Even if they don't have the part I need sometimes it's just fun walking around there. A little bit of shopping for everybody especially in the front office you never know what you're going to find I need to use junk tables. Staff is always helpful an entirely friendly. Probably best deal on used tires you're going to find you pick them yourself.

Maybe other people are not being truthful with me, but I am looking to purchase a GM Atlas 4200 inline 06 to 09 motor. I do not need the wiring harness, intake or exhaust manifold I just need the longblock. However, when I went to purchase the motor, I was told it would cost $750 and that is pulling it myself. Every other person I have talked to tells me that they picked up the same motor for between $250 to $400. Why is the price so much higher for motors here, especially when there is no gaurantee that motor is any good whatsoever and may require a full rebuild or worse yet the block may have to go to a machine shop which is about $1200. Even when I asked about an 03 shortly block out a of Trailbrazer, which did not have heads, valve cover was missing and the oil pan was had been taken, the price was still $750. I do not understand the exorbitant prices. Another case in point, there are lots and lots of 3800 Series II/III GM v6 motors just setting. In NA and supercharged form. These motors are so plentyful I have had two given to me, but still yet to pull a 3800 series II/III yourself and buy still runs $750. Finally I was looking at a 1.4L Chevy Cruze motor, the turbo and exhaust manifold were missing. The intake, coil pack and no wiring harness. I was looking to see of the block might be good for a rebuild and I was expecting to pay about $150 to $200, nope $750. Oh, the head had been removed as well. If the prices reflected at Taylor Auto Salvage are the norm across the US, then I guess if I want a motor I will have to pay the $750, but according to many of the people I have talked to on the 4200 forum on FB are kind of stunned when I tell them how Taylor Auto Salvage is asking for motors in most cases that are not even complete. I did call Taylor Auto Salvage to confirm prices and I was told yes $750. I said wow that's a bit expensive and the person I was talking to told me, well you do not have to buy anything from us. Good Bye and they hung up.
