situation. I was defrauded in the process of buying a van from a notorious Scott County felon, and Phil went out of his way to call this guy out, and repeatedly go to bat for me. It's not often that I've come across a man with the level of integrity that Phil has. He helped me out, and stayed in correspondence with me daily for almost two weeks throughout this awful situation. He gave honest automotive expertise and advice, and was everything one could want in a mechanic - informative and caring. If I didn't live in the north suburbs, Heavy Line would unfailingly be my go-to shop. Until then, I can rely on his opinion and advice to be solid and trustworthy, and for all of my non-emergency maintenance that I can drive to him for, he will be at the top of my list! Very knowledgeable, open, honest and reliable. Provided me with several repair options to choose from and took the extra time to thoroughly explain everything so I could make an educated decision. They even took the extra effort to show and explain to me the problems with the parts that were replaced on my car.

Took my civic in for a wheel bearing and got unbeatable service and pricing. The guys here are very knowledgeable and honest. This is the second time I have been to this shop and I will keep coming back.

I wish I could give Phil and Heavy Line Automotive more than five stars. I called KMA towing after dealing with another unhelpful towing/repair service and an unsympathetic dealership. I'd already missed a day of work and needed some serious help. Luckily, I found Phil and he showed up, diagnosed the problem in less then ten minutes and offered to tow my car to a repair station of my choice or to his and he would fix it for me. I wisely chose to send it with him and he had it fixed and it was back at my apartment in a matter of hours. Being a single woman with no family in town, I was pretty vulnerable but was in honest and capable hands and am so very grateful. I feel like I have a friend I can call now when I have car troubles. If everyone did their job as well as Phil, the world would be a much nicer place. ;) Call with confidence.
