The ladies that work here have always been very kind and friendly. I have witnessed them deal with chaotic situations and it is a shame that some people who visit the recycle center do not treat them with the respect they deserve. They have rules to follow and try to keep things orderly. I have witnessed some people be extremely rude to them.
The recycling center is convenient and usually well-organized, though it can get busy at times. Unfortunately, the experience is overshadowed by the staff member who works there — her rude and dismissive attitude makes the process unpleasant. I wouldn’t be surprised if her behavior discourages people from using the facility. I hope this can be addressed so the recycling center remains a positive resource for the community.
Terrible. Couldn’t even pick up a single extra trash bag that didn’t fit in the can I have, and just left it to rot on the side of the street. Lazy employees and I hope I see them next week.
Terrible. They change the rules whenever they want, then get upset at you for wanting answers. Jan is a miserable person, and actually swore at me today because my weeds have dirt with them...duh they are weeds. The supervisor, no better. Absolute waste of my tax dollars.
That small garbage dumpster where to throw your lawn bags always full, was told bring back home and trash it. I asked little red headed old lady where can i dump these items i had ( i didnt know they didnt take) she replied " idk take them somewhere dont dump them here. Very rude individual.
First off, I called 4 times and no one answered. Why have a phone if you don't use it.
Second, the woman who works here is the most disrespectful and aggressive person I have ever experienced in any business. We accidentally threw in a branch that was a little too thick apparently into the mulch pit (bushes and branches pile) and she came out of the building (which we waited at to have our IDs checked at for a while but no one came out) and starting YELLING "WE DONT TAKE LOGS HERE! YOU THREW IT AS FAR AS YOU COULD. GO GET IT OUT. WHERE DID YOU THROW IT?" We did grab it out without any questions asked because it was our mistake. She could of told us professionally but instead told us like a Karen. There are some wonderful customer service and anger management courses out there that would improve the business and the image of the city tenfold :)
Doesn't show on the Webb site that this place is only for Wyandotte residents. I was treated very rudly by an older lady. Wyandotte comes up in a surch to recycle, it doesn't say anyplace you have to be a Wyandotte resident
Wyandotte has become unbelievable. They want residents to pay to have grass clippings/compost picked up from their house, then you bring your grass clippings to the Recycling Center and I can't dump there because there is "too much dirt" in my grass. Then I am rudely told to drive to a completely different city to dump my "dirty grass". Shame on you Wyandotte.
I was there about a week ago and was greeted by a wonderful, friendly, caring woman. I don't know about previous reviews or who that was, but I was very happy with my visit.
I was there last week with two wyandotte residents with a load of what we thought was yard waste. An old lady karen type woman on a power trip comes strutting in our direction. "You can't dump dirt here" she screamed. We tried to explain what it was, but she refused to speak to us or to inspect what we had. We decided to take it elsewhere and were discussing our next move when we see her on the phone calling the police. FOUR cars show up, although one didn't stay long. All she had to do was be a human being and say something like sorry guys, we don't take that. But she didn't. She wastes the time of Wyandotte PD. She even told the cops that she told (asked?) us to leave, which was a lie. Evidently management condones this type of behavior.
The ladies in the office were polite and helpful to work with but I plan on buying a mulcher soon because the 250 for it sounds like a better investment. I paid 55 dollars for yard waste pick up for them to skip me last week, now that I have 2 weeks worth of grass, the guy asked me on my lunch break if I had a boyfriend to lift it because it's too heavy and he wouldn't take it. Now I have to find someone to take my stuff to the recycling center because I don't own a truck, all my bins are full, and I am paying to have my yard waste not be picked up.
The attendant was very helpful. It was my grandsons first time visiting here and she took the time to explain how recycling bins work. He was very happy
