So relieved I didn’t have to rebuild my entire engine. I thought we blew up the block but ended up that we blew the front seal. Great prices and HONEST assessment. From 14-18k or more to under 1K. Won’t be going anywhere else. Ever.

Competent, reliable service. Attention to detail, thorough. They contacted me about any complications, and any additional recommended repairs before proceeding. They rebuilt my 2006 Silverado transmission. (I probably overspent, but I love my 8' bed and topper.) I recommend their services.

Wagamon Brothers was most pleasant, understanding and helpful finding the cause of my vehicle’s hard to determine intermittent engine problems

I had a flywheel from an 1948 Farmall tractor resurfaced. They had outstanding communication, outstanding service time and a fair price.

Quality work👍🏽 brought my work truck in recently and they gave me a fair diagnosis of what the issues were and I was able to prioritize what needed to be done immediately and what could wait till next time. Jeff has been very easy to work with, good communication. Dropped off my rig right before heading on vacation and when I got back from vacation they actually had it done sooner than they thought they would have which was a huge help. Highly recommend!

I called to see if they could get me in to replace my battery and they did immediately. I was there early and they took care of my battery and I was on my way within 30 minutes or so. Super friendly guys in the shop. I was referred by my sister who has also had wonderful experiences with them. I will trust them to take care of my car needs going forward. Highly recommend.

Wasn't told of hidden costs , at time of visit. REALLY! $175 AN HOUR AND ONLY TOOK HALF HOUR! Great people but not up front on prices

The service and experience I have had with WAGAMON Brothers has been fantastic! The knowledge they have in car and marine motors is super high and I can tell they care about their work and the customer. I would highly recommend them.

I went from no Kickdown and Cruise Control to full operation on an aftermarket Edelbrock Carburator! Not only does it look clean, professional, and pretty, but the modifications work perfectly, unleashing the full potential of my drivetrian I was missing. Great service and more than reasonable- they priced this project affordable for the average guy. Highly recommended!

Service was fantastic. Fast and informative. They have a great team. I definitely recommend this shop.

Brought a head off of a diesel vehicle for valve guide replacement. I brought the valves still in the head (with springs removed). Magically upon disassembly, it was discovered that the valves had damage and needed replacement. I took excellent care in removal and delivery of the head and its components. I was very disappointed to hear that they had somehow damaged the valves upon removing them from the head yet they expected me to pay to replace them. When i picked up the head and the components they sat the head surface directly on the counter and I included a picture of the parts returned.. I would not recommend coming here.

Had my Harley Davidson Sportster cylinders board and my piston rings sized yo match. Seems like it was solid work but time will tell. Only complaint is it took two weeks longer than it was supposed to.

10/10. They did engine block thread repair on my belt tensioner that no other mechanics in the twin cities would do. Great people, really bailed me out of a horrible situation.

They handled everything—cleaning, machining, piston assembly, balancing the rotating assembly, checking my heads, and putting together the short block—all in just two weeks. The quality is top-notch. My engine came back on a pallet, freshly painted, oiled, and sealed in plastic, ready to go. Joey is fantastic to work with, and the whole team exceeded my expectations. I can’t recommend them highly enough, and they’ll be my go-to for all future machining needs.

The good: fair price, honest about work that didn't need to be done The meh: this is a no-frills joint, don't expect a comfy spot to sit and check your emails while your work gets done The bad: communication is significantly lacking. Updates were not forthcoming. They were already behind due to short staffing when I dropped off, but they didn't advise me of that until they had the car for 6 hours and hadn't started work yet. A simple brakes and suspension job scheduled to start Monday morning should have been done monday afternoon, The work was finished at the very end of the day on Wednesday. Conclusion: it may have been worth 500-700 more to get my vehicle back in 6 hours rather than 72

Not bad. I brought a crankshaft here to get turned and checked out. It came out of a mystery engine and when I couldn't sufficiently clean it up it seemed like a good time to involve a machine shop. These guys were 100% on board with my program and understood exactly what I was trying to do. Everyone I talked to was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. The free tickets to the raceway were a nice touch too! The only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was initially told "2-3 weeks" and that ballooned into about 6-7 weeks. I wasn't in a rush to get the project moving, so ultimately no harm done, but it would have been nice to get updates or have been told a more accurate estimate up front instead of chasing them every other week to find out when it would be finished. If I WERE in any kind of hurry, this would have been really annoying. All told though, I'd happily work with these guys again if I had to. I'm always happy to support a local business when I can.

