I can usually find cool things here! Open until 4:30, so I can just barely make it after work. Other thrift stores in town close earlier. Wish they were open on the weekends like the are others in town.
Every time I go there or try to go there. They are closed and I have called ahead for the budget shop and they tell me of course they will be open. We drive a long way to come here and then all excited and no one is there and it’s closed! Not really happy right now
Great for dropping off recycling. Limited plastic acceptance. Numbers 1 & 2 for plastic so most of your yogurt containers and clamshells (from takeout) are not accepted. People are on site and willing to provide guidance with regard to how to sort. Surprisingly clean.
This place is a great place that is important to the sustainability of Grand Marais. I am only really familiar with the thrift store part of the establishment. There are so many things in the store. Truly a treasure chest. However, you have to be willing to search for your treasure because they LOAD this place with items to the point where it can seem to be a chore to find the things you are looking for. HOWEVER, the search is worth it. I've always been able to find something here that makes it worth my time and effort. Happy searching!!
