I first went to Fridley Automotive in December of last year after hitting a chunk of ice that partially ripped a skid plate on the bottom of my car that caused it to drag. They got me in as soon as possible and removed it free of charge, which most shops wouldn't do. I have been taking my car there ever since. Their pricing is excellent and their techs know how to work on German vehicles quite well. They are sure to tell me about things that really do need attention, but do not do what dealerships do which is provide a list of $10k worth of service on minor issues. The staff is also very friendly and remember me and my car each time I call or visit. It is always nice to have that personal touch at businesses that I frequent. I will only be taking my cars here from now on and I highly recommend that you do the same.

These guys are great, honest. They helped me out when the undercarriage of my car got damaged when I was driving to through a deep puddle during a rainstorm with low visibility. The undercarriage of my car was dragging on the ground and I couldn't have driven very far and barely limped it to their shop. They could have taken advantage of the situation and charged me an arm and a leg I couldn't go anywhere else, but instead they told me it was an easy fix and did it for free. I would absolutely return to them for for future automotive services knowing that they are honest people. Highly recommended

I went there to get a third price quote and confirmation that it was indeed the vacuum pump making my breakpedal stiff. Well upon going to another place to actually to get the work done I was told the plug from the break to vacuum pump wasn't plugged in. It was like for days and didn't know and when I went back to question it and let them know to be more watchful next time. I was told why should it matter breaks weren't working anyways. Oh they did I had to press harder than normal but they were there. And it mattered definitely to the shop I went to about my safety and the safety of others. Please own up and acknowledge your mistake whether it was your fault or someone else. I will not be going back.

After multiple trips to Audi dealerships with intermittent misfiring issues and no resolution to the problem, I have decided to try Fridley Automotive, a small shop near my office. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, of front desk staff and the owner himself. Very understanding, listening carefully, knowledgeable and super efficient in communication and doing actual job. Communication and transparency, in my opinion, are at a much higher level and more personal than the dealership shops. The job was done quicker and at cheaper rates than other shops in the industry. I will strongly recommend Fridley Automotive.

I came recommended by a good friend and distinguished war veteran. Yet they were Not very friendly or welcoming from the moment I walked in the door the owner was salty like he didn't want my business it Felt discriminatory and Mechanic was rude. They brought my vehicle into the shop and the mechanic mentioned that he saw multiple things wrong with the vehicle but wouldn't say what those things were. I was told that they would text and email me an estimate Monday. When you have someone willing to spend their hard earned money and you're asking for their personal information regardless of your judgment of them you should treat them fair and with respect. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe that this was the service I was receiving.

I have had them do 2 jobs for me and both have been pain free. They did a downpipe replacement / upgrade on my bmw x3 and more recently an oil change. Both jobs were done at the estimate, didn’t try to upsell me on stuff I didn’t need. They have been friendly both on the phone and in person, jobs done BEFORE they said they would be, and that’s important to me since I would be stranded an hour away from work if they didn’t finish. 10/10 would recommend

Fridley auto has done a lot of work on my Acadia since opening-they’re truly the best! They’re efficient, knowledgeable, and great at explaining what they’re doing/why. They’re good about calling with updates and getting you a loaner if you need one. Their prices are great, I’ve never had an issue with getting my car in, and you can tell they truly care about the work they’re doing and the service they’re providing. They just recently got my car in last minute and were able to get it done quickly because they knew it’d be a bit of a pain for me to be without my car for another day. They truly are the best and I cannot recommend them enough.

This shop has worked on all 4 of my cars (GMC Sienna, Lincoln LS, GMC Envoy, and my Hummer H2 for reference). I have been in this shop so many times and they take care of me each time. I even recently had to replace the transmission in my H2 and they were kind of enough to send me pictures of the transmission so I could get it over to the tech. I am very thankful for Fridley Automotive and appreciate their professionalism. I am sure I will be in again in a few weeks with something else that needs to be fixed ?. Also big thanks to Hunter for always helping me out!

Brought in my car for an engine light and rough running car. They diagnosed my car and found that my issue was covered by Mercedes. Honest and great customer service! Highly recommended!

Took it in for an engine light, told them I thought it just needed an oil change. Changed the oil, didn’t look at the light. Took it in for a slow tire leak, they replaced the valve and sent me home. It kept leaking so I called and left voicemails twice, they didn’t return either so I went in. They looked at it, said nothing was wrong and “resealed”. It was leaking faster than before so I took it to Firestone. The valve Fridley automotive had replaced was loose and they hadn’t resealed the whole thing. They charged me about $200 for each of the first three visits. Firestone checked everything and fixed all of their poor work for only $20. Don’t go to Fridley automotive, bummed that I got screwed over supporting local. Attached is a photo of the bent piece from them not putting it together correctly.