I had a good experience for a bore and hone, they were pleasant and had knowledgeable staff. Much improved from a decade old experience i had before, will use again. Edit: my block was sleeved for a performance application, so not your everyday engine work. Rotating assembly is balanced, will report back if it holds together!

Prices seem fair, and turn around time for machine work is reasonable. Last week I had some SBC rods reconditioned. I was told about a week and they delivered on time. I always us Wagamon for the last 40 years and been happy.

Thank you Jeff, Clayton, and all at Wagamon Brothers for taking such good care of me in repairing my 2018 Suburban's transmission, air conditioning, exhaust leak, break rotors, and tire pressure sensors. Not only were all these different issues resolved, but Wagamon Brothers did a fantastic job communicating throughout the process. I highly recommend this automotive repair shop! Thank you!

The horrible problems I had at Wagamon Brothers had nothing to do with them. It was all due to Endurance Auto Extended Warranty Company. It took 5 days for them to pay, and when they did they only paid 48% of the repairs. Avoid Endurance like the plague. If you sign up with them, you’re not buying peace of mind — you’re signing up for a future filled with delays, excuses, and aggravation. Consider this your warning. Although when it comes to Wagamon Brothers, you probably couldn't do any better.

Did a great job just expect to pay more than what your told. Got some heads pressure tested. Don’t get me wrong outstanding work. Was quoted 180 came back the next day to pick em up with a 320 bill. No phone calls or extra price was discussed. Like I said great work just expect to pay more than what’s quoted

Thank you Pat , Jeff and Bill. I talked to Jeff on the phone. Pat was there with him helping him answer all of my questions. I was so impressed I drove there to talk in person. Made appointment to have the engine pulled out of my truck to be rebuilt. We discussed pricing the best we could without having the engine out. Pat gave me a tour of the shop where the guys were busy building many engines. They made me feel so comfortable I decided to go with them . I inherited a truck from my Dad. This truck means so much to me. Jeff made several phone calls to me . Giving me suggestions to really bring this truck back to life. I won't lie it was expensive. You get what you pay for. The quality of work and the amount of time they put into my truck was amazing. The mechanic Bill who pulled it and put it back in is a man who pays attention to details. He took his time to make sure my truck was fixed right the first time. If anyone is in need of mechanical work call Jeff and Pat. You will not be disappointed.

I have used the Wagamon Brothers to do multiple repairs on several different vehicles. They are always professional, polite, and timely. I am always pleasantly surprised how clean my vehicle is without fingerprints and grease spots like I’ve had other shops.

A good experience at Wagamon Brothers! Brought in a block, crank, and cam for inspection. I appreciated the thoroughness and explanation of why they recommend what they did. Although my cam was roached (not what I wanted to hear), it needed to be replaced. I would definitely recommend Wagamon Brothers to those looking for qualtiy engine work. Thanks to the entire staff!

I’ve taken multiple engines (mainly cylinder heads) to Wagamon bros, and they have never let me down. Most recently I got my head resurfaced and gone through in less than 24 hours. They’re experienced and have integrity, with the utmost quality behind their work. Can’t recommend them enough.

I have been bringing my truck here since July. First To have my engine rebuilt then for oil changes and a couple other things that have come up , just recently I had to bring it in right before the Holiday’s for a faulty brake switch. They got me in right away and back on the road within a few day’s. Not only do they do top-notch work but they back it 100%. Everyone there is friendly, customer driven and breakdown exactly what needs to be done as well as the cost. My truck has never run as good as it does. I’m a grateful customer that will be returning with all my vehicles for years to come.

