Can't speak high enough about the character of these people. Have used them a few times and have nothing but good things to say. Good communication, courteous and pleasant people to do business with. Oh, and my vehicle was fixed perfectly.

I had my car impounded by Wyandotte police. Over a misunderstanding. It is an old hotrod and very special to me. They took it upon themselves to store it inside. And use a bay they would normally use to make money doing their day to day buisness. To make sure nothing happend to it in the elements. These people are honest and top tier human beings. And I want them and the family to know I appreciate what they did.

My small trailer was towed per the city with Groat Brothers supplying the tow service.Upon arriving they were respectful and professional in providing the city's towing.They worked with me getting it out and my experience was very good.Thanks for understanding people and circumstances that sometimes come up fast.
I want to thank Groat Brothers for safely transporting my 1940 Ford Deluxe. My dad would be pleased we patronized yet another Wyandotte Legacy. Awesome job!
Staff very demeanor and won't trust them or come here again. My issues still continued and wanted to cause more problems, inefficient and damaged my vehicle and claim no ownership, seeking legal actions.
Solid experience. They didn’t jerk me around. Communicated well. They could have lied and told me the problem was bigger than what is was and I wouldn’t have known the difference. I appreciate their honesty and speedy service. Will be a return customer.
They towed my 2020 f150… what do you know, next day my transmission blows up? Ill be filing a formal complaint with the wyandotte police chief. I hope there was no foul play, ford is investigating.
I don't know what happened to this place. They are terrible. I keep bringing my vehicle and paying to get it fixed only to have the exact same issues keep appearing. They are not getting another penny of my money.
I have always used Groat Brothers for my repair needs and have been pleased with the service. However my last experience was not up to par. Had a power steering leak,. Took it in and had it repaired in August of last year. Everything was fine for about 2 months and it again began to leak. I called and explained what was happening and was told to bring the car back in and they would check it which I did. However, when they called me nothing was mentioned about the leak. I was only told I needed a gear box. Granted, the car is an older model (1997) and things happen to older models which I understand, but expected more. Was kind of brushed off about the leak. Will I continue to use this business? Yes, as prices are very reasonable. Guess I will just keep putting power steering fluid in every 2-3 days since I am on a fixed income and cannot afford repeated repairs other than necessary.
My Jeep started over heating on a holiday weekend. They were able to tow my vehicle first thing Monday morning and repairs were completed by Tuesday. What was even better was the fair cost for the repair, other shops couldn’t even come close! Great shop that I will use again if needed in the future.
Had my car impounded, when I got it back had my 600$ glasses missing and a couple other things. Also there's 2 police men of wyandotte that basically own this business that make money everytime a car gets impounded. So if you get your car impounded for something small don't be surprised, the officers are just trying to make some money?
Equinox was stolen and recovered police said they needed to process it no calls or no communication from Groat brothers saying it could be picked up no communication at all well the longer it sits on their property the more money they make so these guys turned it in as an abandoned vehicle vehicle even after I called a month ago the answer I received this morning was well I don't know man. Becarful with these shady guys.
Love Groats....great people, they are not out to rip you off. Joey is awesome!! They work on all our cars. And if you get the fortune to talk to Sharon, she is just the best of them all.
Friendly, honest mechanics. They've kept my son's beater running on multiple occasions. Had a nail in my tire this afternoon and the guy literally put his lunch down to come out and plug it for me real quick.
These guys are top notch mechanics, they do what they say and they do a fantastic job and they give you a fantastic price for the work they do.
I have used them t many times over the years for mechanical work and towing great people.

Good luck if you get something impounded, this company is going to bleed you dry. Would not recommend these guys for anything, very rude and not even close to helpful. Will never do business here or tell anybody to go here for nothing!!!!!!!
Alternator went out and we called Groat Brothers for a tow. They were easy to talk to and as helpful as they possibly could be. They arrived quickly and Adam did an excellent job with the tow and the details the auto shop asked for. The shop was closed and needed Adam to drop the vehicle and keys in exact spots on their property. He did. Overall Groat Brothers provided excellent and polite professional service. Thank you Groat Brothers.
These guys are professional and understand great customer service. Very efficient, polite and considerate. A downriver institution, been around forever, honest fair minded. They do really good work.
This is the absolute best place to take your vehicle. I never have to worry about being scammed. None of this nonsense about "Oh, it was a much larger repair than we thought" crapola. They use premium parts so those cost a touch more but not enough to make me go elsewhere. And Ladies, they do not treat you like you are stupid and try to pull a fast one on you. I have been using this place over 20 years now. You get what you pay for and you only pay for what for you got. Joe and his family put great service together with a sterling reputation for being fair. I also receive excellent service and work from the places they reccomend for the jobs they don't do there. Just tell them the Groats sent you.
Although people keep saying it a honest mistake I think it needs to be known that they came out to give a jump to my neighbors car and with out consulting anyone HE began to unlock MY car to jump it. By the time I got to him, he was in my car. The information given was a RED car with the address and mine is a BLUE one. After consulting him he began to tell us he had keys to the car ( your first clue if it didnt open ) and said it was a mistake. I do NOT know his intentions and didnt know how to react. After contacting the police department they began to say that the guy is dumb and pretty much they know who it is. Even this "awesome business" you should keep your eye out for this man who doesn't even know how to read a color. Wouldn't want any of you to have to the problem.
I had the absolute best experience with this towing company! (I hope I never come to them on the same terms lol) but, the staff was very friendly and they even stayed open a couple minutes later for me to make it to them after getting off work and avoid an extra day storage fee. I had to call a couple times for information and they were very patient, considerate and respectful over the phone. Would definitely recommend!
Had my car impounded, it was in my mom's name who was in intensive care. They wouldn't let me get it out because everything had to match. Insurance, license, & registration. I explained the situation to them ,,& had my mom's license they wouldn't give me car. I tried asking if letter from DR. Would help I kept getting no. After 4 days they finally gave me the car. They just wanted the EXTRA MONEY!!!! What a inconvenience always at the worst time.
A week ago my car was towed and when my car was released it had to be towed out of their yard because the tie rods were broke. Mind you I was driving and pulled over and that's why my car was towed. My car was driving just fine. So not only did I have to pay an impound fee I had to pay for another tow parts for car and the labor. Also o had new belongings in the back seat worth $75 and was gone when my car was released. I do not recommend this place to anyone
If you need any work done on your car these are the people to see. Been going to see these guys for over 10 years now and they are great. Fast, reliable and reasonable priced. I won't get auto work done anywhere else.