Excellent work and very good customer service, they fixed the problem with my car the same day, I definitely recommend them, they are now my trusted company.

Terrible customer service! And they half do their jobs!!! I have taken my vehicle to them 2 times for an oil change, each time my fluids were not topped off! I made them aware each time but it's always,oh we can make u an appointment and take care of that for u, for a fee of course! But that comes with the oil change,right? Now their saying I may have a leak! Really?! Sooooo all of my fluids are leaking? Sad how it may have been a mistake to simply forget to add fluids, but not taking accountability for NOT doing your job right not once but twice is just flat out ridiculous!!!

Great team. I have an older (2012) car and I have not only oil changes but rear brakes, alignment and figured out my emergency brake issue. Hunter does a great job upfront and Terry, the owner makes sure things are done right. Had one issue (emergency brake) where they had a couple different options. Terry said they will try a new cable set but would not charge me until they were sure it was resolved. Fair price, honest and does not try to sell you on things that are not necessary. So glad we have a great shop in my area. 30 July 2024 - Update, Just stopped in to see if they could help with a piece of under shielding that had come loose and was dragging. Have to do a quick trip down to Iowa tomorrow and did not want to drive the car that way. Terry said leave it and they will take a look. Got a call from Hunter an hour or so later and said it was ready. When I got there Hunter said no charge, Terry took care of it him self and was not a big deal. That is the kind of service you don't see anymore. If you need a place to get your car serviced this is the place, they will take care of you.

This review is overdue. However, I learned about Fridley automotive shortly after they opened. I had wheel work done on my car, as you should get re-torked after 50 to 100 miles. I had a long ride ahead of me and no time to return to the place that worked on my car so I stopped at Fridley auto and asked if they could do it and graciously they said sure and didn't ask for a dime. It usually costs to have places do that. They told me no charge and proceeded to tell me what they did and gave me a coupon! I was feeling very good about that and promised a review. Fast forward, it got lost in the shuffle of life, but then my husband needed his car repaired he usually went to another shop he was attached to. I told him to go to Fridley auto and reminded him of what they did for me. He went to fridley Auto, and they beat the estimate of his fav shop, and they also gave him the coupon discount they were running. Now they will be his shop. Fridley auto seeks business and shows up and treats their customers well rather it's questions service or minor help they demonstrate what they promote. So if you're looking for honest help and service and connection and customer service. Go to Fridley auto ! They are open for good business and relationships! 5 ?.

Dropped off my car for an oil change before a long road trip. About a half hour into the trip, the oil light goes off on the dashboard. I check the oil stick and it's significantly low. I then checked the receipt and find out they only put in 5.1 quarts instead of the 6.9 quarts my car needs. I called the shop the next day and Hunter blamed it on the VIN scanner. No apology or accountability for the mistake. I can't bring my car back here if they can't even get an oil change right.

Went here on a recommendation. Service was great. Price was super reasonable. We didn’t feel like they were trying to over sell us on things. Will definitely recommend to others and go back if ever needed.

I highly recommend this repair shop. Terry has been honest and fair in all aspects of my repairs. Please do not hesitate in contacting him for any repairs you need. You will not be disappointed with the service (price and repairs) they provide along with the friendliness of the staff.

Got my car in to do a timing belt/water pump replacement. Terry and his team was able to work on my vehicle quick and was able to get my vehicle finished earlier than expected. Terry also allowed me to pick my vehicle up after their shop was closed. Great service and communication. I will come back here for major repairs.

The service they performed was done in a timely manner. When entering, Hunter greeted me with a friendly hello. He also gave me an estimate on how long it would take for my oil change. When my car was done, he went over what needed to be repaired and replaced with a detailed cost on parts and labor. He assured me that my car was safe, though. From calling the day before and speaking with Terry, the owner, to finishing up with Hunter, my experience was outstanding. Excellent customer service! I recommend Fridley Automotive. Thank you!!!

Terry & Hunter were extremely helpful with not only diagnosing the issue with my vehicle, but fixing it extremely quick. I was treated with amazing customer service and highly recommend them.

This is by far the best shop I have been to in a long time, thank God they are open in my area. Terry was very polite and efficient on getting me in then explained all my mechanical questions, then Seneca the technician did an amazing job on the service I received. Thank you guys for opening and being a very honest automotive place!!! Now in days so many other shops like Vavoline & Victory try to get over on women because they think we don’t know what to expect and super over charge for service after not fixing the initial problem you came in for, I have now found my new go to shop, see you guys in two weeks on my next off day to finish my Princess up :)!!!