Super unprofessional. If I could give Wagamon a 0 rating, I would. If you want quality and honest work, bring your parts elsewhere. I brought my head in for a full service - hot tanked, decked, install new valve guides, remove and install 1 new valve seat as 1 of the original was nicked. Also re-cut all the valve seats to a 3 angle (standard option they had). They said they can do it no problem. I told them to give me a quote before any work is done. Two days later Wagamon called me and said the total was going to be roughly $825.00, and that my head was already being worked on. I said sure since they've already started on it that's fine. A couple days later I get a call that my head is done and ready for pick-up. So I picked it up the next day (Friday). First impression, everything was wrapped neatly as it should be, seemed professional. My mistake was not double checking their work quality onsite when picking it up. When I got home and unwrapped the head, upon inspecting it, I immediately notice that there were some damage to the head and new seat that they had installed and cut. I also noticed that the new seat they had installed was the wrong size. The inner diameter of the 1 new valve seat was 2mm smaller than the rest of the original valve seats and smaller than the tunnel of the cylinder head. I immediately called Wagamon and told them of the issue and damage. The person on the phone said to bring my head back in and they'll get me right. Fair enough. Monday comes around as they're closed on weekends. I brought the head back to Wagamons and showed them the damages and the incorrect valve seat size. Now at this point (2:30pm) they said their machinist that did the work on my head was gone for the day. Pat comes out of his office and takes a look at the head and acknowledges the damages. He stated that the damages was already there when I brought the head in. Denying the fact that they had damaged it and tried to say "it was already like that when it came in". Typical!!! After some back and forth, he denies everything. Basically calling me a liar, Even after I showed him the picture proof of the head condition I took of it before bringing the head in. I normally do this incase of situations like this. Pat even acknowledged that the picture was the same head but still denies damaging my head in the process. Somehow it came in with a little nick but leaves in a worse condition? But they didnt do it? Hmmmm? He didn't even offer to make it right or wouldn't even offer atleast some refund for the damages they did. All he said was "if I wanted them to install a new valve seat and cut it" I will be charged for it! ??? Like really? For something I told them to do when I first brought the head in and had already paid for? They screwed up and don't want no part in correcting it or making it right. No integrity and honesty in this company. Do not trust your parts here. Spend your hard earn money elsewhere! You've been warned! $800 down and the head isn't even in useable condition. Never again. *In reply to Wagamons response* So you are saying I brought you guys a "damaged" head for you to fix and you guys didn't fix it? If that was the case then what was the point of me bringing it in and spending over $800.00 for service and for it to still be damaged? Why would you guys even take in a damaged head in the first place? Makes alot sense. If your shop had performed the work you guys said you did, then the head I brought to you guys wouldn't be at another shop right now getting your guys "work" fixed. Nice try though. Plenty of people reached out about how you guys cheated them and your bad work quality. Surprisingly they didn't give you guys a bad review on here. I'm not one to keep quiet about shady business like this. Keep lying through your teeth. Like I've said, no integrity, honesty or responsibility in your business. With this kind of work, I'm surprised Wagamon is still open! Stay far and clear away from this place unless you want to take your already "worked" on parts to get it re-worked on by a different shop!

I had my subaru engine get "cleaned/detailed", decked, bored, honed and line honed here. The machining took a little longer than expected but thats alright given todays issues. However, the reason for my low rating is because I paid 150$ for the block detail and cleaning and when I went to look at it closely when I got home. I had found, gasket materal, metal deposited in coolant passages and rtv everywhere. There is no way they even cleaned it or touched it. The rtv was coming off with just some brakeclean. I had to sit there for 2 hours with my air compressor and some brakeclean scrapping and cleaning everywhere inside and out on the block untill it was clean. If you decide to use this shop, beware and double check your block is actually "clean" and obviously not up to their standards of clean before assembly otherwise it could cost you a fortune. If you look below, i took these before I cleaned the block but as you can see it is still flithy and full of dirt and oxidation. The 4th pic is actually metal debris that I had to scrap off with a plastic razorblade. It came off with ease and the next pic is what it is supposed to look like for reference after cleaning it.
